A few weeks ago I went to Centralia for their celebration of antiques they have a beautiful downtown, by the way. If you haven t been you should visit the antique stores, lovely coffee shops, and a McMenamin s that has a movie theater. While shopping I stumbled on a gold mine purchase in my life a Shriner bobble head doll, still in it s original box.I love the Shriners. When I was 8 our next door neighbor was doing a medical school rotation at the Shriners Hospital in San Francisco, and upon seeing that I was confined to a wheelchair and in a fair amount of pain he asked if he could help. My parents told him that I d seen a lot of doctors who said nothing could be done, and that my care would continue to be about pain management and mobility aids. My neighbor set me up with an appointment with some Shriners orthopedic specialists who looked into my case, took me in as a patient, and had me walking again, pain free, within six months.One of my clearest memories of being at Shriners was walking up and down a hallway while some doctors watched my feet. One of my heels didn t touch the ground and caused me great pain if and when it did -- this is something that caused them great concern. "Hamlet," which explores themes of danger, political intrigue and moral corruption, now finds itself in the place established to help resolve international conflicts.
The journey began in London on April 23. the Bard's 450th birthday, and has already made stops from Amsterdam to Prague, Cyprus to the Ukraine.
It concludes at its home theater on April 23, 2016, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.

DENVER (CBS4)- Prescription drugs called Benzos are a class of one of the most widely prescribed medications in the U.S., but there is new concern in Colorado that they are being overused.
Benzodiazepines include a variety of sedative-like medications used to treat ailments like anxiety and insomnia.

Benzos are becoming very controversial in the medical community because of the dangers of tolerance and addiction.
I wish I had explored every other option for relief of my symptoms, said Kelley McMillian.
She started taking the Benzodiazepine Klonopin in 2008 when she complained to her doctor about anxiety and problems sleeping.
I didn t even know what they were, said McMillian.
The then 29-year-old was prescribed a daily 1.5 milligram dose of Clonazepam, the generic version of Klonopin, a high dose but within normal parameters.
I grew up kind of believing that psychiatric medications were normal, said McMillian.
Over the next few months she said the drug worked wonders. But those months turned into years and that s when she started noticing other problems.
If I didn t have my medication or if I ran out, I wouldn t be able to sleep, said McMillian.
And she started to notice other side effects; her good memory was faltering and her mood and anxiety actually started to get worse.
At one point McMillian stopped taking the pills cold turkey, I couldn t sleep and I just fell into a massive depression, I was crying for days.
It was at this time that a different doctor told her that she was worried McMillian developed a dependency and needed to ease herself off the drug slowly.
When they are taken for a very long time, the body builds a resistance to the medication, said University of Colorado Hospital Addiction Specialist Dr. Patrick Fehling.
Fehling said Benzo s do serve a helpful purpose in treating short term anxiety, Where Benzodiazepines are dangerous really involves their addictive potential and their overdose potential.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drug overdose deaths surpassed motor vehicle deaths in 2011, with Benzo-related fatalities responsible for more than cocaine or heroin.
There are risks with these medications, they are control substances for a reason, said Fehling.
Specifically in Colorado, Benzo-related deaths have risen sharply. According to a recent report from the National Institute of Drug Abuse Colorado, death rates have nearly doubled from the years 2003 to 2012.
It s most dangerous when it s mixed with other substances such as alcohol or prescription pain killers, said Fehling.
Getting off them has been really difficult, said McMillian.
McMillian is almost completely off of her medication. Now she s using other coping methods such as not drinking alcohol, exercising and using her profession as a writer to document her experience.
Benzos are not a cure, they are a Band-Aid, said McMillian.
She advises those with similar issues to do research before turning to prescription drugs, I never knew that these drugs had the potential for chemical dependency.
Fehling said medical offices nationwide have put an emphasis on the potential dangers of Benzodazipines.
Anyone who believes they may be developing a dependency or addiction is urged to talk to their health care provider.

Women 鈥?are you confusing a bunion with arthritis? 
 
No woman wants to hear that she has arthritis, especially in her feet.聽 But with the average person taking thousands of steps each day, it鈥檚 no wonder arthritis affects us.聽 
 
Unfortunately, some women confuse what they think is pain from a bunion with arthritis in the big toe joint. This condition is called Hallux limitus and most commonly affects females. We usually see its onset in a patient鈥檚 30s, and it progresses over time.

The reason women may confuse Hallux limitus with a bunion is the fact that this condition also causes a bump and enlargement at your big toe joint that may appear similar to a bunion. As the condition progresses, more degenerative changes to the joint occur. More spurs develop, the range of motion gradually decreases and the joint can become very stiff. When the pain increases and the function decreases, we then refer to this as Hallux rigidus.聽 
 
How do you get arthritis in your feet? 
 
Arthritis in the big toe joint can be hereditary but also due [url=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com]Sac Louis vuitton[/url] to structural abnormalities of the foot.聽 Most patients notice a gradual enlargement of the big toe joint with bumps on the top and side of the joint.聽 However, many times it鈥檚 only with increased exercise or activity levels that they may notice increased pain, achiness and sometimes swelling of the joint.聽 
 
The condition can easily be diagnosed in a physical exam by your podiatrist and with X-rays of the foot.聽聽The X-rays are needed to determine the extent of the issue and help guide treatment. 
 
How do you treat it? 
 
Non-surgical: Hallux limitus is initially treated conservatively.聽 Depending on your pain level you may need steroid injections to decrease inflammation in the area, oral anti-inflammatory medication or ice/heat therapy.聽 Changing shoe gear is important as well as adding custom orthotic devices to your shoes to help offload the stress at the big toe joint. 
 
If the condition continues to progress, causing pain and decreased function, despite the conservative treatment, surgery is then recommended.聽 The severity of the condition at that time will determine which surgical procedure to do.聽 
 
For more minor conditions we can perform a cheilectomy where the spurs are resected from the joint area.聽 This can help improve the joint motion and decrease pain.聽 It is known as a joint-salvaging procedure so the joint is preserved. 
 
For more advanced conditions where the joint is significantly degenerated, the joint-salvaging procedures are not [url=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com]LOUIS VUITTON Site Officiel[/url] the best option.聽 We then need to look at replacing or fusing the joint surfaces.聽

Most patients do very well with this despite having a fused joint and most are able to resume some type of physical activity.聽 Recovery from surgery is quicker for the cheilectomy and joint implant-approximately four to six weeks, but a little longer for the fusion so as to allow adequate time for the bones to fuse-up to eight to 10 weeks.聽 
 
Again, conservative treatment is the best option, but if left unchecked, surgery may be the only option left. If you are unsure if you have arthritis in your feet, contact your podiatrist and have a full examination.

The enter their 2014 season as one of the most talented teams in all of football. Clearly, a recent trend of being furiously active in free agency has paid off for Denver, and head executive John Elway has to be given a great deal of credit.
In March of 2012, Elway landed the biggest free agent in the history of the NFL in Peyton Manning, instantaneously making the Broncos a contender for the Super Bowl. That move worked to not only cement the most important position on the field at quarterback, but it also was the first domino in a long line of free agent acquisitions that have Denver poised to make <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton Tassen Kopen</a> another championship run.
During the 2013 free agency period, Elway found Wes Welker, Louis Vasquez, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Terrance Knighton and Shaun Phillips. Each contributed on the way to the No. 1 seed in the AFC and on the road to Super Bowl XLVIII.
But when the Broncos were blown out by the Seattle Seahawks, something had to be done. Denver s offense was dynamic, yes, but their defense needed improvement in a hurry. Elway went out to get safety T.J. Ward, cornerback Aqib Talib and, most importantly, pass-rushing defensive end DeMarcus Ware.
While passing the football has risen to prominence as of late putting a greater need on having a secondary loaded with talented playmakers the game is still being won in the trenches. No matter how good your passing game, it can be disrupted by a determined pass-rush. Take that Super Bowl loss last February for example; Peyton Manning didn t have the time needed to throw the ball, resulting in multiple turnovers including the pick-six turning point of the <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton</a> contest.
Rushing the quarterback, putting consistent pressure on passers, that s the way to disrupt offenses in today s NFL.
In 2012, Denver s defense possessed a great pass-rushing duo in Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil, which helped create turnovers, both in the form of fumbles and interceptions. Last year, with Dumervil gone and Miller out most of the year due to suspension and injury, the Broncos pressuring abilities left a lot to be desired.
This season promises to be much more like 2012, though, when the Broncos were tied for most sacks in the NFL (52) with the St. Louis Rams.
That s because there will be Miller, recovered from his ACL tear, on the left side, Ware on the right.
Ware has long been one of the best pass-rushing defensive ends in the NFL. The man was drafted out of Troy by the Dallas Cowboys and spent his first nine seasons in the league with the same team.
Over that time, he started 141-144 games, missing three last year due to injuries. Ware has averaged 64 tackles per season and racked up double-digit sacks in every season but two, his rookie year and last year, when he only had six.
To some, that might be a little worrisome. While he s been great in the past, is Ware slowing down at 31? But don t forget, he battled multiple injuries to his shoulder, quadriceps and back in 2013. In February, Ware had elbow surgery to clean up the joint that had been bothering him for two years, and he s said to be feeling great now, just in time for Broncos training camp.
Of course, football is a physical game, and on Sunday Ware suffered a bruise to his lower right leg. While he participated in stretches on Monday, the defensive end was held out of practice as a precautionary measure.
As long as he and Miller can stay healthy this year, the Broncos will possess one of the fiercest and scariest pass-rushing duos in all of football. That will work to improve the defense and put Denver in position to compete for a championship once again.

At the sentencing hearing, one victim spoke regarding the effect of the robbery on himself, the other store employees, and the business. He mentioned that several customers were in the store at the time of the robbery, including two young children.

Yet, even before North American wireless carriers began offering such services, content providers and social networks were already experimenting with the practice in Europe and emerging markets. Kitsap County Deputy Scott Wilson said Monday he doubted he would be able to discuss results.
State child welfare workers removed two other children, an 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl, from the home earlier Monday.
About 80 searchers including dog teams looked Monday for little Jenise Wright, who was last seen Saturday night when she went to bed. She remained missing Tuesday morning. Her family noticed her missing Sunday morning but didn鈥檛 become worried and call for <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac Louis Vuitton Brea</a> help until that night because she had left the home on previous occasions and wandered around the neighborhood.
The family felt it was relatively safe because it鈥檚 a fenced property, Wilson said.
A decision on whether to continue the ground search Tuesday was pending, the spokesman said.
The little girl鈥檚 disappearance was being called a missing person case with 鈥渟uspicious circumstances,鈥?Wilson said. Most missing children would have surfaced by now, he said.

The search began at about 1:30 a.m. Monday with deputies and volunteers in and around the Steele Creek Mobile Home Park. They cleared the park and searched later in the surrounding neighborhood and wooded area, Wilson said.
鈥淪he鈥檚 really independent, she鈥檚 tenacious,鈥?the little girl鈥檚 father, James Wright, told KOMO-TV, describing the neighborhood as safe and saying his daughter roamed the park.
Other residents in the park described Jenise as outgoing and unafraid to talk to anyone.

The standoff started at a home on the 400 block of Kaiser Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Weld County deputies told CBS4 their fugitive unit had been looking for a kidnapping suspect, Shawn Kilker, who may have abducted his estranged wife last month.

Deputies learned Monday that Kilker may have been home. When officers located the suspect s home, they surrounded it and the suspect and a juvenile refused to leave. Officers coaxed a female and two males, who were inside, away from the scene safely.
Negotiators spoke with the pair for several hours, but at 1:30 a.m., when they stopped responding, deputies discovered two bodies in the home s living room.
It s unclear how they died.

The juvenile, who was believed to be 14, reportedly told deputies they were not <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton</a> being held against their will. It s not clear what the relationship the boy had with the adult.
In any community this isn t something you want to deal with, sheriff s office spokesman Steve Reams聽said. We re trying to get to the bottom of all the twists and turns that took place prior to our knowing about it.
On Sunday, sheriff s deputies entered the home but didn鈥檛 find the suspect and instead seized some items. They said Kilker s estranged wife called on July 30 to say he had kidnapped her. She escaped unharmed.

Cutting back seating would reduce significantly the $250 million price tag. There were also initial plans for the southern end of the stadium to be left open and clear of seating to offer views over Lake Burley Griffin and the Parliamentary Triangle.

Just 7094 fans watched the Raiders disaster against the New Zealand Warriors last weekend while the Brumbies only managed to attract 14,284 to their qualifier final against the Waikato Chiefs last month.
Mr Barr said the revamped plans likely would be 20,000 permanent seats and the ability to increase to 30,000 for big events, including rugby league and rugby union Tests.
I'm ruling out anything over 30,000, that's far too big, Mr Barr said. :That brings down the cost significantly ... there has not been a sporting event in Canberra for more than a decade that's attracted 30,000 people. I would like us to have the problem that we sell out every match rather than have vacant seats for 30 years.

Mr Barr said the plan remained to have the stadium built by 2020, and construction to start in 2018. The government was considering a PPP financial model where a private company would take on the financial risk and there would be no public investment until the venue was built.
There was no timeline on when a design had to be finalised, but Mr Barr already had interest from international companies keen to take on the project.
Brumbies chief executive Doug Edwards said: I think 30,000 <permanent>capacity] is too high, the number we have always talked about is 24,000. But whether the economics stacks up for that, I'm not sure.
