175.44.58.155: WASHINGTON- S&amp;P- Wealth gap is slowing US economic growth

@@@
WASHINGTON Economists have long argued that a rising wealth gap has complicated the U.S. rebound from the Great Recession.Now, an analysis by the rating agency Standard & Poor's lends its weight to the argument: The widening gap between the wealthiest Americans and everyone else has made the economy more prone to boom-bust cycles and slowed the 5-year-old recovery from the recession.Economic disparities appear to be reaching extremes that "need to be watched because they're damaging to growth," said Beth Ann Bovino, chief U.S. economist at S&P.The rising concentration of income among the top 1 percent of earners has contributed to S&P's cutting its growth estimates for the economy. In part because of the disparity, it estimates that <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Sac Louis vuitton</a> the economy will grow at a 2.5 percent annual pace in the next decade, down from a forecast five years ago of a 2.8 percent rate.The S&P report advises against using the tax code to try to narrow the gap. Instead, it suggests that greater access to education would help ease wealth disparities.Part of the problem is that educational achievement has stalled in recent decades. More schooling usually translates into higher wages. S&P estimates that the U.S. economy would grow annually by an additional half a percentage point or $105 billion over the next five years, if the average the American worker had completed just one more year <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>LOUIS VUITTON Site Officiel</a> of school.By contrast, S&P concludes, heavy taxes that would be meant to reduce inequality could remove incentives for people to work and cause businesses to hire fewer employees because of the costs involved.The report builds on data from the Congressional Budget Office, the International Monetary Fund and academic economists to explain how income disparities can hurt growth. Many consumers tend to become more dependent on debt to continue spending, thereby worsening the boom-bust cycle. Or they curb their spending, and growth improves only modestly, as it has during the current recovery.Tax data tracked as part of the World Top Incomes Database project reveal just how much the economic chasm has expanded.An American in the top 1 percent of earners had an average income of $1.3 million in 2012, the most recent year for which data are available. Average income jumps to $30.8 million for the top 0.01 percent.Adjusted for inflation, the top 0.01 percent's average earnings have jumped by a factor of seven since 1913. For the bottom 90 percent of Americans, average incomes after inflation have grown by a factor <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>LOUIS VUITTON Homme</a> of just three since 1917 and have declined for the past 13 years.Yet not all economists agree on how much, or even whether, the wealth gap slows growth.Harvard University economist Greg Mankiw wrote in a 2013 paper that "the evidence is that most of the very wealthy get that way by making substantial economic contributions, not by gaming the system."But S&P challenges the notion that a rising tide automatically will lift all boats:"A lifeboat carrying a few, surrounded by many treading water, risks capsizing," it argues.

About 50 volunteers turned out Saturday morning to help construct new playground toys at Rainier Elementary School.But the nearly $30,000 set couldn t have happened if it wasn t for an outpouring of community support and a lot of work and persistence of 11-year-old student Faith Boesch, according to Rainier School District Superintendent Tim Garchow. Faith came to me and said, What can we do about a new playground? &nbsp; Garchow recalled. I said, Well, we don t have it in the budget. &nbsp; So that s when Faith and her Celine Doctor Frame Bags mom, Ida, decided to make it happen on their own.They wrote grant applications, organized coin drives, tapped businesses and churches for donations, Celine Luggage and set up other fundraisers.They even sent a video asking television host Ellen DeGeneres for support.The Hollywood A-lister didn t respond to their request, but folks who live in the small community in southeast Thurston County certainly did. Everyone stepped up, Ida Boesch said. It s just a tremendous effort of the community, Garchow added. Everyone s gotten behind it. Volunteers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, the Rainier City Council and the school district joined others in digging holes, raking rocks, securing posts and building the playground set, which is accessible to disabled students and features several elements for kids to climb, bounce and play on.The new set is much larger than the school s wooden set, and features toys that are geared toward older kids. I want to try everything, said 8-year-old Matthew Kenney, as he took a short break with his twin brother, John, during the work party.Their grandma Terri Rendahl predicts that the playground will be an instant hit and get plenty of use even when school isn t in session. It s amazing what one little girl s dream turned into, Rendahl said.&nbsp;

175.44.58.155: Shriners refused to take no for an answer

@@@
A few weeks ago I went to Centralia for their celebration of antiques they have a beautiful downtown, by the way. If you haven t been you should visit the antique stores, lovely coffee shops, and a McMenamin s that has a movie theater. While shopping I stumbled on a gold mine purchase in my life a Shriner bobble head doll, still in it s original box.I love the Shriners. When I was 8 our next door neighbor was doing a medical school rotation at the Shriners Hospital in San Francisco, and upon seeing that I was confined to a wheelchair and in a fair amount of pain he asked if he could help. My parents told him that I d seen a lot of doctors who said nothing could be done, and that my care would continue to be about pain management and mobility aids. My neighbor set me up with an appointment with some Shriners orthopedic specialists who looked into my case, took me in as a patient, and had me walking again, pain free, within six months.One of my clearest memories of being at Shriners was walking up and down a hallway while some doctors watched my feet. One of my heels didn t touch the ground and caused me great pain if and when it did -- this is something that caused them great concern. Each of them looked at each other, tilted their heads to the side while watching me <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Yayoi Kusama Louis Vuitton Soldes</a> and said, well, what if we tried until they came up with a plan.This is what the Shriners do they take cases of children under a certain income level that they feel are underserved: burn victims, children with spinal chord injuries, and those with orthopedic problems and ask themselves what they can do to make sure that child is living the best life they can have. That starts from the moment you walk in the door at Shriners you still have to go to school (they had their own teachers who helped you do homework sent from your school) and you had to get yourself there. For one girl that meant rolling herself down the hallway on a table they d put wheels on.Not all the kids at Shriners were as lucky as I was all that remains of my condition is a long scar on the back of my leg. But over the course of your time there they don t set limits in the quest to make you mobile and pain free. Like all other Shriners patients, they continued to see me for free until I was 21. They had to kick me out -- I liked it there so much. That could be seen as an odd sentiment for someone to have for a hospital but their version of hospital didn t fit with what everyone else thought hospitals had to be. Everyone in the hospital was committed to improving lives, <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com/23-sac-porte-epaule>Sac port锟斤拷 锟斤拷paule</a> solving problems, and being present.Community engagement comes in a lot of different forms I spend quite a bit of time in conversation with folks who will tell you that problems <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com/24-sac-porte-main>Sac port锟斤拷 main</a> in Olympia are intractable. They are things we have to live with. I guess it s a legacy of my time with the Shriners that makes me so optimistic and willing to tilt my head to the side as people are talking and say, well, what if we tried Every journey starts with a single step, it s true. And sometimes you have to learn how to take that step in the first place. Then you do one thing, and then another and another, and you see where those things take you.SideWalk has housed 200 people and counting. Big Brothers Big Sisters just started matching kids with mentors again. Olympians in a group pledging to Buy Nothing are organizing a gigantic clothing swap. The Clean Team could sure use our help keeping up downtown Olympia. Community gardens are in full swing all over town. Do a thing --every day.I miss my doctors at Shriners they used to joke that I was too easy. They d look up at me and wink -- saying, that s all you got for us? Come on now if you are going to be so mobile you should be running a marathon by now .
Timothy Valeriani, 37, said he suffered a serious back injury when the 2000 Ford Explorer he was driving was struck from behind by a 2004 Dodge Neon on Feb. 9, 2010, as he was headed north on Saco Street in Westbrook about to turn left onto Bernadette Street.
Valeriani sued the driver of the car, Joann Prevost of Westbrook, in Cumberland County Superior Court, accusing her of causing the crash through negligence, according to court records.
After a three-day trial presided over by Justice Nancy Mills, the eight-person jury returned a 7-1 verdict on Thursday in Valeriani s favor.
Valeriani s attorney, William Robitzek of the law firm Berman Simmons, said the jury s award exceeded the $375,000 he had asked jurors to consider for Valeriani s medical <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-new-arrivals-35>Celine Bags New Arrivals</a> bills, lost wages, pain and suffering.
He was out of work for two years, Robitzek said Monday. The defendant s car was totaled. It went under the trailer hitch of my client s Ford Explorer.
Prescott s insurance company, Allstate Insurance, had claimed that Valeriani was not injured in the crash and had hurt his back afterward. Allstate had offered Valeriani a $60,000 settlement before the trial, but Valeriani rejected it, Robitzek said.
Prevost s attorney, Deborah Buccina of the firm Douglas, Denham, Buccina <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-trapeze-bags-36>Celine Trapeze Bags</a> and Ernst, did not return a phone message seeking comment. Andre Reed's very long day was one that will resonate for a long timeAt last long, the Dieruff High and Kutztown University product is a Hall of Famer after Saturday night's speech hit a home run.Allentown s Andre Reed (left) made special mention of his former (Kirby Lee, USA Today Sports )August 03, 2014|By Keith Groller, Of The Morning CallCANTON, Ohio It was 2:30 Sunday morning inside the chic Canton Club and Joyce Reed-Ebling was still going strong."I can't believe how late it is," the mother of Andre Reed said. "It feels like it's earlier than this."A long-awaited night for the entire Reed family, a night that most families could only dream of, was nearing its end.However, it was a night that Joyce and all members of the family will never forget.Not only was Andre Reed finally a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but his entrance came with the poise, grace, humility, and yes, passion, <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Alma</a> that he brought to the NFL for 16 seasons.There is no official rating system for speeches, but in the eyes of many, Reed delivered the most poignant performance of the night during his 36 minutes at the microphone.He is not Mr. Television like Michael Strahan. The former Giants' defensive lineman was as engaging and as entertaining as expected during his turn on the stage, which followed Reed's.But Reed commanded the attention of the crowd inside Canton's Fawcett Stadium and a national television audience by telling his story of the kid who "didn't grow up with in the easiest of childhoods."While expressing his love for his late father, Calvin, he told the rest of the story, saying: "For all the great things my dad did, he had his faults, just like we all do. And my dad's biggest fault he was an alcoholic. I saw things growing up no child should see. So sports became my safe haven, my shield, my guard."He mentioned his love for his mother, who "did everything she could to keep the family together."He talked about the tight bonds shared with his brothers, Tyrone and Dion, and sister, Teshia.He also mentioned all of the influential coaches of his youth, including Allentown A's coaches Roy Sekoch and Gene Legath and the guys who mentored him at Dieruff including Bruce Trotter, Ted Phillips, Bill Wood and Ted Steiner. He called his Huskies head coach Larry Lewis by the name of Larry Little, perhaps momentarily mixing him up with the former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman and Hall of Famer.That little flub did nothing to diminish Reed's overall presentation."I love you guys all," Reed said of his coaches. "Thank you very much."He didn't forget the Kutztown phase of his life either, mentioning coaches Gino Calcagni, Al Leonzi and George Baldwin and the All-American quarterback who threw him his first TD pass, Lehigh Valley resident Greg Gristick.Of course, the national audience and certainly the large number of Buffalo Bills fans at the stadium couldn't wait for the NFL portion of his speech.The crowd soaked up every minute of his stories about Bills legends like Bruce Smith, Darryl Talley, Thurman Thomas, and of course, Jim Kelly.The sound bite that will be shown over and over again featured Reed telling Kelly: "I was known for my toughness, for going across the middle, making that catch, breaking tackles. But the toughest individual I've ever met in my life is Jim Kelly. You're the reason I'm standing here today."Later, he said: "Jim, you have endured a lot in your life, the loss <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Artsy</a> of a son, and most recently, your battle with cancer. You're an inspiration to all those you touch. I'm honored to call you my teammate, my friend, my family member and now a fellow Hall of Famer. I love you, man."Reed's speech ended with him catching one more pass from Kelly, a completion every bit as special as the 663 connections they had as teammates, a combo that was No. 1 in NFL history until Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison came along.Despite being weakened by his chemotherapy treatments, Kelly stayed at Reed's party long after most of the other 200 guests had left.Thomas, Smith and Marv Levy, the Hall of Fame coach who served as Reed's presenter, was also at the party into the wee hours. Even well-respected GM Bill Polian stayed around late.Levy's longevity was particularly impressive because Sunday was his 89th birthday, something Reed noted when he took the microphone again at his party.It was clear that the Bills' Super Bowl teams of the early 1990s were all about family. So, too, is Reed, who clearly didn't forget where he came from on Saturday night. He made sure they were at the ceremony, and the party that followed.Amid all of the NFL greats, including Dan Marino, Bobby Bell, James Lofton and Curley Culp, were Keith Newhard and John Molotzak, who coached Reed at Dieruff.They were all smiles as they mingled with Trotter, Wood, Gene and his son Adam Legath, Lewis and longtime family friends like Mike Stahl who ran dozens of bus trips from Allentown to Buffalo during Reed's career.Reed, who was cheered loudly earlier Saturday as he participated in a Hall of Fame parade through the streets of Canton, never got to experience a Super Bowl parade or Super Bowl victory party during his career.But this extremely long day that began with a parade and ended with a party was probably as special as any Super Bowl win could have been for the little kid with the big dreams.As tired as everyone felt, no one wanted it to end."He did it," Joyce Reed-Ebling beamed as she gave goodbye hugs. "I continue to be in awe of my son. That speech was just perfect. It was a home run. He included just about everyone and said all the right things. I was always proud of all my kids, but I've never been prouder than I am tonight."Featured ArticlesMore:Related LinksRelated Articles<br>July 31, 2014<br>September 27, 2012<br>February 3, <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Audacieuse</a> 2014<br>January 31, 2014<br>August 1, 2014Find More Stories About|||Please note the green-lined linked article text has been applied commercially without any involvement from our newsroom editors, reporters or any other editorial staff.

175.44.58.155: George Brandis contradicts Malcolm Turnbull over piracy crackdown payments

@@@
The paper includes proposals to block overseas websites that host pirated content and to compel internet service providers (ISPs) to stop users illegally downloading movies, TV shows and music.
Advertisement
''Obviously ISPs don't want to pay to make a contribution,'' Senator Brandis told The Australian. ''Their argument is that, 'Well, we're the innocent bystander'.
''Well, they're not an innocent bystander because they are an unwitting facilitator. We expect the ISPs to make a contribution to the cost of administrating the scheme. No side in this debate can pretend that it is uninvolved.''
Last week Mr Turnbull said <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON</a> rights holders concerned <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON solders</a> about copyright infringement should sue those who illegally download.
''There are some people in the content industry who believe that the costs <of>anti-piracy measures] should be borne in whole or part by the telecommunications sector - by the ISPs,'' Mr Turnbull said.
''I don't find that a persuasive argument.''
The public disagreement reflects a long-standing divergence of views between the two men. Senator Brandis, who is Arts Minister as well as Attorney-General, has advocated tough measures to target illegal downloading while Mr Turnbull, a co-founder of one of Australia's first ISPs, has taken a more minimalist approach.
The proposal to extend ''authorisation liability'' to ISPs would essentially overturn a decision by the High Court in 2012, which found that internet service providers could not be found liable for authorising an act by a subscriber who infringes copyright.
The technology and creative sectors are eager to learn how the two ministers will <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON pas cher</a> work together to tackle piracy. Mr Turnbull said government had a role but that rights holders had the most power to discourage online piracy by making content available quickly and cheaply.
He is organising a public forum on copyright infringement to be held in Sydney later this month.

In 2014, the game has been rebuilt from top to bottom. It features a new look, is mobile and tablet-friendly, and has been extended to include all stocks in the S P/ASX 300.
The Schools Game is run twice yearly, each over a 10-week period, fitting neatly into a regular school term and making for ease of planning for teachers preparing their students curriculum.
Advertisement
Last financial year, almost 70,000 students from more than 1000 schools played the game. Playing the game is only one aspect however, <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com/portefeuille-homme-59>Portefeuille Homme</a> with newsletters, courses and student assignments also available, reinforcing concepts of long-term investing, managing volatility, and dealing with the consequences of overtrading.
All these add to the experience and understanding that students acquire. Teachers consistently praise the game s ability to encourage students to pay more attention to business news and world events, as well as the discussion it generates among students with their peers, teachers and parents about their investment decisions.
Teachers also highlight the practical experience the game adds to the theories and subjects studied in the classroom.
As one teacher said after her experience in 2013, it brings the real world into the classroom, allowing students to make decisions based on research, gut feeling and risk. It is also great for teamwork even though not all students choose to work in teams.
As with all investing there is no doubt that luck plays its part. However, the game proves that carefully considered investment decisions will generally reap <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com/portefeuille-long-51>Portefeuille long</a> better results, as they do in real life. Alongside this year s refresh, the fundamental principles of the game remain intact. In particular, the use of real companies, live prices, brokerage fees, the importance of diversification and dealing with genuine market conditions.
This ensures that participants have as close to a real experience as possible, making the game a great way for students to learn the language of the market and the dynamics of trading.

@@@
Affordable Care Act Updates:

Health News Information:

DENVER (CBS4)- Prescription drugs called Benzos are a class of one of the most widely prescribed medications in the U.S., but there is new concern in Colorado that they are being overused.
Benzodiazepines include a variety of sedative-like medications used to treat ailments like anxiety and insomnia.
Clonazepam, the generic of Klonopin. (credit: CBS)
Benzos are becoming very controversial in the medical community because of the dangers of tolerance and addiction.
I wish I had explored every other option for relief of my symptoms, said Kelley McMillian.
She started taking the Benzodiazepine Klonopin in 2008 when she complained to her doctor about anxiety and problems sleeping.
I didn t even know what they were, said McMillian.
The then 29-year-old was prescribed a daily 1.5 milligram dose of Clonazepam, the generic version of Klonopin, a high dose but within normal parameters.
I grew up kind of believing that psychiatric medications were normal, said McMillian.
Over the next few months she said the drug worked wonders. But those months turned into years and that s when she started noticing other problems.
If I didn t have my medication or if I ran out, I wouldn t be able to sleep, said McMillian.
And she started to notice other side effects; her good memory was faltering and her mood and anxiety actually started to get worse.
At one point McMillian stopped taking the pills cold turkey, I couldn t sleep and I just fell into a massive depression, I was crying for days.
It was at this time that a different doctor told her that she was worried McMillian developed a dependency and needed to ease herself off the drug slowly.
When they are taken for a very long time, the body builds a resistance to the medication, said University of Colorado Hospital Addiction Specialist Dr. Patrick Fehling.
Fehling said Benzo s do serve a helpful purpose in treating short term anxiety, Where Benzodiazepines are dangerous really involves their addictive potential and their overdose potential.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, drug overdose deaths surpassed motor vehicle deaths in 2011, with Benzo-related fatalities responsible for more than cocaine or heroin.
There are risks with these medications, they are control substances for a reason, said Fehling.
Specifically in Colorado, Benzo-related deaths have risen sharply. According to a recent report from the National Institute of Drug Abuse Colorado, death rates have nearly doubled from the years 2003 to 2012.
It s most dangerous when it s mixed with other substances such as alcohol or prescription pain killers, said Fehling.

By Dr. Sarah Voelkel<br>
&nbsp;
Women 鈥?are you confusing a bunion with arthritis?<br>
&nbsp;
No woman wants to hear that she has arthritis, especially in her feet.聽 But with the average person taking thousands of steps each day, it鈥檚 no wonder arthritis affects us.聽<br>
&nbsp;
Unfortunately, some women confuse what they think is pain from a bunion with arthritis in the big toe joint. This condition is called Hallux limitus and most commonly affects females. We usually see its onset in a patient鈥檚 30s, and it progresses over time.<br>
&nbsp;
Hallux rigidus (Photo from Wikimedia Commons)
The reason women may confuse Hallux limitus with a bunion is the fact that this condition also causes a bump and enlargement at your big toe joint that may appear similar to a bunion. As the condition progresses, more degenerative changes to the joint occur. More spurs develop, the range of motion gradually decreases and the joint can become very stiff. When the pain increases and the function decreases, we then refer to this as Hallux rigidus.聽<br>
&nbsp;
How do you get arthritis in your feet?<br>
&nbsp;
Arthritis in the big toe joint can be hereditary but also due Sac Louis vuitton to structural abnormalities of the foot.聽 Most patients notice a gradual enlargement of the big toe joint with bumps on the top and side of the joint.聽 However, many times it鈥檚 only with increased exercise or activity levels that they may notice increased pain, achiness and sometimes swelling of the joint.聽<br>
&nbsp;
The condition can easily be diagnosed in a physical exam by your podiatrist and with X-rays of the foot.聽聽The X-rays are needed to determine the extent of the issue and help guide treatment.<br>
&nbsp;
How do you treat it?<br>
&nbsp;
Non-surgical: Hallux limitus is initially treated conservatively.聽 Depending on your pain level you may need steroid injections to decrease inflammation in the area, oral anti-inflammatory medication or ice/heat therapy.聽 Changing shoe gear is important as well as adding custom orthotic devices to your shoes to help offload the stress at the big toe joint.<br>
&nbsp;
If the condition continues to progress, causing pain and decreased function, despite the conservative treatment, surgery is then recommended.聽 The severity of the condition at that time will determine which surgical procedure to do.聽<br>
&nbsp;
For more minor conditions we can perform a cheilectomy where the spurs are resected from the joint area.聽 This can help improve the joint motion and decrease pain.聽 It is known as a joint-salvaging procedure so the joint is preserved.<br>
&nbsp;
For more advanced conditions where the joint is significantly degenerated, the joint-salvaging procedures are not LOUIS VUITTON Site Officiel the best option.聽 We then need to look at replacing or fusing the joint surfaces.聽<br>
&nbsp;
Depending on your foot structure and the level of joint involvement you may be a candidate for joint replacement where one or both surfaces are replaced with a joint implant.聽 This allows for continued joint range of motion, decreased effect on activity level and improved patient satisfaction.聽<br>
&nbsp;
There are risks of the implant loosening or failing over time, possibly requiring future LOUIS VUITTON Homme surgical revision.聽<br>
&nbsp;
If you are not a candidate for joint replacement, the next option is joint fusion.聽 This is done by removing the damaged cartilage and fixating the area with screws and possibly a plate.聽 This is a permanent correction of the condition with elimination of the arthritis and improved pain.聽<br>
&nbsp;
Most patients do very well with this despite having a fused joint and most are able to resume some type of physical activity.聽 Recovery from surgery is quicker for the cheilectomy and joint implant-approximately four to six weeks, but a little longer for the fusion so as to allow adequate time for the bones to fuse-up to eight to 10 weeks.聽<br>
&nbsp;
Again, conservative treatment is the best option, but if left unchecked, surgery may be the only option left. If you are unsure if you have arthritis in your feet, contact your podiatrist and have a full examination.<br>

175.44.58.155: First on CNN- Romney and Christie teaming up for GOP fundraiser – CNN Political Ticker

@@@
Posted by
Washington (CNN) 鈥?Mitt Romney is Jersey bound.
The former Republican presidential nominee will team up with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for a fundraiser benefiting the New Jersey Republican Party next month, sources familiar with the plans told CNN.
The event is billed as a birthday celebration for Christie, who turns 52 next month.

The September 10 fundraiser 鈥?co-hosted by Christie allies Bill Palatucci, New Jersey GOP Chairman Sam Raia, state Sen. Tom Kean and Assemblyman Jon Bramnick 鈥?will take place in East Brunswick.
Romney is listed as a "special guest."
It鈥檚 the latest high-profile political move for Romney, who is asserting himself on the 2014 campaign trail as a surrogate in <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com>Celine Bags Outlet</a> key Senate and House races, and burnishing his reputation among Republicans in the process.
Romney鈥檚 appearance alongside the New Jersey governor, who is laying groundwork for a 2016 presidential bid, could also signal to Romney鈥檚 network of financial supporters that Christie remains a viable choice for the Republican nomination in the wake of the Bridgegate scandal that engulfed his administration earlier this year and continues to bubble beneath the surface. It's not the first time the two men have shared a stage together this year - Christie was invited to address a Romney-hosted donor retreat in Park City <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com>Celine Outlet Store</a> in June.
While the Republican donor class hasn't fled from Christie en masse, the scandal tarnished his his early frontrunner status and wounded Christie's golden boy status among establishment money-men.
The birthday fundraiser might also heal some bad blood left over from 2012. Christie and Romney 鈥?and their respective loyalists 鈥?had a sometimes fraught relationship at times during the presidential race. Christie publicly mulled running against Romney for the GOP nomination, and later infuriated some Republicans just <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com>Celine UK</a> days before the election by teaming up with President Obama for a tour of New Jersey storm damage after Hurricane Sandy, giving the president some important bipartisan luster in full view of the national media.
"We're incredibly thrilled Gov. Romney will be the special guest at Gov. Christie's birthday party this year," Raia and Palatucci said in a statement provided to CNN.
"Governor Romney has long been a supporter of New Jersey Republicans and we are very much looking forward to the honor of having him back to support the state Party and to celebrate this special occasion with all of our guests.鈥?

Financial terms of the deal weren t disclosed although the <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton Tassen</a> general consensus around the web is that Square paid $90 million in stock.
If you aren t familiar, is a startup that specializes in delivering food to customers from restaurants that don t offer a delivery service. I ve used a competing service in my area multiple times and can attest that such a service is extremely convenient if you don t have the time or desire to pick up your meal from an establishment across town.
It may seem odd that a payments processing company like Square is interested in the food delivery industry but in this case, it actually seems to make a lot of sense. That s because Square launched a food ordering app called <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton Kopen</a> earlier this year that allows users to order from nearby restaurants, pay for their meal then receive an alert when it is ready for pick-up.
With Caviar, Square can now provide a delivery service on top of its pick-up solution. What s more, they can now offer delivery service to restaurants and other small businesses that already use their payment processing service.
Alternately, Square may be able to get some of Caviar s existing clients to switch to them as their payment processor, perhaps by offering <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton Handtassen</a> a nice discount. And of course it only makes sense for Square to add Caviar s delivery option to its Square Order app.

DeMarcus Ware &nbsp;DE #94<br>Height: 6 4 <br>Weight: 258 lbs.<br>Age: 31<br>Hometown: Auburn, Alabama<br>College: Troy<br>Experience: 10 years
The enter their 2014 season as one of the most talented teams in all of football.&nbsp;Clearly, a recent trend of being furiously active in free agency has paid off for Denver, and head executive John Elway has to be given a great deal of credit.
In March of 2012, Elway landed the biggest free agent in the history of the NFL in Peyton Manning, instantaneously making the Broncos a contender for the Super Bowl. That move worked to not only cement the most important position on the field at quarterback, but it also was the first domino in a long line of free agent acquisitions that have Denver poised to make <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton Tassen Kopen</a> another championship run.
During the 2013 free agency period, Elway found Wes Welker, Louis Vasquez, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Terrance Knighton and Shaun Phillips. Each contributed on the way to the No. 1 seed in the AFC and on the road to Super Bowl XLVIII.
But when the Broncos were blown out by the Seattle Seahawks, something had to be done. Denver s offense was dynamic, yes, but their defense needed improvement in a hurry. Elway went out to get safety T.J. Ward, cornerback Aqib Talib and, most importantly, pass-rushing defensive end DeMarcus Ware.
While passing the football has risen to prominence as of late putting a greater need on having a secondary loaded with talented playmakers the game is still being won in the trenches. No matter how good your passing game, it can be disrupted by a determined pass-rush. Take that Super Bowl loss last February for example; Peyton Manning didn t have the time needed to throw the ball, resulting in multiple turnovers including the pick-six turning point of the <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton</a> contest.
Rushing the quarterback, putting consistent pressure on passers, that s the way to disrupt offenses in today s NFL.
In 2012, Denver s defense possessed a great pass-rushing duo in Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil, which helped create turnovers, both in the form of fumbles and interceptions. Last year, with Dumervil gone and Miller out most of the year due to suspension and injury, the Broncos pressuring abilities left a lot to be desired.
This season promises to be much more like 2012, though, when the Broncos were tied for most sacks in the NFL (52) with the St. Louis Rams.
That s because there will be Miller, recovered from his ACL tear, on the left side, Ware on the right.
Ware has long been one of the best pass-rushing defensive ends in the NFL. The man was drafted out of Troy by the Dallas Cowboys and spent his first nine seasons in the league with the same team.
Over that time, he started 141-144 games, missing three last year due to injuries. Ware has averaged 64 tackles per season and racked up double-digit sacks in every season but two, his rookie year and last year, when he only had six.
To some, that might be a little worrisome. While he s been great in the past, is Ware slowing down at 31? But don t forget, he battled multiple injuries to his shoulder, quadriceps and back in 2013. In February, Ware had elbow surgery to clean up the joint that had been bothering him for two years, and he s said to be feeling great now, just in time for Broncos training camp.
Of course, football is a physical game, and on Sunday Ware suffered a bruise to his lower right leg. While he participated in stretches on Monday, the defensive end was held out of practice as a precautionary measure.
As long as he and Miller can stay healthy this year, the Broncos will possess one of the fiercest and scariest pass-rushing duos in all of football. That will work to improve the defense and put Denver in position to compete for a championship once again.

@@@
DONETSK, Ukraine Ukrainian troops took control of a checkpoint Tuesday on the western edge of the main rebel stronghold of Donetsk as the government makes further gradual advances to quash pro-Russian separatist forces in the east.An Associated Press reporter saw a tank waving the blue-and-yellow Ukrainian flag in the suburb of Marinka, which lies on a key road into Donetsk. Rebel combatants could still be seen in sniper positions in a nearby area closer to the city center.As government troops try to tighten their grip around Donetsk, officials in Kiev are warning of a spike in Russian troop numbers along the eastern border, arousing renewed fears of an incursion by Russia.The onslaught against separatist fighters has focused recently on besieging the main rebel strongholds of Donetsk and Luhansk, as well <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Siracusa</a> as the smaller but strategically important town of Horlivka.The wild card is whether Russia, which has been building up troops along the nearby border, will come to the rebels' rescue. President Vladimir Putin has faced increasing pressure from Russian nationalists urging him to send in the army to back the insurgency.After not seeing much fighting other than a rebel attempt in May to seize the city airport, Donetsk has come under shelling in recent weeks. City authorities estimate that around 200,000 people in the city of 1 million have left their homes. The airport is closed, but buses and trains are still running.Pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine have been battling the Kiev government since April. Ukraine and Western countries have accused Moscow of fueling the mutiny with weapons and soldiers, a claim the Russian government has repeatedly denied.The West has also accused Russia of most likely providing the insurgents with surface-to-air missiles that may have been used to shoot down a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet over rebel-held territory on July 17, killing all 298 people on board.Despite the presence of pro-government forces at the western entrance into Donetsk, <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Sistina</a> defense officials said that the situation there remained in flux.A spokesman for the Ukrainian military operation in the east, Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky, said further fighting was expected to ensure full control over Marinka.On Monday, security officials announced that government troops had taken over Yasinuvata, a town just north of Donetsk that is the site of an important railway junction.Security spokesman Andriy Lysenko said that victory would enable the army to cut off a key rebel weapons supply route.The government has for several days claimed success in another key tactical goal of driving a wedge between Donetsk and Luhansk. Fighting in towns between those locations has taken a heavy toll on government troops, however.Around 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of a town that has seen some of the bitterest clashes, a team of more than 100 international investigators from Australia, the Netherlands and Malaysia is traveling daily to the site where Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down. The recovery and investigation operation was delayed Monday after shooting was heard at the search location.Lysenko said Tuesday that 45,000 Russian troops equipped with 160 tanks, more than 1,300 armored vehicles, 192 military airplanes and 134 attack helicopters are at the moment stationed along the border. NATO's current estimate is that there about 20,000 Russian troops massed just east of Ukraine's border.Russia escalated its troop presence along the <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Speedy</a> Ukrainian border earlier this year, but then pulled back large numbers of soldiers in May.Both the United States and Ukraine say Russia has again built up its military presence since then. Moscow denies that claim.Ukraine has accused Russia of firing artillery and rockets at Ukrainian forces across the border to back the rebels. Moscow has rejected these allegations.A small international monitoring mission was last month authorized by Russia to observe a portion of the border that separatists rebels have under their control. The section of border under observation is very small, however, and the monitoring team minimally staffed.Also Tuesday, New York-based advocacy group Human Rights Watch said rebel forces have worsened the humanitarian crisis provoked by the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine by targeting medical workers.The group said in a statement that separatists had "threatened medical staff, stolen and destroyed medical equipment and hospital furniture, and compromised the ability of civilian patients to receive treatment."It also said insurgents have commandeered ambulances and used them to carry rebel fighters."Civilians are already bearing the brunt of the conflict in eastern Ukraine," HRW researcher Yulia Gorbunova said. "Interfering with the medical assistance they need is simply unconscionable."Fighting across eastern Ukraine has forced more than 285,000 people to flee their homes, according to U.N. figures released Tuesday.The U.N. refugee agency said more than 117,000 have left for other places inside Ukraine, while another 168,000 people have crossed into Russia.
Peter Leonard in Kiev contributed to this report.

175.44.58.155: Let's talk about the 'universal hot crazy' matrix

@@@
But I don t understand? I said to my authoritative male friend, with what I hoped was a simplistic coquettishness befitting of my gender.
Advertisement
That s because you re not hot, he told me, authoritatively, patting me on the shoulder with the edge of his fingertips.
True, I agreed, before cutting his head off, because I was still crazy.
So I watched McLendon s video again. Here are some of the lessons I learned:

1. All women are at least a little bit crazy
Over at the Woman Factory, units are programmed to be at least a 4 on the 1-10 scale of crazy. The real tragedy is that when we get sent to the shops for purchasing, there s no indicator of which personality <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON</a> we ve been programmed with. How do you know if you re getting a manageable 4 or even a 5 instead of one of those barking mad 7 or 8 models? You don t.
This is just one of the many examples of how society discriminates against men. Maybe even the worst example.

2. Men have strict standards
Women who fall between 0-5 on the hot measurement of the scale fall in the No Go Zone . According to the serial killer presenting the video, You do not hang around, date and marry women who are not at least, in our mind, a 5.
Because you have to put a value on yourself, fellas - and I think we can all agree that if you re the kind of person who makes sexist graphs for , then you deserve if not the very best, then at least 50% of it. It s an equality worth fighting for.

3. Holiday in the fun zone
On McLendon s incredibly scientific graph, women who fall somewhere between a 5 and an 8 on the hot scale are available for fun times provided they don t also broach the separating line over into the crazy red zone. Now, you ll notice that eights can get away with being slightly crazier than fives. This is just, like, the basic rules of feminism.
The problem is, you don t want to <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON solders</a> settle down with those mid rangers because what you actually want is to move towards something a little more permanent - preferably with a 9 or a 10. These are the kinds of women you ll introduce your friends and family to, sometimes even as your girlfriend and not just a homeless woman who lives outside your house. But here s the thing - if their craziness hovers somewhere between a 5 and a 7 - which is practically sane in woman terms - you might even want to make that crazy lady your wife.
So take your time and enjoy the fun zone, but don t spend all your quarters at the arcade.

4. Highway to the Danger Zone
There s a type of woman so crazy, so terrifying, that she needs to be avoided by men who keep pens in their top left pocket at all cost. That type of woman lives in the Danger Zone. Redheads, strippers, women named Tiffani - we re all super crazy. If you get mixed up with one of us, you re opening yourself up to all kinds of just like, drama and stuff. Cars being keyed, bunnies in pots, your tyres slashed...you might even wind up in jail.
You might be tempted, lord knows you ll be tempted. But is it worth it, just to see whether or not the rumours are true that firecrotches actually shoot flames from their nethers after coitus to permanently destroy their mate s junk? Besides, I only did that once and I missed anyway because women are lousy shots.

5. Dude looks like a lady!
Do you know what? In the parlance of internet speak, I can t even with this one. I just can t even. It was a f--king terrible exercise in misogynist humour in the first place, and then McLendon - who actually has a girl s name, by the way - rutted <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON pas cher</a> it into even lower depths of offensiveness with his reference to trannies and dudes dressed as women .
McLendon seems to think there s nothing funnier than the kind of really obnoxious transphobia which leads to trans women being murdered for tricking unsuspecting men into finding them attractive. That mocking the mental health of women - both cis and trans - is so deeply original and hilarious that he should have every right to stand there and talk about which kinds of women deserve to be respected and which don t while he has a fucking gun strapped to his belt, and then link it to so all the deeply disturbed men who frequent that message board can wax lyrical about how goddamn accurate the whole thing is.
But look, that s probably just my crazy talking. I am a redhead after all and it s a science fact that we re unhinged.
Women, hey?! Can t live with them. Can t always get away with shooting them.

@@@
Pat Flynn of Tacoma is known as the mother of Relay For Life, which means most people know Dr. Gordon Klatt as the father of the event.But Flynn says that doesn t do him justice. He was way more than that ... she said. There is only one founder in the world of Relay For Life, and that is Gordy Klatt. Gordy Klatt, she said, changed the face of the fight against cancer forever. The Tacoma surgeon died at age 71 Sunday, his family said, following a recent struggle with a heart condition.In 1985, Klatt single-handedly changed the way the American Cancer Society raises funds by combining his passion for running with his passion for fighting against cancer. Klatt ran more <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis vuitton Pas cher</a> than 83 miles around the track at University of Puget Sound for 24 hours and raised $27,000 in tribute to a young man who died of the disease.The next year, 220 people on 19 teams joined him, and a worldwide phenomenon was born. In 1994, it became the American Cancer Society s signature event. Today, the Relay For Life is held in 23 countries and has raised nearly $5 billion. He s not going to be forgotten because he s the guy who started the Relay, said Harvey Rosen, who knew Klatt for decades. It s not even a local legacy, it s a worldwide legacy. Every time there s a Relay, he s going to be remembered. Flynn remembers her first glimpse of that legacy. And it was literally a glimpse.The gates to the UPS track were locked when she went to try to watch Klatt that first year. She knew him because she was a patient at his medical practice, and she peeked through the bars twice during the 24 hours to make sure <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Sac Louis vuitton Pas cher</a> he was OK.It was while he was running on that track that he envisioned the team event, she said.A couple months later, he asked her to join the six-person committee to organize the first team event the next year. Neither of us ever dreamed that in 30 years it would raise $5 billion, Flynn said. He was always the vision, and I was the details person. Flying to put on a workshop for Relay in the early years, she said Klatt made some projection about how much they would raise in a certain number of years. I just looked at him and said: In your dreams, she remembered.Whatever it was, they far surpassed it.A Tacoma monument honoring Klatt and commemorating the start of Relay For Life is in the works. A committee headed by Rosen has raised nearly $115,000 to buy a sculpture honoring Klatt and a marker to tell the story of how the Relay came to be. The location has not yet been determined. Klatt himself was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March 2012. The guy was a battler right til the end, Rosen said. Whatever hospital he might have been in, the staff would ask him for his opinion because he knew more than some of these inexperienced <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis vuitton</a> doctors and nurses. Klatt was a surgeon in Tacoma for 40 years. He spent three years as an Army surgeon and then went back to school to become a colorectal specialist. Klatt continued to run the relay until he had knee surgery in 1995, according to his wife of 23 years, Lou Klatt. He was a very kind, good-hearted, giving person, she said. He really cared about his patients. They were number one. He loved marathons, dancing, and playing the accordion and the piano. Klatt learned to play the accordion when he was 5 and continued to play until the end, although he had trouble lifting the 40-pound instrument.He s survived by his wife; three children from a previous marriage, Julie Sullivan, Lisa Steudel and David Klatt; five grandchildren; sister Kathy and brother Don. My grandchildren will see a day when there is no cancer, Klatt once predicted. Sullivan remembers him as a fun dad who drove the high school carpool, loved music and liked travel and photography.David Klatt said he and his dad enjoyed Husky football and Seattle Supersonics games together as season ticket holders.The family had their own relay team in the early years of the event, they said.The American Cancer Society did not wish to comment Monday, saying they would release a statement at a more appropriate time.

@@@
And what s more, there s a fair chance that the eventual modest increase in US rates will be positive for the Australian economy and most who sail in her.
RBA's hopes
If all goes according to the Reserve Bank s hopes and prayers, firmer US interest rates will help weaken the Aussie, while our rates will stay where they are as the economy continues its transition.
That would be nice, as America s early view to possible rate increases is not the same as ours.
Last week there were more voices publicly added to the belief that the overall US unemployment rate isn t what counts as a potential inflation warning.
The sad reality of the US is a much more disparate society. There s effectively a developing country tucked away inside the richest and most profligate nation on earth. Parts of it aren t developing at all.
<a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sacoche LOUIS VUITTON Homme</a> The laissez-faire, low-wage, devil-take-the-hindmost society beloved by some of the local Billy Tea party comes at a cost.
Underemployment key
While the overall US unemployment rate sits at 6.2 per cent, it s not the size of the total pool of unemployed that determines whether wage pressure builds, but the size of the employable unemployed.
(The loss of skills and employability among the long-term unemployed is the main reason for hard-hearted economic rationalists to appreciate Australia s big GFC stimulus package the cost of the deficit has to be considered against the cost of a blowout in unemployment.)
I spent last week on an investment roadshow with funds manager Fidelity (yes, disclosure, they paid me to say a few words). One of the speakers was Fidelity s <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac LOUIS VUITTON Homme</a> Asian fixed interest investment director, Gregor Carle, who specified that it s the trend in the short-term unemployment rate in the US that Fidelity s fixed interest team watches for early signs of inflation coming back to life.
He had the graphs to demonstrate the history and noted that the trend is short-term unemployment is indeed positive for the unemployed and negative for those who might not want wages to rise.
Elsewhere there were reports of skills shortages building in key US industries, including construction. That s not happening here in these early days of our transition from reliance on resources construction projects. Another nice rise in employment in the July Australian labour force stats this Thursday won t be changing the RBA s mind about anything.
Indeed, rather than catching a dose of the Yellen yips about higher rates, local investors still have to digest what sort of productivity bonus the corporate sector is about to report and the speed of that transition.
Retail sales
are saying the jury is still out on the recovery of consumer confidence. Yes, the seasonally adjusted guess for June was a nice 0.6 per cent improvement after May s dive, but drawing a line through it with the trend series, there s not much happening retail sales growth of just 0.1 per cent for each of the past three months.
Winter finally arriving in July should help when last month s numbers are counted, but the quarter s poor dollar figure despite decent volume growth isn t inspiring.
Of course, it could be worse it could just be the sorry department store sector, continuing to fade away. You have to go <a href=http://www.Saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sacoche LOUIS VUITTON Homme pas cher</a> back to 2008 to find a June with lower original department store turnover.

There s Fava beans, Chinese cabbage, early green cabbage, green cabbage, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, another kind of kale, bok choy, some Napa cabbage, peppers, melons, tomatoes, tomatillos, eggplant. It goes on and on and on. But the crop that Schreiber figures will be more lucrative than any of them was completely unfamiliar to him a foreign world. Until a grower came to him wanting to know how to control mites on marijuana plants. That s when Schreiber realized he d better learn about the cannabis plant.He turned out to have a source of knowledge on his own staff.The 52-year-old Schreiber met 25-year-old Tom Balotte about a year ago and hired him as a mechanic. Balotte had worked on a Virginia Tech research farm before moving with his girlfriend to Washington state.He put his mechanical mind to work fixing and <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Chain Louise</a> designing equipment, like a shield he built to expand the space that could be used for research by keeping pesticide being sprayed on some plants away from others.The Romania-born, Texas-raised son of a botanist and a mechanical engineer, Balotte s tattoos tell part of his story. The design on his arm relates to shooting airsoft guns, the one on his fist to a favorite metal band, and the ink on his back and his other arm to the worlds of video games The Elder Scrolls and World of Warcraft. A three-monitor display at home immerses him in his games.Schreiber is a straitlaced Eastern Washington farmer. He grew up on a farm and earned doctoral degrees in entomology and pesticide toxicology, then worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and as a Washington State University professor before going into commercial research. He voted against Initiative 502 that legalized recreational marijuana.If they re something of an odd couple, it turned out they were well suited for collaboration on the new project Schreiber had in mind. I ve got the pest management experience, Schreiber said, and he s got the kind of applied, real-world, make-things-grow skills. The full realization came months after Balotte was hired, during a conversation over beers at a 30th-floor Portland restaurant at the end of a long day at an agricultural conference. It turned out Balotte s past tinkering included growing marijuana in a closet.They started to realize Balotte s experience could be a perfect match for Schreiber s hopes of doing cutting-edge research <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Citadine</a> and development on the plant and its pests. He was made for a project like this, Schreiber said.Balotte isn t a pot smoker, although he travels in the right circles. I wish I could, but I was just too sensitive to it, Balotte said. My friends, it looks like they re having the most fun in the world, and I m sitting there with my beer in my hand just sitting there with envy, because it looks awesome. Now Schreiber has applied for <a href=http://www.louisvuitton-pascher.com>Louis Vuitton Delightful</a> a license. His is one of more than 2,400 applications still waiting after the state Liquor Control Board has approved fewer than 140 growers.Meantime, Balotte has designed a prototype of a hydroponic growing contraption. If you want to try some advanced growing techniques you have to involve some engineering, some design, and that s really what I like, Balotte said.The prototype involves PVC tubes dotted with holes like giant flutes, each hole a spot for a plant to stick out of while its roots are bathed in nutrients. The thing is gathering dust in a greenhouse while they wait for a license.If approved, they expect they can pioneer new ways of not only growing the plant, but keeping it from being destroyed by pests and contaminants.Schreiber expects a huge demand for information among the licensed growers. The first time that somebody has $100,000 worth of this that they lose because they get an aphid infestation, a mite infestation, powder mildew or Botrytis (a fungus), he said, ... people will want to know how to control these pests. &nbsp;

175.44.58.155: Sprint, Other US Carriers Building Mobile Internet Fast Lanes Through Subsidized Apps And Content

@@@
While the U.S. Federal Communications Commission is still rewriting rules, wireless carriers have quietly built defacto mobile Internet fast lanes. 鈥淯nlimited鈥?features have been introduced by mobile providers <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-cabas-bags-38>Celine Cabas Bags</a> in recent months through a practice known as "zero rating" or "sponsored data," which offers the ability to use select apps and services without counting against metered data plans.
Sprint Corp. (NYSE:S) is the latest to provide such services through the introduction of a Virgin Mobile that allows users to connect only to Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), Twitter (NYSE:TWTR), Instagram or Pinterest. But for an additional fee, users will also be able to connect to all four apps and a select streaming music service such as Pandora (NYSE:P). While Sprint is the latest carrier to offer such a plan, it is by no means the first in the United States.
T-Mobile Inc. (NYSE:TMUS) introduced a similar benefit called in June, which allows subscribers to listen to as much music as they want from popular streaming services, which the carrier picks from partnerships or user requests. AT T Inc. (NYSE:T) launched its own initiative in January called , which allows its mobile users to stream select videos, browse websites and use certain apps without counting against a user鈥檚 data package. Canada鈥檚 also offers a package that provides unmetered data usage of its television streaming service without impacting a user鈥檚 data limit.
Yet, even before North American wireless carriers began offering such services, content providers and social networks were already experimenting with the practice in Europe and emerging markets. Twitter quietly forged partnerships in <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-celine-wallets-39>Celine Wallets</a> 2012 through Twitter Access, a program that provides subsidized access to the microblogging site in countries with expensive mobile data costs, 聽reported. Twitter鈥檚 currently lists Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD) and Philippines鈥?Smart Communications among its partners.
Facebook also experimented with a similar program called in 2010, which provided a free stripped down Facebook experience to select mobile carrier users.
On the surface, it would seem this would be beneficial for mobile subscribers as it allows them to consume more content without the worries of exceeding data limits or incurring overage charges. But their introduction to the mobile marketplace draws concerns over the potential side effect of creating a tiered mobile Internet where the apps and content provided through these partnerships effectively breeze through in unlimited fast lanes while nonsponsored data content is relegated to users鈥?limited monthly bandwidth.
Pal <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-clasp-bags-40>Celine Clasp Bags</a> Zarandy, senior partner at , a Helsinki consulting firm specializing in mobile Internet policies, criticized the practice, especially in countries where the per gigabyte cost is expensive.
鈥淣ot counting data of specific services like mobile video and cloud storage/computing becomes discriminatory and harmful when the consumption of 鈥榞eneric鈥?Internet gigabytes is overpriced or conversely the volume caps for generic Internet access is overly restrictive,鈥?Zarandy told International Business Times via email.
As for why consumers haven鈥檛 noticed this growing trend with U.S. wireless carriers, Zarandy speculated U.S. carriers are testing the waters with less data-intensive apps and content.
鈥淚n Europe the biggest telcos started zero-rating video and cloud storage services, in the U.S. this is not really happening yet,鈥?Zarandy said. 鈥淢aybe <carriers> are testing the waters <public>and regulatory reception] first with less volume-heavy services <that>is: the less strikingly discriminatory ones].鈥?
Carriers such as Verizon (NYSE:VZ) Wireless have also caught the attention of the FCC regarding mobile data after it announced plans to聽, or slow down, data of its unlimited 4G LTE subscribers.
Until the FCC finalizes its proposed net neutrality rules, it鈥檚 unknown whether such practices will continue to be permitted in the future.

Jenise Wright
The Associated Press
BREMERTON, Wash. 鈥?The parents of a 6-year-old girl who disappeared from her Washington home and wasn鈥檛 reported missing for a day agreed to take lie detector tests and allow a search of the home, a sheriff鈥檚 spokesman said.
Kitsap County Deputy Scott Wilson said Monday he doubted he would be able to discuss results.
State child welfare workers removed two other children, an 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl, from the home earlier Monday.
About 80 searchers including dog teams looked Monday for little Jenise Wright, who was last seen Saturday night when she went to bed. She remained missing Tuesday morning. Her family noticed her missing Sunday morning but didn鈥檛 become worried and call for <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac Louis Vuitton Brea</a> help until that night because she had left the home on previous occasions and wandered around the neighborhood.
The family felt it was relatively safe because it鈥檚 a fenced property, Wilson said.
A decision on whether to continue the ground search Tuesday was pending, the spokesman said.
The little girl鈥檚 disappearance was being called a missing person case with 鈥渟uspicious circumstances,鈥?Wilson said. Most missing children would have surfaced by now, he said.
Investigators, who now include the FBI and detectives from nearby police agencies and the Washington State Patrol, are 鈥渓ooking <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac Louis Vuitton Chain Louise</a> at the entire spectrum of possibilities: has the child sustained an accident? Has the child been abducted? Has the child come to harm?鈥?Wilson said.
The FBI has resources 鈥渢hat we can only dream about 鈥?investigative tools, personnel that specialize in child abduction,鈥?Wilson said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e not calling it an abduction, but why not get those resources early on, examine all the possibilities.鈥?
Two parents live in the home in a blended family. The 8-year-old and 12-year-old were the only other children in the home last weekend. A 16-year-old boy was out of town. Two others at the home are adults.
The search began at about 1:30 a.m. Monday with deputies and volunteers in and around the Steele Creek Mobile Home Park. They cleared the park and searched later in the surrounding neighborhood and wooded area, Wilson said.
鈥淪he鈥檚 really independent, she鈥檚 tenacious,鈥?the little girl鈥檚 father, James Wright, told KOMO-TV, describing the neighborhood as safe and saying his daughter roamed the park.
Other residents in the park described Jenise as outgoing and unafraid to talk to anyone.
Bremerton is on <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com>Sac Louis Vuitton Citadine</a> the west side of Puget Sound, across from Seattle.
Jenise is 3 feet tall, weighs 45 pounds and has black hair. She鈥檒l be a first-grader this school year. She shared a bedroom with her sister.

The standoff started at a home on the 400 block of Kaiser Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Weld County deputies told CBS4 their fugitive unit had been looking for a kidnapping suspect, Shawn Kilker, who may have abducted his estranged wife last month.
(credit: CBS)
Deputies learned Monday that Kilker may have been home. When officers located the suspect s home, they surrounded it and the suspect and a juvenile refused to leave. Officers coaxed a female and two males, who were inside, away from the scene safely.
Negotiators spoke with the pair for several hours, but at 1:30 a.m., when they stopped responding, deputies discovered two bodies in the home s living room.
It s unclear how they died.
The juvenile, who was believed to be 14, reportedly told deputies they were not <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Louis Vuitton</a> being held against their will. It s not clear what the relationship the boy had with the adult.
In any community this isn t something you want to deal with, sheriff s office spokesman Steve Reams聽said. We re trying to get to the bottom of all the twists and turns that took place prior to our knowing about it.
On Sunday, sheriff s deputies entered the home but didn鈥檛 find the suspect and instead seized some items. They said Kilker s estranged wife called on July 30 to say he had kidnapped her. She escaped unharmed.
Crime tape surrounded the <a href=http://www.louisvuittontassenkopen.com>Geodkoop Louis Vuitton</a> home on Tuesday at daybreak and officials wearing protective gear could be seen entering and leaving the home.
The King of the Jungle may be roaming the streets of a Los Angeles-area town, putting some residents on edge and sending area media into a frenzy.
That鈥檚 right鈥攁 lion is thought to be on the loose after grainy security video captured <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-cabas-bags-38>Celine Cabas Bags</a> the beast prowling through a neighborhood of Norwalk last Tuesday,
California Department of Fish and Wildlife experts studied the footage, , and definitively concluded the feline was no cougar or bobcat, but most likely rather a panthera leo, or African lion.
The executive director of聽Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary in Southern California, which <a href=http://www.buycelinebags.com/celine-celine-wallets-39>Celine Wallets</a> houses a lion, he at first thought the animal was a dog, but after closer inspection, said it could be a leopard.
, the jury is still out on what kind of beast may be stalking the urban SoCal jungle. They鈥檙e sticking with calling the animal a mountain lion, likely until more evidence comes in.
The security video was posted on the Friday and already has commenters in a fierce debate.

175.44.58.155: Smaller Canberra Stadium after Raiders, Brumbies drop in crowds

@@@
Declining crowds for Canberra's two premier sporting teams have forced the ACT government to scale back its plans for an undercover stadium in Civic to ensure the Raiders and Brumbies can afford to use the venue.
The <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com/lv-cosmic-blossom-63>LV Cosmic Blossom</a> Raiders' crowd statistics have dropped to an alarming low as the club goes through ones of its toughest periods and the Green Machine is on track for the lowest average attendance since moving to Canberra Stadium in 1990.
ACT&nbsp;Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr&nbsp;said on Tuesday the government had decided to reduce temporary seating from 45,000 to 30,000&nbsp;to accommodate the Brumbies and Raiders as the two major tenants.
Cutting back seating would reduce significantly the $250 million price tag. There were also initial plans for the southern end of the stadium to be left open and clear of seating to offer views over Lake Burley Griffin and the Parliamentary Triangle.
Just 7094 fans watched the Raiders disaster against the New Zealand Warriors last weekend while the Brumbies only managed to attract 14,284 to their qualifier&nbsp;final against the Waikato Chiefs&nbsp;last month.
Mr Barr said the revamped plans likely would be 20,000 permanent seats&nbsp;and the ability to increase to 30,000 for big events, including rugby league and rugby union Tests.
I'm ruling out anything over 30,000, that's far too big, Mr Barr said. :That brings down the cost significantly ... there has not been a sporting event in Canberra for more than a decade that's attracted 30,000 people. I would like us to have the problem that we sell out every match rather than have vacant seats for 30 years.
On-field performance is a factor, but we have to get the business model right <for>the Brumbies and Raiders]. There's no point building something that they can't <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com/lv-mahina-cuir-65>LV Mahina cuir</a> afford to play at, or that sends them broke.
The Raiders were in danger of finishing last on the NRL ladder for just the second time in the club's history.
They had won just five games this season and their crowd average had dropped to 9221&nbsp;a game, the lowest since 2004.
The Brumbies made the Super Rugby finals, but even a grand-final rematch against the Chiefs couldn't spark enough interest to get more than 20,000 fans at Canberra Stadium.
When the new stadium was built, Canberra sports fans would be offered the chance to buy a dual membership to the stadium and Manuka Oval, which would give them access to rugby league, rugby union, soccer, cricket and AFL action.
Mr Barr said the plan remained to have the stadium built by 2020,&nbsp;and construction to start in 2018. The government was considering a PPP financial model where a private company would take on the financial risk and there would be no public investment until the venue was built.
There was no timeline on when a design had to be finalised, but Mr Barr already had interest from international companies keen to take on the project.
Brumbies chief executive Doug Edwards said: I think 30,000 <permanent>capacity] is too high, the number we have always talked about is 24,000. But whether the economics stacks up for that, I'm not sure.
With an enclosed stadium, I'm sure attendance would lift. You just can't keep putting Band <a href=http://www.saclouisvuittonhomme.com/lv-toile-monogram-67>LV Toile Monogram</a> Aids on Canberra Stadium.
Canberra Stadium was nearing the end of its lifespan and the venue would only have temporary repairs while the design of a new rectangular venue with a clear roof was finalised.
Officials were investigating plans to increase seating capacity in the future to ensure the capital did not miss out on hosting marquee events because of its small size.
One option was to have no seats at the southern end to allow views of the lake.
We'll look at a membership for the new stadium and Manuka Oval and that's a way of generating some upfront capital, Mr Barr said. We could look at an orientation which allowed views of the Parliamentary Triangle, and design options with flexibility.
