DENVER (CBS4) CBS4 has learned that a 26-year-old <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Louboutin-Bibi>Louboutin Bibi</a> Denver transient has been jailed for investigation of attempted murder after he attacked a female Denver police officer, attempted to wrestle away her gun, and later said he 鈥渨ould have killed her鈥?if he had obtained her weapon.
Stephen K. Hamper is being held in the Denver city jail for one count of investigation of attempted murder.
According to police sources, Officer Aubree Thompson was sent to contact Hamper Saturday after he was seen washing his clothes near Interstate 25 and South Downing Street. When Hamper failed to respond to the officer鈥檚 <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Louboutin-Buy-Online>Louboutin Buy Online</a> questions she attempted to handcuff him, and according to a written report, 鈥淗e attacked the officer.鈥?
The report states that Hamper, who is listed as 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, attempted to get Thompson鈥檚 gun, but she was able to keep it from him.

@@@
The are stacked with skill position players, but there are major concerns in the trenches, as offensive lineman is expected to miss a significant amount of time.&nbsp;
According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, Barbre is expected to have season-ending surgery on his ankle:
G/T Allen Barbre (high ankle) is expected to have surgery which <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/wdluk.php>Louboutin Shoes Outilet</a> could end his season, a league source said. Adam Caplan (@caplannfl)
The Eagles added:
place G/T Barbre (ankle) and LB Goode (torn pec muscle) on IR, G Mathis (medial collateral ligament) on IR - Designated For Return. Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles)
Caplan also noted a couple players who are now expected to visit the Eagles following Barbre's injury:
Veterans RT Eric Winston and G Wade Smith are expected to visit the today, league sources said. Adam Caplan (@caplannfl)
Barbre, who was serving as the Eagles' temporary starter at right tackle with Lane Johnson serving a , was injured during Sunday's 34-17 win over the .
Per Zach Berman of&nbsp; The Philadelphia Inquirer, Barbre was listed as questionable in terms of returning to the game:
Allen Barbre is questionable to return with a right ankle. Evan Mathis is out for game with a left knee injury. Zach Berman (@ZBerm)
The 30-year-old veteran never did come back, but he may not see the field again <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php> cheap gucci</a> for the remainder of the 2014 season.
It was initially reported by Jeff McLane of&nbsp; The Philadelphia Inquirer&nbsp;on Tuesday that Barbre would first see a foot specialist before making a decision:
Allen Barbre has high ankle sprain. Still has to see foot specialist, per source. Could be out for a while. Mathis had MRI. Awaiting results Jeff McLane (@Jeff_McLane)
Although no formal announcement has been made, Barbre's prospects don't look particularly promising as of right now.
With explosive players like LeSean McCoy, , , and Zach Ertz in Philly's offense, it is easy to forget about the importance of the offensive line. Quarterback struggled for long stretches of the Eagles' Week 1 game, and a big part of that was Jacksonville's ability to pressure him.
The Jaguars sacked Foles five times on Sunday, and the protection probably won't get much better until Johnson returns to the fold.
Philadelphia has enough talent on offense to overcome offensive line issues, but it obviously makes things far more difficult.
Head coach Chip Kelly's offensive acumen will truly be put to the test, as he'll have to devise ways to get the ball out quickly and cover up the team's issues up <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/guccioutlet.onlinesalecc.php>Gucci Outlet</a> front.
He is certainly capable of doing that, though at least until reinforcements arrive in a few weeks.

222.77.229.212: Attorney general monitoring Baylor

@@@
Assistant Attorney General Amanda K. Hudson informed the parties in the ongoing dispute that the attorney general 鈥渋s a proper party to such action and may intervene on the behalf of the public鈥檚 interest in <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Hunter-Wellingtons>Jimmy Choo Hunter Wellingtons</a> charity.鈥?
She said she is reviewing documents to determine if the attorney general鈥檚 participation is warranted.
Baylor sued the BAA in June in the latest salvo between the two sides. The BAA has pledged to file a countersuit, but as of Monday, its attorney said it had not yet been served with Baylor鈥檚 suit, filed in early June in Waco鈥檚 74th State District Court.
鈥淩ight now, everyone is taking a deep breath and trying to figure out where things go from here,鈥?said J.D. Pauerstein, the San Antonio attorney who represents the BAA.
Lauren Bean, deputy communications director for the attorney general鈥檚 office, said that under the Texas Property Code, the AG鈥檚 office must be given notice of all 鈥減roceedings involving a charitable trust.鈥?
鈥淎t this time, the attorney general鈥檚 office is strictly monitoring this case and currently has no plans to get involved in this litigation,鈥?she said.
Baylor, saying it has severed licensing agreements with the BAA, is seeking to prevent the group from using the university鈥檚 name.
The BAA has countered that those agreements, which also allowed the BAA to operate as Baylor鈥檚 official alumni organization, are in effect in perpetuity and cannot be terminated.
Baylor spokeswoman Lori Fogleman referred questions about the attorney general鈥檚 possible involvement in the lawsuit to a section of Baylor鈥檚 petition that says litigants must notify the attorney general鈥檚 office in cases involving charitable trusts.
A transition agreement drafted by Baylor regents and a group <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=True-Religion-Jeans-Becky>Mens True Religion Jeans</a> of elected BAA leaders and members of the board, which would have dissolved the organizations鈥?charter, failed to gain enough votes from alumni association members to pass. Those leaders and several other association board members resigned after the vote failed.
鈥淲e have tried for several years now to reach an agreement with the university that enables us to preserve our name, the title of our magazine, the Baylor Line, and keeps our commitment to thousands of Baylor alumni,鈥?BAA President Keith Starr said when the lawsuit was filed.
鈥淗owever, the university has rejected our attempts at peace for over a decade and has chosen to continue its efforts to marginalize the BAA, up to and including suing its officially recognized alumni organization,鈥?he said.
Starr, no relation to Baylor <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Home>Tory Burch Home</a> President Ken Starr, deferred comment Monday to Pauerstein.
Pauerstein said Monday that litigants involved in cases involving charitable trusts are required by law to notify the attorney general鈥檚 office.
鈥淗istorically, when I have been involved in cases where the attorney general鈥檚 office has been notified, they only intervene if it is perceived the particular charity is one that involves a lot of public interests. They may choose to intervene, but since it is a Baylor-oriented entity, I tend to think not,鈥?Pauerstein said.
Baylor alleges in the lawsuit that the BAA has 鈥渁bandoned its charitable purposes鈥?as outlined in the association鈥檚 bylaws, including raising money for student scholarships.
The suit highlights a $1 million scholarship pledge from the BAA in February 2013 that was not completed.
The BAA, however, says it was not completed because of the dispute surrounding the transition agreement. Keith Starr said after the lawsuit was filed that the BAA has not abandoned its charitable purpose, but it has been impeded by Baylor.

222.77.229.212: Is economic stagnation the new normal- - News

@@@
The concept of 鈥渟ecular stagnation鈥?鈥?that the economy may be facing a protracted period of low growth and high unemployment 鈥?has been seeping back into economic and policy discourse. Once relegated to the margins of heterodox economic theory, the idea of stagnation as a likely ongoing direction for the economy, in fact, is now virtually mainstream, expounded by such well-known figures as Lawrence Summers and Paul Krugman.Stagnation, however, is not a new problem. Careful examination of the U.S. economy over the last century suggests <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors handbags</a> that stagnation may not be the exception but just possibly the rule of modern economic performance 鈥?a rule that was mainly broken only by the stimulus effects of massive military expenditures at three crucial junctures.Major economic floundering in the first quarter of the 20th century was relieved by the boost World War I gave to the economy, and the tremendous economic collapse in the second quarter was ended by World War II鈥檚 huge increase in military spending. In the third quarter, the Korean War, the Cold War and the Vietnam War added major stimulus at key times. Moreover, several of the indirect consequences of World War II 鈥?including wartime savings, the compression of wages, the strengthening of unions, the GI Bill that educated millions of veterans, and the reconstruction of Europe, together with the fact that major competitors had been temporarily destroyed by war 鈥?all contributed to the third quarter鈥檚 great economic boom. The modern trend, despite Iraq, Afghanistan and other smaller-scale wars, is also clear. Defense expenditures declined decade by decade from a Korean War high of 13.8 percent of the economy in 1953 to 3.7聽percent in the 2000s, with steadily reduced economic impact. The financial bubbles in the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s produced only partial and highly unstable upswings that masked the underlying decline. The notion that stagnation is far more important than is commonly understood has been bolstered by Thomas Piketty鈥檚 landmark book 鈥淐apital in the Twenty-First Century,鈥?which also emphasizes just how unusual the era of the Depression and two world wars was. Piketty鈥檚 analysis suggests that the high growth rates of the post-World War II period were, by and large, an aberration. 鈥淢any people think that growth ought to be at least 3 or 4 percent a year,鈥?he wrote. 鈥淏oth history and logic show this to be <a href=http://www.symbiose.ca/images/christianlouboutin.gwij.php>Christian Louboutin Sale</a> illusory.鈥漋iewed in this light, the latest long-range projections from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Paris-based intergovernmental group for advanced economies, make for sobering reading. In a new report, 鈥淧olicy Challenges for the Next 50 Years,鈥?the OECD warns that economic growth in the world鈥檚 advanced industrial economies 鈥?including Europe, North America and Japan 鈥?will likely slow even further from historic levels over the next half-century, while inequality will rocket to new heights and climate change will take an increasingly damaging toll on world GDP.According to the projections, the OECD member nations鈥?annual average contribution to global GDP growth will steadily fall from 1.19 percent this decade to 0.54 percent between 2050 and 2060. Meanwhile, inequality in these countries may rise as much as 30 percent or more. The OECD projections are, if anything, optimistic, since they assume that Europe and the United States each will absorb <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php> Christian Louboutin Outlet Online</a> in the neighborhood of 50 million new immigrants over this period 鈥?an assumption that may run contrary to the restrictive politics of immigration playing out on both sides of the Atlantic. The economic remedy for stagnation is relatively straightforward 鈥?in theory: Faltering demand could be offset by large-scale government spending on infrastructure, education and other much-needed investments. In practice, however, it is painfully clear that large-scale Keynesian policies of this kind are no longer politically viable. The implications of the emerging possibility of a sustained period of stagnation are profound. Through the repeated economic downturns of recent U.S. history 鈥?11 since 1945 alone 鈥?the expectation of eventual sustained recovery has been the critical assumption underpinning both politics and policy. An era of stagnation would undermine the economic basis of traditional political hope of both left and right. It would mean ongoing high unemployment, ongoing deficits, ongoing struggles to fund public programs and, in all probability, ongoing and intensified political deadlock and wrangling as unemployment continues, deficits increase and a profound battle over narrowing economic possibilities sets in.If stagnation is the new normal, we will likely be forced to reassess the fundamental assumptions of politics and the economy and to ultimately get serious about restructuring our faltering economic system in more far-reaching ways than most Americans have contemplated.Gar Alperovitz is the author of 鈥淲hat Then Must We Do? Straight Talk About the Next American Revolution鈥?and co-founder of the Democracy Collaborative. He wrote this for the Los Angeles Times.Copyright Los Angeles Times

Amazon on Monday of its recently released down to just $0.99. It s a familiar narrative that likely indicates what we ve been hearing all along Amazon has had a hard time selling their inaugural handset.
The online retail giant announced its first smartphone in mid-June. The 4.7-inch handset came packed with mid-range hardware but it was the 3D element that most were excited about. <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Baby-Bag-Sale>Kate Spade Baby Bag Sale</a> By implementing multiple front-facing cameras, the Fire Phone is able to create what Amazon calls dynamic perspective where on-screen objects take on a 3D effect.
To be specific, Amazon dropped the price of the handset down to just $0.99 with a two-year contract. Those interested in purchasing the phone without a commitment will also enjoy a discount. The 32GB model has been slashed to $449 from $649 while the $749 64GB unit can now be had <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=True-Religion-Sweat-Suits>True Religion Sweat Suits</a> for $549.
Last month, The Guardian published a story in which they estimated that Amazon had sold around since launch. To put those numbers in perspective, Apple sold more than during its most recent launch weekend while Samsung reportedly moved of its Galaxy S5 earlier this year.
As we ve seen before, it s rarely a good sign when we see such a big price drop so soon after launch. One recent example is the , otherwise known as the HTC First. AT T dropped the price to $0.99 with a contract shortly after <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Readers>Kate Spade Readers</a> launch but it was already .&nbsp;

This, according to FOX6 s sister station FOX8 in Cleveland.
The 15-year-old Ohio boy thought he was doing the popular Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS, but his parents say other <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=True-Religion-Joey-Super-T-Mens>True Religion Joey Super T Mens</a> teens put human waste and cigarette butts inside the bucket instead.
***WARNING: The video you ll see below is disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised.***
Police have now begun a criminal investigation.
This, as Drew Cary and now Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Walberg have pledged $10,000 each in reward <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Slides>Tory Burch Slides</a> money to catch those responsible. FOX8 talked with a criminal defense attorney and law professor not associated with this case, who said charges against those responsible for this incident could range from misdemeanor assault to disorderly conduct.
The criminal defense attorney says it s not likely this case will qualify as a hate crime, since Ohio law includes hate crimes based on race, religion, or national origin, not disability.

The Golden State Warriors have been active in pursuing free agents this offseason, acquiring Brandon Rush and Shaun Livingston to add major pieces to their bench. The Warriors trend continued this week when they signed聽free agents Aaron Craft, James Michael McAdoo, and Mitchell Watt, all of whom played for the Warriors Vegas Summer League team. A recent report also revealed that the Warriors have agreed to a deal <a href=http://www.fwpcoa.org/icon/Cheap-True-Religion-Jeans-Outlet-Canada-Jeans-Toronto-Jeans-Edmonton.html>True Religion Jeans Toronto</a> with free agent Leandro Barbosa, a former Sixth Man of the Year. Here s a look at what each of them can bring to the team:
Aaron Craft
聽Craft went undrafted in this year s draft, but demonstrated a high level of maturity and defensive acumen during his four years as point guard at Ohio State. As a member of the Warriors Summer League team, Craft was praised by the coaching staff for many of his intangibles, including his attitude. While Craft has yet to develop an outside shot and struggles offensively, he s an excellent defensive point guard and could make for an interesting option off the bench for the Warriors.
James Michael McAdoo
聽McAdoo, like Craft, went undrafted this year after playing three years at UNC. During this year s Vegas Summer League, McAdoo averaged nine points, five rebounds, and a block per game. In McAdoo, the Warriors will have an athletic forward who s lightning quick and thrives in transition. <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/news/Mens-Gucci-Belt-Factory-Outlet-Wholesale-Mens-Sneakers.html>Mens Gucci Sneakers</a> McAdoo will need to improve his mid-range game, however, if he hopes to be a real threat in the NBA and earn some playing time from聽the Warriors current聽forwards.
Mitchell Watt
Unlike McAdoo and Craft, Watt has professional basketball experience, having spent the last two years playing in Isreal after going undrafted in 2012. At 6-foot-9, Watt can play minutes at forward positions, as well as the occasional <a href=http://www.assocostieribiodiesel.com/public/Wholesale-True-Religion-Jeans-Keira-Shorts-Hoody-Kids-Jeans-Sale.html>Kids True Religion Jeans Sale</a> stint at center. He s fairly versatile offensively, with a decent shooting touch and the ability to score with his back to the basket. However, Watt was a late bloomer and played against relatively weak competition during college. The Warriors veteran coaching staff should help him in his adjustment to the NBA.
Leandro Barbosa
A former Sixth Man of the Year on the Nash-led Phoenix聽Suns, Barbosa is a proven commodity in the NBA. He s a career 39 percent three-point shooter and will add depth to the Warriors at the guard positions. Because聽Barbosa split his time between Brazil and the NBA last season, he was used sparingly on the Suns.聽

&nbsp;
&nbsp;
&nbsp;
&nbsp;
&nbsp;
&nbsp;
&nbsp;

222.77.229.212: Atlanta Hawks discipline GM Danny Ferry for racist comments

@@@
Ferry made the inflammatory comments about Deng in a conference call with the Hawks ownership group in June when the team pursued Deng as a free agent.
Deng, who now plays for the Miami Heat, responded saying, I m proud to say I actually have a lot of African in me, not just a little.
A letter from co-owner Michael Gearon Jr. recommends that Ferry resign or be fired. Gearon said Ferry made that description of Deng to the team s ownership group.
His June 12 letter to co-owner Bruce Levenson said Ferry went on to say, Not in a bad way, but he s like a guy who would have a nice store out <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion sale</a> front and sell you counterfeit stuff out of the back.
Added Gearon: Ferry completed the racial slur by describing the player (and impliedly all persons of African descent) as a two-faced liar and cheat.
Deng, 29, was born in what is now South Sudan. His father moved his family to Egypt and then England. The 10-year NBA veteran is now a British citizen, played for England in the 2012 Olympics and said he s proud to represent his heritage on the highest stage.
Deng, like Ferry, also played at Duke.
Every person should have the right to be treated with respect and evaluated as an individual, rather than be reduced to a stereotype, Deng said. I am saddened and disappointed that this way of thinking still exists today. I am even more disturbed that it was shared so freely in a business setting.
Koonin said Atlanta law firm Alston and Bird went through 24,000 documents, conducted 19 interviews and read every email Danny Ferry has ever sent as general manager of the Atlanta Hawks. Koonin said no other negative information on Ferry was found in the probe.
I took their advice and far exceeded their advice, Koonin said of the undisclosed punishment he imposed on Ferry.
Hawks spokesman Garin Narain said the investigation of Ferry s comments uncovered a racially inflammatory email written two years ago by Levenson. That discovery led to Levenson s announcement Sunday that he will sell his controlling share of the team.
Despite Gearon s desire to remove Ferry, Koonin is standing by him.
I understand that emotion, Koonin said of Gearon s recommendation. I certainly understand that emotion. I know people who have said that to me. But if we sentence people based on what everybody wanted, we wouldn t have a justice system.
I listened to what (the law firm) said because they had done the work so that s a decision I m willing to live with.
Gearon warned Levenson he believed Ferry s <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/anel.php> Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale</a> comments could be fatal to the franchise if made public.
Gearon said he and the other co-owners were appalled that anyone would make such a racist slur under any circumstance, much less the GM of an NBA franchise on a major conference call.
Gearon declined to comment when contacted by The Associated Press on Tuesday. Ferry apologized Tuesday but said he was only repeating what he had heard about Deng.
In regards to the insensitive remarks that were used during our due diligence process, I was repeating comments that were gathered from numerous sources during background conversations and scouting about different players, Ferry said in a statement released by the team.
I repeated those comments during a telephone conversation reviewing the draft and free agency process. Those words do not reflect my views, or words that I would use to describe an individual and I certainly regret it. I apologize to those I offended and to Luol, who I reached out to Monday morning.
Koonin has agreed to meet with Atlanta civil rights leaders on Wednesday. The Rev. Markel Hutchins said Monday he asked for the meeting to discuss what he believes is a racist attitude throughout the organization.
In his letter to Levenson, Gearon compared Ferry s remarks to much-publicized racist comments which forced Donald Sterling to sell the Clippers.
We believe these comments by Ferry were far worse than Sterling s because they were not from a private personal conversation 鈥?they were in a business environment on a business matter in front of a dozen or more people, Gearon wrote. If Ferry would make such a slur in a semi-public forum, we can only imagine what he has said in smaller groups or to individuals.
Ferry was named the Hawks general manager in 2012 following two years as vice president of basketball operations for the San Antonio Spurs. He was general manager for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2005-2010 and helped build the team that advanced to the 2007 NBA Finals.
There was renewed optimism about the direction of the team after Ferry hired coach Mike Budenholzer from San Antonio in 2013.
Now, the turmoil threatens to derail all their efforts.
New ownership must be found and despite the support of Koonin, Ferry s ability to survive the crisis is unknown.
In his letter of apology, Ferry pledged he would learn from the incident.
I am committed to learning from this and deeply regret this situation, <a href=http://www.symbiose.ca/images/christianlouboutin.gwij.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> Ferry said. I fully understand we have work to do in order to help us create a better organization; one that our players and fans will be proud of, on and off the court, and that is where my focus is moving forward.

Since it has to do with an environmental hazard I'm concerned there could be legal ramifications to the district, she said.Schilder confirmed that the police had not been notified and that the school district's top priority was to remove the material. We chose the best of three quotes, financially, he said. You want that open-ended piece because you want them to do it right. The initial cost to East Penn School is $18,500. The contract states that any volume in excess of six 15-yard containers <a href=http://www.zoongu.com>Gucci Sale Uk</a> of asbestos waste material will be billed at a rate of $1,600 yards per container and that any fill material brought into the site in excess of six tri-axle loads would be billed at a rate of $320 per tri-axle.Schilder, who stepped in as superintendent this summer, said he was made aware of the situation less than a month ago. EDITOR鈥橲 NOTE: The city鈥檚 animal shelter seeks $2 million in funding for renovation as well as a new adoption center to increase the number of animals that find homes. During a recent kindergarten substitute teaching assignment, I discovered that 5-year-old children had no nap time allocated for their seven-hour aggressive and active school day.

Though senior safety Ryan Keiser called the team's reaction pure excitement and just joy, he repeatedly said players were thankful and appreciative. Center Angelo Mangiro said the offensive line was watching film of Rutgers 10 minutes after the meeting. And Franklin made an important distinction regarding bowl games. It's amazing how many people texted me and emailed me last night and said, 'How awesome that you're bowl-eligible,' Franklin said. We're not bowl-eligible. We have an opportunity to go to a bowl game. We need to make sure that we can take care of our business this week, which is Rutgers. Still, Franklin acknowledged the decision's importance to the program. For the past two years, players said they competed primarily for the fans, the university and each other. But, because of the scholarship limits, Penn State was forced to play with caveats. The team limited <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/state/True-Religion-Jeans-On-Sale-Factory-Outlet-Sweat-Suit-Wholesale.html>True Religion Factory Outlet</a> hitting in practice, sought more walk-ons and exhausted itself to build creative depth charts.According to the initial 2012 sanctions, this season was supposed to be the first of four in which Penn State would field 65 scholarship players. The NCAA restored some of those scholarships last year. Now, Penn State will return to full scholarship strength three seasons before initially scheduled. Now there's nothing being held back from them, in terms of opportunities, Franklin said. They have the ability to chase their dreams now. Both Hull and Franklin said that Penn State owed plenty to former coach Bill O'Brien, now with the Houston Texans. Matt Millen, a former Penn State player who is tight with O'Brien, said that the coach spent his two seasons at Penn State doing everything in his power to get the sanctions reduced. I actually texted Billy last night thanking him for all that he's done the last couple years, because I think he's had a huge role in what's happened here, Franklin said.Hull praised three of his head coaches (Franklin, O'Brien and 2011 interim coach Tom Bradley) for helping the team navigate the last three years. It wasn't easy for any of the guys to take over in the position we were in, Hull said. They all did their part, and we owe them <a href=http://www.wa7788.com>Louboutin UK</a> a lot. On Monday night, thousands of students and Penn State fans visited Beaver Stadium, where they sang the national anthem and cheered for Joe Paterno, and downtown State College, where they celebrated in the area known as Beaver canyon.Penn State and State College police reported no significant incidents. Franklin said that was OK, so long as no one got hurt and nothing was damaged. I think <Monday> night was an opportunity for maybe that pride to explode and that excitement to explode, because again I think it's part of the feeling <at>Penn State], Franklin said. It's part of us moving forward. Franklin said the prospect of sanction reductions was not a component of his Penn State interview in December, nor did he make overt references with recruits. Former Sen. George Mitchell, Penn State's athletics integrity monitor, recommended the sanctions reductions as part of his annual report. Mitchell did the same last year, which led to a gradual restoration of scholarships.Players said Monday's announcement surprised the team. They returned to practice Tuesday with renewed motivation. It allows people to realize they're not playing just for each or our university anymore, Hull said. Our wins mean something. If we do a good job on Saturdays, we'll have a reward at the end of the season with <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=Cheap-Gucci-Wallet>Gucci Belt Price</a> either the Big Ten championship game or a bowl game. The Federal Housing Administration is overhauling a long-held policy <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php>Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale</a> of charging extra interest payments on loans it insures to borrowers who have already paid off the principal debts on their mortgages.
FHA has permitted its lenders to charge borrowers a full month of interest when they sell or refinance a home, even if borrowers had paid off the mortgage weeks prior to the end of the month. As the Los Angeles Times explains, if borrowers went to closing on an FHA loan on September 3, lenders would be allowed to continue to charge them interest through September 30.
For years, critics have argued that the policy <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion outlet</a> was unfair to borrowers. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau raised the issue with FHA last year, asking why FHA was allowing its lenders to collect post-payment penalties from borrowers at closing.
FHA had argued that its bond investors, who purchase packages of insured mortgages, expected full-month payments of interest plus principal. FHA said that its lenders did charge borrowers slightly below market rates to help compensate for the post-closing payments.
Beginning January 21, 2015 new FHA <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors bags</a> mortgages will require lenders to collect interest only on the balance remaining on the date of closing for a home sale or refinancing. Following the successful broadcast of the Dota 2 tournament in mid-July which surpassed expectations across the board, rumors circulated that ESPN was looking to expand its eSports coverage.

222.77.229.212: EDITORIAL- Congress returns from five

@@@
Given the complaining about President Obama鈥檚 dilemma in the Middle East 鈥?not exactly aided by his earlier admission that his administration lacked a 鈥渟trategy鈥?for dealing with the Islamic militants who during the summer took over something like a third of Iraq 鈥?you might expect Congress to come forward with some specific ideas on what <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Louisa-Bag>Tory Burch Louisa Bag</a> the United States ought to do. Don鈥檛 expect much.
If some lawmakers do suggest further intervention by the United States beyond airstrikes, they better have a good idea of how they鈥檙e going to pay for it and who will fight it. We don鈥檛 need to be cutting taxes and putting our military in harm鈥檚 way while the rest of us remain at home waving flags and proclaiming our support for the troops while resisting any of the sacrifices that might be required of the American homefront.
By now, Congress sure ought to be able to come up with a package to deal with the border crisis, including the care and possible returning of more than 60,000 youths who practically strolled into the United States from violence-ridden countries in Central America.
Many House Republicans have pretty much warned the president not to do anything on immigration 鈥?particularly allowing millions of undocumented workers to stay in the country 鈥?but then they better huddle with Senate Democrats to come up with at least some alternative. And if <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Espadrilles>Jimmy Choo Outlet Uk</a> the two sides can鈥檛 agree after years of research and debate on this issue 鈥?since at least 2007 鈥?then it will be hard to blame this president for taking action on his own. (Obama now says he鈥檒l wait till after elections.)
Unfortunately, pressing issues such as the conquest of northern Iraq by the Islamic State and immigration along our nation鈥檚 southern border will probably get no more than lip service. Democrats eyeing their prospects of losing the Senate reportedly will push such middle-class issues as student loans and the minimum wage. Republicans will seek to condemn the president for his handling of the Bowe Bergdahl-Taliban prisoner swap, even as the Middle East burns with beheadings, crucifixions and beatings.
Hopefully, Congress will pass a short-term continuing resolution to keep the government operating beyond Sept. 30 鈥?even Republicans pushing last year鈥檚 government shutdown will think twice of such dramatic and costly gestures before elections. And Congress reportedly will extend the Export-Import Bank鈥檚 authorization, at least on a short-term basis. The issue is one that has divided Republicans, so in essence they鈥檒l put off the matter till, <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=True-Religion-Jeans-Wholesale-China>True Religion Jeans Wholesale China</a> yes, the elections are over.
Which gets to the real problem in Washington. Politicians anymore are in a perpetual state of campaigning 鈥?and too many Americans haven鈥檛 grasped this failure.

Unfortunately, I have become political fodder in a game of high-stakes politics due to a small role I played in a low budget film as a favor to a friend struggling to fulfill his own dreams, Benyak wrote in an email. I'm a veteran, a small business owner, and I'm active in my community. If helping <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=True-Religion-Blue-Jeans>Baby True Religion Jeans On Sale</a> friends in need is what I'm charged with, then I am guilty, and I won't apologize for it. Benyak, 50, has run his own law practice for 20 years.A film trailer shows Pittsburgh actor Richard John Walters as the lead character, The Farmer, forcefully taking women to a house for torture. The film depicts implied rape, cannibalism, beatings, buying and selling women as livestock, a man riding a woman and milking a woman.Benyak's character and a woman who plays his wife tie up a woman and force-feed her, said Knotts, a registered Republican. All of the (characters) in the film are pretty twisted, he said. The Republican Governors Association, which has given Gov. Tom Corbett's campaign $1.82 million, jumped on the information when Knotts tweeted about it and a BuzzFeed story chronicled Benyak's appearances in the film and TV ad. Wolf travels the state in his Jeep, which has a Twitter account, @TomWolfsJeep.An Allegheny County Republican and former state attorney general, Corbett is seeking a second term.Knotts said Benyak plays a villain in the film distributed by Troma Entertainment in New <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=True-Religion-Socks>True Religion Jeans Outlet</a> York. Knotts doubts the Wolf campaign staff knew about the film. He said he would not describe it as porn. It is a horror film, Knotts said. There is no sex. There is torture and frontal nudity. Steve Jobs told the Pentagon that he smoked weed as a young man to calm down and think creatively 鈥?and he was only just the most influential technologist of our time.
So it鈥檚 a nice little bit of circularity that you can use one of Jobs鈥?legacies 鈥?the beautiful, powerful iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus 鈥?to get your hands on <a href=http://www.alportico.net/prodotti/christianlouboutin-sale.jkmsw.php>Christian Louboutin Sale</a> a pungent sack of lateral thinking. There are 1.3 million apps available in the App Store. Here鈥檚 our five favorite 420-enhancing apps for iOS.
Eaze

Not even an app and it鈥檚 our current favorite. You use like Uber to order medical marijuana to your door in literally minutes. Apple鈥檚 App Store blocks the selling of cannabis, so you use iOS鈥檚 spiffy Safari browser to peruse Eaze s 20-strain menu, and 鈥淩equest Delivery鈥? On-board geo-location brings a courier to your spot, wherever that may be. Tax and tip included in the price. Service area <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/guccioutlet.onlinesalecc.php>Gucci Outlet</a> is San Francisco down to SFO and soon the East Bay.

The state-of-the-art strain encyclopedia really revolutionized dope data design with a clean, clinical aesthetic that ditched all the serrated pot leaves and other stoner tropes. Now, Leafly鈥檚 backed by private equity and expanding rapidly. Use it to learn about strains and help locate them nearby.

This Orange County-launched service is now the default online menu for America鈥檚 medical and recreational pot outlets. User interface still suffers from a cludgy integration with Google Maps鈥?API. But due to its scale and penetration, it鈥檚 an unbeatable necessity in the weed world.

Not a dedicated weed app, per se, but something better 鈥?the Internet鈥檚 real-time visual repository of cannabis culture. Due to a combination of faux-anonymity and high levels of community engagement, the Facebook-owned, 200 million-user, free photo sharing service has been . Tens of millions of weedy photos are searchable by hashtag. Looking for a sub-sub-sub-culture to call your own with that new 8 megapixel iPhone 6 camera? Check out #yogadabs or #elderlywhodab.

One of the best parts of about enjoying cannabis is company. But a social network like Facebook is way too endemic for a schedule 1 narcotic. Anything you post on there will make it into a background check eventually. We like to keep things discrete with , which allows you to create small groups on your phone <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion uk</a> and message them text, links, photos, video, and gifs. It鈥檚 the perfect way to share new finds and coordinate meet-ups with like-minded friends without broadcasting your lifestyle to your mom and employer.

222.77.229.212: McGrath- Goodell is lying or foolish, and neither is good

Roger Goodell is either a liar or a dunce. Those are the only conclusions to be drawn from the NFL commissioner s fumbling of an internal investigation that went awry from the snap. Goodell maintains he never saw the videotape of Ray Rice s knockout punch of a defenseless woman in a casino elevator until Monday. Really? The most powerful executive of the world s most formidable pro sports organization didn t have access to a tape eventually obtained by a celebrity-gossip website? Goodell s insistence is difficult to believe, but at least it helps explain his initial, astonishingly tone-deaf response to the events of Feb. 15, when Rice was seen dragging an unconscious Janay Palmer out of an elevator door.Goodell determined a two-game suspension of the Baltimore Ravens running back to be appropriate. Sitting out two games, Goodell explained, is consistent with the league s policy of punishing players with no previous history of domestic violence . We just can t make up the discipline, Goodell said on Aug. 1. It has to be consistent with other cases. What I want to see is success stories. I want to see people, when they make a mistake, I want to see them take responsibility and accountability for it and <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/news/Cheap-Gucci-Belts-Shop-Com-Shoes-Hats-Cheap.html>Shop Gucci</a> a make a difference going forward. I think that s what Ray Rice is going to do. After TMZ Sports made the tape of Rice s mistake available to the public, after the tape sickened anybody with a grasp of civility, the commissioner changed his tune. Instead of envisioning Ray Rice as a potential success story, Goodell finally saw a creep unfit to draw an NFL paycheck and suspended him indefinitely. Did Goodell tell the truth about rendering judgment on Rice before TMZ released the tape? Despite my doubts, I will take him at his word. Which brings us to an equally harsh assessment of Roger Goodell: an incompetent nitwit who makes Barney Fife s tenuous stewardship of the Mayberry Jail seem like <a href=http://www.torysburch.co.uk>Tory Burch Outlet</a> James Bond at his Cold-War coolest. Goodell is the front-office face of a league that regulates the length of its players socks, the color of their shoes, the demeanor of their touchdown celebrations. Behind the scenes, off the field, the the NFL employs a security force second to none. Gambling is an obvious concern, because even the most obscure name on a roster some special teams guy can affect a point spread. But there are other challenges confronting NFL security: Drug deals, death threats, players with childhood gang ties and, yes, players whose hard-wired appetite for physical confrontation sometimes leads to violence at home or in an elevator at a casino. The job of monitoring all of this belongs, essentially, to former cops with elite FBI and DEA credentials or, in the case of league security chief Jeffrey B. Miller, a r sum assembled as head of Pennsylvania State Police the ninth largest police organization in the U.S, with 400 enlisted and civilian employees operating from a $750 million budget. Put it this way: If you once were late with a third-grade homework assignment, it would take NFL security about 12 minutes to produce the evidence. And yet, Roger Goodell didn t know about the videotape TMZ made public Monday? He didn t wonder if the casino that had a camera showing Rice dragging a woman from an elevator car also might have camera in the elevator car itself?Goodell, <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/state/True-Religion-Jeans-On-Sale-Factory-Outlet-Sweat-Suit-Wholesale.html>True Religion Jeans On Sale</a> as judge and jury, reached a verdict regarding Rice based on inclusive information: A two-game suspension for a first offender. Let s not overreact, the commissioner said. This is a potential success story about a flawed man willing to take responsibility for a mistake that left a woman his fiancee and future wife on the floor. It was an awkward attempt to turn a harrowing incident into something upbeat, and the saga now turns towards the corruption associated with a scandal. The information was there. A bully threw a punch so hard it knocked a woman senseless, and the commissioner all but waved it off: Hey, we all have bad days, let s focus on doing better going forward. Please. Ray Rice is out of a job good riddance but Roger Goodell needs to be out of his job, too. He s either a liar or a dunce, take your pick, and there s only one other option on the board: He s both.

222.77.229.212: Sports Out West 5 reasons why the Angels are on the fast

Just over a week ago the Los Angeles Angels held just a one game lead over the Oakland A s. 聽Now after Friday nights victory in Minnesota and an A s loss, the Angels have a six game lead. 聽Let s take a look at five reasons <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=Cheap-True-Religion-Jeans-Uk>True Religion Jeans Outlet</a> why the Angels are on the fast-track to a World Series title.
1. 聽Bullpen
Ever since Jerry Dipoto traded for , the Angels bullpen has become a dominant force. 聽The game has turned into a six inning game with the addition of and the emergence of and to compliment Street who anchors the backend. 聽
Just last week the Angels bullpen had eight relievers combine to shut out the A s for a win. 聽This bullpen group is reminiscent of the 2002 Angels ball club that had Scott Shields, Brendon Donnelly, Francisco Rodriguez and Troy Percival. 聽
2. 聽Starting Pitchers
The starting pitchers have gotten the Angels this far. 聽The pitching as a whole has been good but after last weekend where the Angels starters matched the A s pitchers pitch for pitch, it became evident that the Angels have something special going on. 聽
is the ace of the rotation but rookie has emerged as a solid number two starter with 14 wins on the season. 聽Look for left to get on track and provide depth for the Angels in the playoffs.
3. 聽Mike Trout
is the best player in baseball. 聽He is certainly going through his struggles at the moment at the plate but in Friday nights game he went 2 for 6 and got two more RBIs to put him at 100 for the season. 聽Trout can save runs with his glove and can put runs up on the board with his bat and speed at the <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=Cheap-True-Religion-Jeans-For-Kids>Mens True Religion</a> plate. 聽Look for him to create havoc once he gets into the playoffs.
Trout plays center field and it will be crucial for him to cover a lot of ground and make a lot of plays in the playoffs to save runs from scoring.
4. 聽
Aybar anchors the defense at the shortstop position. 聽He is an incredible talent who is in line for a gold glove. 聽But the more important thing about Aybar is his ability to get the clutch hit and RBI. 聽
In Friday nights game he demonstrated this by bringing in the winning run for the Angels with a sac fly. 聽He currently has 60 RBIs and has scored 69 runs but he has been a steady for the Angels with his defense and offense all season. 聽He is a big reason for their success and why they could win a World Series.
5. 聽Ability to come back
The Angels lead the majors with the most come from behind wins. 聽They seem to never be out of any game and have the magic to come from behind. 聽In Fridays game the Angels trailed the Twins 4 to 3 and in the top of the 8th they stormed back to take a 6 to 4 lead. 聽They eventually won 7 to 6 in 1o <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=True-Religion-Brand-Jean>True Religion Brand Jean</a> innings but again they found a way to win the game when their pitching staff wasn t at their best.
The Angels have all the pieces to make a deep run in the playoffs and to win their second World Series title. 聽They just need to stay consistent and continue to pitch the way they have the past month.
&nbsp;
&nbsp;

@@@
WASHINGTON聽鈥?The good news is that Americans are saving more than ever for college. The bad news is that the average amount wouldn't come close to getting a person a degree. In a report released Tuesday, the College Savings Plans Network found that the average college savings or prepaid tuition account known as a "529" plan is now worth about $20,671 鈥?almost double what these accounts were worth during the dog-days of the recession.Called a 529 after a section in the <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors outlet</a> federal tax code, these investment accounts aren't the only way to save for college. But they are a popular option because the money grows tax-free and withdrawals aren't taxed so long as the money is used for college expenses. The group, which tracks the state-sponsored savings plans, attributes the increase to several factors including a healthier stock market and improved economy, as well as greater consumer awareness of 529 plans and a growing concern among parents of the cost of higher education. According to the report, contributions to 529 plans jumped from $16.5 billion in 2009 to $22.5 billion. At the same time, the $20,671 figure would only cover the first year at a public college or university. The average cost for a four-year public school, including room and board, is about $18,391 a year for in-state students but rises sharply 鈥?$31,701 鈥?<a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors outlet</a> for those from out of state. Private schools typically cost even more with $40,917 for a single year of tuition, fees, room and board, according to recent estimates by the College Board.Betty Lochner, chair of the College Savings Plans Network, said the latest finding is still good news because any amount saved is money that won't need to be repaid with interest."The steady increase of total assets, account size and contributions in 529 plans, are positive signs that Americans recognize saving for college as a long-term commitment and investment," Lochner said in a statement accompanying the group's report.Overall, the group found that college savings and prepaid tuition plans have climbed steadily since 2008, when the country fell into a recession following the crash of the housing market. That year, the average <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> college savings account dropped to $10,690. The nation had $104.9 billion in assets managed under the savings plans at the time.As of June this year, the average savings account almost doubled to $20,671 with total assets topping $244 billion. The group noted a particularly sharp increase in the first half of this year: Between January and June, total assets in 529 plans grew by about $17 billion.

@@@
The school also claims in the <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Logan>Jimmy Choo Logan</a> suit that the BAA has abandoned its original 鈥渃haritable purpose,鈥?and asks for the association to either be terminated or 鈥渞eformed and limited to the provision of financial aid to Baylor and Baylor students.鈥?
The suit, filed late Friday in McLennan County鈥檚 74th State District Court, charges that Baylor previously terminated licensing agreements that permitted the BAA to use the university鈥檚 name, but that the organization has continued using the registered trademarks despite Baylor鈥檚 objections.
Baylor is seeking a judgment barring the group from continuing to hold itself out as the university鈥檚 official alumni association and injunctive relief 鈥渢o limit BAA鈥檚 purposes by reformation to provide only financial aid to Baylor students.鈥?
The lawsuit comes less than three weeks after a letter Baylor President Ken Starr sent to the BAA鈥檚 board of directors advising the alumni association of impending legal action.
It is the latest wrangling in the contentious relationship between the two entities, which reached a head in September after the BAA did not approve a transition agreement that would have dissolved its independent charter and turned all of its alumni outreach activities over to Baylor.
Baylor previously gave the alumni association until Dec. 8 to cease using the trademarks after the failure of the agreement, following through on its original May 31, 2013, notice of intent to terminate the licensing agreements.
鈥淭hey鈥檝e failed to act in response to the university鈥檚 continued request to provide any real or concrete plan of action to Baylor,鈥?Baylor spokeswoman Lori Fogleman said. 鈥淭he university is moving to protect the interest of Baylor, its students and alumni by seeking appropriate legal relief rather than simply waiting further for some indication of actual progress from the association.鈥?
BAA President Keith Starr said he learned of the lawsuit through a phone message from the Tribune-Herald.
He declined to comment on the specifics of the suit until he had a chance to read the full document and consult with the BAA鈥檚 executive committee.
鈥淥bviously, we are very, very disappointed,鈥?said Starr, who is not related to the Baylor president. The BAA has previously argued that the licensing agreements are in effect 鈥渋n perpetuity鈥?and that Baylor does not have the right to sever them. But Baylor is seeking a judgment stating that the agreements were properly terminated because they are 鈥?1) indefinite in duration and (2) terminable at will by BAA . . . and therefore terminable at will by either party.鈥?
Baylor argues in the lawsuit that the BAA has abandoned the charitable purposes outlined in its bylaws, including providing scholarships for students and coordinating alumni activities.
The suit notes that all but one of the BAA鈥檚 staff resigned after the failure of the transition agreement, 10 of whom have taken jobs with the university.
鈥淏AA has no capacity to 鈥榗oordinate all alumni activity (of Baylor)鈥?nor to 鈥榮erve as the general alumni organization of Baylor University,鈥?nor is it likely to acquire such capacity,鈥?the lawsuit <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Shoes-Clearance>Tory Burch Shoes Clearance</a> states.
In addition, the lawsuit notes that the BAA made a $1 million scholarship donation pledge in February 2013 but never provided those funds to the university.
In a May 30 letter to Baylor, former BAA President George Cowden III noted that the group鈥檚 leadership team had planned to finalize the details of the donations with the university, but those talks were put on hold during the negotiations of the transition agreement.
A team of representatives from the BAA and members of Baylor鈥檚 board of regents hashed out the transition agreement over 10 months, but the final details were only revealed to the BAA鈥檚 full membership when the document was unveiled publicly in May 2013.
鈥淒iscussions over this potential donation then became subsumed in the negotiations over the proposed transition agreement, which would have required much of the BAA鈥檚 funds to be transferred to Baylor,鈥?Cowden wrote. 鈥淪ince the transition agreement was not approved by the BAA鈥檚 membership, the terms of the BAA鈥檚 potential donation were never finalized.鈥?
The lawsuit also takes issue with a May 2014 issue of 鈥淭he Baylor Line鈥?the BAA published to share its version of the tumultuous relationship with Baylor and the events that led to the transition <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Jellies-On-Sale>Tory Burch Jellies On Sale</a> agreement.
The suit states that the magazine 鈥渇urther demonstrates that BAA is continuing to rely on Baylor鈥檚 marks and good will to publish a magazine that does not promote union and good fellowship among Baylor alumni.鈥?
Keith Starr told the Tribune-Herald last week that the BAA was still hopeful for a compromise with the university.
鈥淣obody that I know of from the alumni association is looking for a fight with Baylor,鈥?Keith Starr said. 鈥淲e love the university. Nobody would serve on the alumni association board or assume a position of leadership within the alumni association if they weren鈥檛 committed to the university.鈥?

222.77.229.212: DSHS secretary says agency running $25M short &mdash; besides the courts&rsquo; $30M mental health mandate_0

Social safety net programs overseen by Washington s biggest state government agency are running in the red, and the hole likely will require a $25 million patch from the Legislature in January. That s the assessment of Department of Social and Health Services Secretary Kevin Quigley, who described the situation as a budget crisis. He said a surge in calls to Child Protective Services hotlines, higher costs in welfare <a href=http://www.agricolagiardina.it/help.asp?items=188>Ray Ban Neri</a> programs and mental hospitals, and information technology needs are all driving his agency s budget shortfall.Quigley said that shortfall is in addition to the $30 million needed to stop the practice of psychiatric boarding, which the state Supreme Court ruled last month must stop. The high court has given until Dec. 26 to halt the practice of sticking such patients in hospital emergency rooms without appropriate treatment.Beyond the psychiatric boarding issues, the department s shortfall which Quigley estimated at $25 million to $26 million includes a gap in Child Protective Services where calls to hotlines reporting abuse or seeking help have been surging. Quigley thinks he ll need $6 million to $8 million in emergency spending to fix the problem, and he may have to add 50 to 100 more staffers.Calls and investigations have increased by 10 to 15 percent and have led to a backlog of 2,000 cases not handled within the 90-day limit his agency must meet. Quigley said there were about 2,000 cases exceeding that limit when Gov. Jay Inslee took office in early 2013. The agency had since reduced the backlog to about 600 cases, only to see it go back up to 2,000. There should be zero cases open more than 90 days. In fact, there should be zero cases open more than 60 days, in my opinion, he said. One other particular area of concern is the state s mental hospitals, which overspent budgets by about $3 million in the year that ended June 30. These facilities will be $6 million in the hole by the time lawmakers return in January, Quigley said. The big challenge normally is if you don t have funding, you have to close <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/news/Cheap-Gucci-Belts-Official-Site-Backpack-Men-Leather-Jacket.html>Gucci Backpack Men</a> a ward. But the Legislature has been quite clear they don t want to close wards, Quigley said. He said lawmakers of both parties deserve credit for raising funding for mental hospitals, but he expects them to have concerns about the management of overtime pay as they try to contain costs. Other costs are rising in welfare programs, which have required extra personnel to process claims. A big piece of potentially $8 million in extra expenses is in information technology and includes a fix for the computer program used to determine eligibility for benefits. Other costs are for doing incapacity exams for disabled people who are in transition to being covered by Social Security and to move community-services staffers in Vancouver from a leased building to a state-owned structure. The agency is having more success sticking to the budget in other areas. Budgets for aging and long-term care, developmental disabilities and juvenile rehabilitation seem to be in good shape, according to the secretary.Top House and Senate budget writers could not be reached immediately for comment Monday. But the welfare programs division known as Community Services recently staged from Senate Republican Leader Mark Schoesler of Ritzville, who called it a splurge. I m very skeptical <a href=http://www.mahaloshuttle.com/service/Tory-Burch-Outlet-Online-Thin-Flip-Flops-Handbags-Cheap-Wristlets.html>Tory Burch Wristlets</a> of their budgeting. I think they always have slush money tucked away (Agencies) always trot out the most needy or cite a court ruling, Schoesler said Monday. But clearly we re not out of budget difficulties and they ve shown real insensitivity. Quigley defended the trainings, which the agency estimated to have cost $217 for each of the more than 2,100 employees who attended two-day workshops in Tacoma. The state paid $17,500 to a humorist and motivational speaker to address each of three workshops, but Quigley said community service offices have high turnover and it makes sense to spend $217 on boosting a staffer s morale than to spend $25,000 training a new worker.

222.77.229.212: Bill Whitaker- Local group Citizens for Responsible Lending seeks to rein in dubious payday loan practices

@@@
Given the meeting was held <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Sunglasses-Case>Kate Spade Wallet</a> in North Waco the same night Baylor University invited one and all to a free concert and fireworks show at its new $266 million stadium, I didn鈥檛 expect more than a few people to show, but some 60 to 70 fired-up, even angry residents attended, eager to do something about scandalous payday lending practices. Some wanted to know why the Waco City Council hasn鈥檛 followed the example of other cities in Texas and passed an ordinance at least moderately regulating such businesses.
Payday and auto-title loan stores 鈥?usually the businesses have the word 鈥渃ash鈥?in the name 鈥?often victimize the unwitting poor by appealing to their occasional need for fast cash, such as when car repairs crop up. The problem is the loans are marketed on a two-week or monthlong basis with astronomical interest rates or fees so high that the borrower often can鈥檛 pay the loan back. He can end up paying in interest or fees many times the value of the original loan. Talk about your cycles of poverty.
Citizens for Responsible Lending, which formed last winter, has some three dozen members and first met with city leaders in January, says at least 29 such loan businesses operate in the Waco area, with annual percentage rates of up to 500 percent and loan terms that pull borrowers into even greater debt.
What鈥檚 more, watchdog groups such as Texas Appleseed and the Texas Catholic Conference say payday and auto-title loan outfits in Waco have a reputation for some of the most punitive collection practices in the state. Jennifer Allmon, associate director of the Austin-based Texas Catholic Conference, learned of a Waco man so in debt to an auto-title loan company that he gave up his regular lodgings and moved into a homeless shelter long enough to save money to pay off the loan.
His mistake: telling lenders about it.
鈥淎nd they showed up and repossessed his vehicle with all of his possessions and he went to the homeless shelter and lost not just his truck but everything he owned,鈥?she said. 鈥淭hey were able to get assistance through an attorney to get his truck back, but the contract had a stipulation that all possessions in the truck were the property of the auto-title loan company, so he never got back his clothing, his furniture and his bedroom set. And, you know, it鈥檚 something to be willing to live in a homeless shelter to pay your debts.鈥?
Ann Baddour of the public interest law center Texas Appleseed dismisses the argument that such businesses help people in emergencies, especially given the outlandish annual percentage rates ranging from 200 to 600 percent: 鈥淎 product that <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Scout-Bag>Kate Spade Scout Bag</a> is designed for people to fail is not an answer. People may get the money they need on Day One, but on Day 30 they鈥檙e worse off than when they walked into the store.鈥?
Baddour and Allmon say they鈥檙e not out to eliminate such businesses but to ensure they鈥檙e regulated to keep more people from falling for the lure of quick cash with treacherous strings attached. However, payday loan industry lobbyists with deep pockets have blocked reforms, such as capping how high interest rates can go. One proposal discussed locally: alternative lending products offered through credit unions and community lenders or financial assistance through nonprofits or church groups.
Local advocates of reform say state Rep. Kyle Kacal, R-Bryan, who represents some economically struggling areas of Waco and Bellmead, has promised to back some sort of reform. And, they note, state Rep. Charles 鈥淒oc鈥?Anderson, R-Waco, sits on the Texas House Investments and Financial Services Committee and, thus, could be pivotal in such reforms. They say Anderson has asked for more information.
Community organizer Alexis Christensen of Waco Community Development says state data indicate <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Maryanne-Bag>Kate Spade Maryanne Bag</a> some $10.5 million is drained from the local economy each year because of such businesses in the Waco area 鈥?and that regulating these businesses, whether through city ordinances or action by the Legislature, would complement the mission behind Prosper Waco, our city鈥檚 impressive anti-poverty coalition.
She鈥檚 got a point. As a recent survey of our poverty problem by the prestigious W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research confirmed this year, it鈥檚 hard to get to work in Waco when you lack a car. And it鈥檚 tough coming home when you haven鈥檛 paid the rent.

The upcoming show will follow six 鈥渕ega-pastors鈥?in the City of Angels as they live their lives, preach their sermons and tend to any lost sheep in their communities.
Offering a glance into the holy order, the series will focus on daily 鈥渟truggles and triumphs鈥?in the ministers鈥?personal and professional lives, as well as how they balance their commitments.
Call it an act of God or scandalous covenant, local pastors have a few words to say on the matter.
鈥淚鈥檓 totally against it,鈥?Pastor William J. Smith of Saint Tabernacle Church in L.A. tells theGrio. <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/state/Mens-True-Religion-Jeans-Bucket-Hat-Jean-Jacket-For-Women-Girls.html>True Religion Bucket Hat</a> 鈥淲hen you put the church in the category of all these other shows 鈥?though I don鈥檛 watch them, I don鈥檛 have time for that foolishness 鈥?it demeans the church. It brings it down and it takes away the value of why it鈥檚 here. That鈥檚 why the church is in the condition that it鈥檚 in. Because the church has, in a sense, aligned itself with themes of the world.鈥?
Smith argues the public already ridicules the church, thus this heightened display of attention will provide ammunition for their scorn.
鈥淲hen one falls, we all fall or we鈥檙e all no good,鈥?he points out. 鈥淣ow, I鈥檓 not against prosperity because God wants these people to prosper, but there鈥檚 a way off course being flamboyant and boasting about our prosperity.鈥?
He adds, 鈥淭hat causes people to look down on us. Our job is to preach the gospel, and to reach people. It鈥檚 not to match wits with the world.鈥?
From the son of preacher man
Conceived by real-life pastors鈥?kids, Preachers of L.A. was created by Lemuel Plummer, executive producer of Vindicated and producer of The Sheards, and Holly Carter, executive producer of <a href=http://www.duncannon.co.uk/js/ajax.asp>Dr Dre Beats Uk</a> 106 Gospel and The Sheards, as a means of building awareness of the faith community and the extent of a preacher鈥檚 path.
Pastors on the show include Bishop Noel Jones, Minister Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Jay Haizlip, Pastor Wayne Chaney and Bishop Ron Gibson.
In the previews, the men are shown wearing tailored suits and sunglasses, tattooed, flanked by an entourage and driving around in fancy cars.
Growing up in the church, the producers wanted to portray unsung realities they witnessed, and the pressures placed on preachers and their families.
Regardless of benevolent aims, Smith says putting the church on this platform disgraces its stature.
鈥淲e should represent Jesus here on this Earth today,鈥?he explains. 鈥淲e have to separate ourselves from the themes and the limelight of what people are doing today as far as commercializing the Bible.鈥?
The plus side of opening Heaven鈥檚 gate
While Smith may disapprove of such glorified exhibitions, other clergymen see a positive angle to the promotion.
Reverend Mark Whitlock of Christ Our Redeemer Church in Irvine, CA knows several of the pastors involved, and feels it is an opportunity for people to understand <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=True-Religion-Socks>True Religion Jeans Outlet</a> how difficult the life of a preacher can be.
He hopes there will be a 鈥済reater appreciation鈥?for the job, however he does express reserves for the way reality TV can misconstrue a story.
What does Terry Pegula鈥檚 imminent purchase of mean? Source: 鈥淚t鈥檚 historic for the city of Buffalo.鈥?The team isn鈥檛 going anywhere Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet)
Kim Pegula, Terry鈥檚 wife, will be heavily involved in the executive process, making many of the decisions, source says. Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet)
of Forbes reported financial details following Graham's report:
Sources are telling me that&nbsp;Terry Pegula&nbsp;has won the bidding for the Buffalo Bills for about $1.2 billion, a record price paid for a professional football team. ...
... My source says the Toronto Group, which included rocker Jon&nbsp;Bon Jovi, Larry Tenenbaum, chairman and 25% owner of Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment, and the Rogers family, bid "around $1 billion" while <Donald> Trump's bid did not top $900 million.
ESPN's Adam Schefter later reported the total was even higher:
Now being told that Terry Pegula paid close to $1.4 BILLion for the Bills, per sources. Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter)
The team became available following the death of owner and founder Ralph Wilson, who passed away at the age of 95 in March.
While potential celebrity buyers <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> such as Jon Bon Jovi and Donald Trump made for compelling headlines and intriguing talking points, Pegula had recently established himself as the favorite. The reason? Locality and a whole lot of cash.&nbsp;
&nbsp;at $3.3 billion, the 63-year-old recently in West Virginia and Ohio for $1.75 billion, hinting he had more to sell if necessary.&nbsp;
It goes beyond money, though. He has shown a real interest in the Bills beyond just another business venture, and his purchase means the team is staying in Buffalo.
As NFL writer Brian McIntyre and the&nbsp;Toronto Star's Bruce Arthur noted, this is a time to celebrate for Bills fans:
Terry Pegula would be a great owner for the Bills. Definitely best option because he鈥檒l keep them in Buffalo, where they belong Brian McIntyre (@brian_mcintyre)
Oh, and per , Terry Pegula s buyin the Bills. Happy for you, Buffalo. Bruce Arthur (@bruce_arthur)
Bon Jovi's ownership group was based out of Toronto, while no one really knew what to expect with Trump. There was real concern about the Bills' future in Buffalo in light of both of their bids, but that talk can now be put to rest.

This is an exciting time for the Bills franchise.
Are you happy with this news?

MILWAUKEE (WITI) The latest calls for peace in Milwaukee can come from anyone, and they ll be heard by everyone. The Milwaukee Police Department has partnered with some of Milwaukee s radio stations in a new Triggers of Peace campaign.
Police, and a number of Milwaukee s DJs believe the airwaves are the perfect platform. They re using the signal to give citizens across Milwaukee a voice to call for peace.
Hello Milwaukee community. I`m just calling to ask all my brothers and sisters to please stop this violence, Artania Grant says in a voice-mail for radio <a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Mules>Jimmy Choo Mules</a> station V-100.7.
Milwaukee s urban radio stations are collecting the recordings, and they ll be played throughout the day.
We could run regular PSAs all the time `anti-violence, anti-violence` but it takes on a different tone when you hear your grandmother telling you `hey you know what? This isn`t the right way to do,' V-100.7 Program Director Bailey Coleman said.
The personalized messages are the result of a partnership between Urban Radio United for Peace and Milwaukee police. Hoping to reduce gun violence, MPD enlisted the help of ad agency Cramer-Krasselt.
It became very clear to us very quickly that messages where you talk at people, the `just walk away` wasn`t gonna play. You really needed to get personal, Lisa Rios with Cramer-Krasselt said.
<a href=http://www.cicviseu.net/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Saba-Bag>Jimmy Choo Outlet Uk</a> For every hardcore repeat offender, there are wannabes looking at that person as a possible leader. Who`s gonna offset the message of the cool kid with the gun? Well the only people that can are moms. The only people that can are grandmas. The only people that can are <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=True-Religion-For-Girls>True Religion For Girls</a> folks they respect, Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn said.
I`m a mother of four and I like to bring my kids out to play. We like to have fun, but it`s not safe anymore in our community, Grant said.
The goal is for so many people to leave messages that eventually, someone who s thinking about committing a crime will hear the voice of a loved one.
It`s more direct. It`s more hard-hitting. It s right there, Coleman said.
So far this year, police say Milwaukee has seen 60 homicides. That can be compared to 76 at this time last year.

@@@
Construction is underway on South Puget Sound Community College s new Lacey campus, an $11 million project that Lacey officials expect to be a shot in the arm for the neighborhood and possibly fill long-vacant buildings.Work began last month and the project is expected to be finished in summer 2015, college spokeswoman Kellie Purce Braseth said. The college paid $4 million for the complex of five buildings on Sixth Avenue across from the Intercity Transit station, formerly known as Rowe Six.The plan is to transform the 50,000-square-foot <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> Building 1, which faces Sixth Avenue, into an entrepreneurial center. It will combine the college s Small Business Development Center and the Thurston County Economic Development Council in a single destination to support entrepreneurs and business start-ups.The EDC, its staff and services will move into the new building, EDC Executive Director Michael Cade said. The organization also plans to work with several community partners such as chambers of commerce, the city of Lacey, The Evergreen State College and Saint Martin s University, Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Enterprise for Equity. But Building 1 also will be home to corporate and continuing education staff and classes, as well as other classrooms, computer labs and student services, Purce Braseth said. The college also will occupy Buildings 2 and 3. Building No. 3 will be home to an advanced manufacturing program. Meanwhile, Buildings 4 and 5 likely will be demolished to make way for either parking or a new <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion sale</a> building, she said.In all, about 11,000 people will use the campus. The estimate combines students taking credit classes and others, such as state workers, participating in training.City officials hope that influx of people will inject some life into the Woodland District and specifically, Woodland Square Loop. Woodland Square Loop surrounds Huntamer Park, and many nearby office buildings have significant vacancies, the result of the recession and downsizing. Several of those buildings have a new owner: MJR Development of Kirkland. The city of Lacey also recently announced a plan to sublease from the college about 1,000 square feet in Building 2 to create a military service center. The city has a memorandum of understanding with veterans centers in Tacoma and Federal Way to provide services in Lacey, with an emphasis on behavioral health. The center is expected to open in October.Meanwhile, SPSCC <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/anel.php> Christian Louboutin Shoes Outlet</a> s existing Lacey campus is on Hawks Prairie between Marvin Road and Galaxy Drive. The college has leased the space since 1995, but in 2005 it purchased property off Marvin Road and set out to build a new campus. Since then, economic changes have taken the college in a new direction. The Marvin Road property, for which the college paid $6.2 million, is for sale, Purce Braseth said.

222.77.229.212: Enterovirus D68 cases now being investigated in 12 states

@@@
(CNN) Respiratory illnesses caused by an enterovirus are sending hundreds of children to hospitals throughout the Midwest and Southeast, health officials say.
Twelve states are reporting clusters of enterovirus illness: Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Utah.
Four of those states Colorado, Illinois, Missouri and Iowa have confirmed cases of Enterovirus D68, also known as EV-D68.
Enteroviruses, which can cause a variety of symptoms, aren t unusual. If you ve ever had a bad summer cold, it was likely caused by an enterovirus. The CDC estimates there are 10 to 15 <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Evangeline>Kate Spade Wallet</a> million viral infections each year in the United States. The season often hits its peak in September.
It s important to remember that these infections are very common, said Dr. Anne Schuchat, assistant surgeon general for the U.S. Public Health Service and the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases.
But this particular type of enterovirus EV-D68 is less common. And health officials are concerned by the number of hospitalizations it has caused this year.
It s worse in terms of scope of critically ill children who require intensive care. I would call it unprecedented. I ve practiced for 30 years in pediatrics, and I ve never seen anything quite like this, said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, division director for infectious diseases at Children s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Staff members noticed an initial spike on August 15, Jackson said.
It could have taken off right after school started. Our students start back around August 17, and I think it blew up at that point, Jackson said.
Many of the children who are being hospitalized have a history of asthma or wheezing, says Dr. Christine Nyquist, medical director of infection control at Children s Hospital Colorado. EV-D68 seems to exacerbate any breathing problems that aren t under control with medication.
Children s Hospital Colorado has seen a 12% to 15% increase in emergency room visits and admissions this month compared with the same time frame last year, Nyquist said. The hospital sent 25 samples to the CDC from patients with respiratory illness. Around 75% were confirmed to be EV-D68.
On Monday, the CDC confirmed that 11 samples it tested from children who had been hospitalized in Chicago tested positive for EV-D68. Nineteen of the 22 specimens sent to the CDC from <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Christian-Louboutin-Heels>Christian Louboutin Sale Uk</a> Kansas City also showed signs of the virus, meaning there is likely a regional outbreak.
The Iowa Department of Public Health confirmed that EV-D68 cases have been identified in that state. Officials are hearing of illnesses across the state, they say, though there is not a firm count of how many people have been infected.
EV-D68 was first identified in the 1960s, and there have been fewer than 100 reported cases since that time. But it s possible that the relatively low number is due to the fact that the CDC doesn t require health departments to track EV-D68.
It s one that we don t know as much about as we would like, Schuchat said.
EV-D68 was seen last year in the United States and this year in various parts of the world. Over the years, clusters have been reported in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona and various countries, including the Philippines, Japan and the Netherlands. Health officials don t know why the enterovirus has created such a problem this year.
That s the scary part the unpredictability, I think, Nyquist said.
The unusually high number of hospitalizations reported could be just the tip of the iceberg in terms of severe cases, said Mark Pallansch, a virologist and director of the CDC s Division of Viral Diseases. As states continue to send samples to the CDC, the public health agency will get a clearer picture of the number of viral infections being caused.
In the meantime, parents should be on the lookout for signs that their child is having difficulty breathing. Other common symptoms of the virus include coughing, fever and rash.
It s important to make sure your children with asthma are on their medicines and keeping up with their medication routine, Schuchat said.
Like other enteroviruses, EV-D68 appears to spread through close contact with infected people.
To reduce the risk of infection, wash your hands often <a href=http://architectscanterbury.co.uk/page.php?sale=Louboutin-Sale>Louboutin Trainers</a> with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after changing diapers. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, and avoid contact with people who are sick. Disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as toys and doorknobs, and stay home when you feeling under the weather to avoid infecting others.

222.77.229.212: Marin Cilic Beats Kei Nishikori in a US Open Final No One Cared About

The problem with the 2014 US Open final in the broader sense? Marin Cilic and Kei Nishikori aren t household names not players who are known for people who are only slightly interested in Tennis, usually awaken when a Grand Slam Final pops up. The Croatian beat the Japanese player in a final that showed this is no longer a top 4 tour, yet it s going to take some time getting used to it.
Cilic claimed the win in straight sets (6-3, 6-3, 6-3) as he beat Nishikori as the two of them made their debuts in a Grand Slam final. Cilic himself has only been past the quarterfinals in a major once in his career. Nishikori s biggest achievement to date was reaching the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
The other problem for this game, as some hope it won <a href=http://www.mahaloshuttle.com/service/Tory-Burch-Reva-Flats-Sale-Wholesale-Duffle-Bag-Caroline-Ballet-Flat.html>Tory Burch Reva Flats Sale</a> t be a repeat of the 1996 Wimbledon final, featuring one-hit wonders like Richard Krajicek and MaliVai Washington, both quite unremarkable players as history judges them only to have one shiny moment that will go down in the history pages as the final that interrupted Pete Sampras from winning Wimbledon eight times in a row.

Cilic dominated throughout the US Open, although things were difficult in the early rounds. He dropped a set in the third round when beating Kevin Anderson from South <a href=http://www.styledepth.com/test.php?sale=Cheap-Gucci-Wallet>Cheap Gucci Wallet</a> Africa, and needed five sets and his incredible serves to overcome Gilles Simon in the fourth round, in what might have been the best match of the tournament. Things were much easier for him in the final 8, beating Tomas Berdych and Roger Federer in straight sets to reach his first Grand Slam Final.
Roger Federer is still the most popular Tennis player in the world, despite not winning a Grand Slam title since 2012. The crowd in the semifinal against Cilic certainly showed that. With people growing so accustomed to the titles splitting between Djokovic, Nadal, Murray and Federer over the last few years and usually seeing these four in the semifinals, it s almost hard to compute two complete different names making it this far and playing for the trophy.
Maybe this year is a change. Nadal can t last more than two-three months without getting injured, Andy Murray might have peaked in 2012-2013, and Novak Djokovic isn <a href=http://www.getrecd.com/news/Gucci-Outlet-Online-Outlet-Store-Cheap-Shoes-Sandals.html>Gucci Outlet Store</a> t the rock solid player, physically and mentally, he was not too long ago. Roger Federer can still produce some brilliant tennis, but a best-of-five match takes too much out of him, as the five-setter against Monfils clearly showed.
This was only the second time since 2003 that no player won more than one grand slam. It s also the first time since 2003 that two players not named Federer-Nadal-Djokovic won a Grand Slam title each. The Masters and end-of-year tournament will give us a better indication if this trend will carry on into 2015, or are we going to see the same old faces after one year of shaking things up.

222.77.229.212: TMZ- Elevator video shows NFL star Ray Rice punch out girlfriend (GRAPHIC)

@@@
WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS IMAGES GRAPHIC IN NATURE. NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL AUDIENCES.
ATLANTIC CIY, N.J. A new video has surfaced showing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee inside an elevator at a hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in February.
TMZ Sports posted the video Monday showing Rice and Janay Palmer, who is now his wife, entering an elevator. Inside the elevator, Rice punches Palmer. Palmer lunges after Rice, and then Rice hits her back and she falls to the floor.
Previously, TMZ Sports had released hotel surveillance video of Rice dragging an unconscious Palmer out <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion outlet</a> of the elevator. This is the first time video has been released that shows Rice punching her.
A few months after the incident, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Rice without pay for the first two games of the regular season and fined him an additional game check for conduct detrimental to the NFL. However, no one in the NFL offices, including Goodell, had seen the newly released footage of the incident until Monday, the league told CNN.
We requested from law enforcement <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion outlet</a> any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator, NFL senior vice president of communications Greg Aiello said. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today.
The NFL has previously said that Rice entered a pretrial intervention program in May. Under the program, he won t be prosecuted, and the charges will be expunged after one year.
In a press conference in July, Rice said his actions were inexcusable and that he and his wife are in counseling.
We re taking the necessary steps to move forward, he said. My job is to lead my family. My job is to lead my wife. My job is to lead in whatever I do. And If I m not being the example, then my family crumbles.
Goodell has already been scrutinized for suspending Rice for just two games, months after the first video aired. Many felt the suspension wasn t enough.
Some NFL fans have questioned why Ravens head coach John Harbaugh would call Rice one heck of a guy, and why the Ravens would tweet out Janay Rice says she deeply <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors outlet</a> regrets the role that she played the night of the incident.
They have also questioned why Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon would be suspended for a year after testing positive for marijuana when Rice was suspended for just two games.
On August 28, Goodell released a letter to NFL team owners saying the league will institute a six-game unpaid suspension for personnel who violate the league s personal conduct policy when it relates to domestic violence. A second domestic violence incident would be punished by a lifetime ban from the league.
