59.58.157.79: Hoax map predicting 'record

@@@
BALTIMORE 鈥?A winter forecast map that is going viral and suggests above-normal snowfall for most of the country 鈥?and well above-normal snow for the Mid-Atlantic and New England 鈥?comes from a satire website.
The story has been shared widely across social media, carrying the headline Meteorologists Predict Record-Shattering Snowfall Coming Soon. The accompanying map forecasts an unusually snowy winter for about two-thirds <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/wdluk.php>Louboutin Shoes UK</a> of the country, and a corridor of even heavier snow from Virginia to Maine.
Record-shattering snow this winter? Don鈥檛 fall for it: (spoof image via Empire News)
鈥?Capital Weather Gang (@capitalweather)

In the story on EmpireNews.net, a Dr. Boris Scvediok, doctor of global weather sciences, explains that snowfall is expected to dramatically exceed normal seasonal totals.
Because this year the snowfall is predicted to start by the end of September or the beginning of October, you can <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion uk</a> expect to multiply that number by up to five, ten, maybe even twenty times in some areas, Scvedoik says in the article. In the worst zones, you could see 50 times the amount of snow you ve had in the past.
If that sounds a little too dramatic to be true, it s because it is.
As is often the case with stories from similar hoax news sites, the slightly plausible nature of the headline induced many users to post and repost the link without careful examination, the myth-busting website Snopes.com wrote about the Empire News story. However, 50 times the amount of snow is quite a broad imaginational stretch, as is the claim that such a massive weather pattern change would affect such a large swath of the continental United States.
Empire News, like The Onion, is a satire news website. Other headlines that appeared Tuesday include Six-Year-Old Steps On Crack, Breaks Mother s Back and Obama Signs Executive Order Amending Constitution, Allows Unlimited Terms As President.
In reality, seasonal forecasting remains an imprecise science. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration doesn t typically release its winter forecast until November, only a month out from <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/wdluk.php>Cheap Christian Louboutin</a> the season s onset.
There is little indication, at this point, of what the winter will hold. The Climate Prediction Center in College Park does not see any climate signal suggesting what weather might be like here three months from now, though it predicts a possible warm trend for the Northwest and cool and wet trend for the Southwest and Florida.

59.58.157.79: An analog timepiece beats in the heart of this awkward smartwatch

@@@
Think you know what to expect in the emerging category of ? Think again -- the thick, heavy device pictured above is the Halo: a smartwatch that almost has more in common with a traditional timepiece than it does with a smartphone. Lonshine technologies bills the Halo as "the world's first ," meaning that it still relies on the ticking of mechanical quartz movement to keep time. This is a smartwatch that has a real watch face and real hands nestled underneath a transparent touchscreen. If you're wondering "why" (so were we), <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Sale-Purses-Sale-Sale-Handbags-Cheap-Clothing.html>Cheap Gucci Sale</a> the answer is simple: battery life. The may be an attractive, functional wearable, but when its battery runs down it loses the ability to tell time. The Halo doesn't -- its mechanical movement runs on a standard watch battery, and lasts up to three years. Its higher functions are completely separate, almost an afterthought to the device's primary function as a timepiece. Unfortunately, that disharmony shows.

The Halo is a heavy, thick watch that comes in two variants -- an extra thick model (the Halo-2) that features extra batteries in the wrist-band and as well as a slightly slimmer (but still notably large) Bluetooth <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Outlet-Online-Wholesale-Clothing-Handbags-Cheap-Material.html>Gucci Outlet Online</a> model. Both watches run a heavily stripped down version of Android and can be used to make and accept calls and text messages (as as Google Hangouts) and display weather data. The experience is responsive, and overlays the traditional watch nicely, but it's extremely limited. This is a last generation smartwatch embedded within last century's timepiece.
For its faults, the Halo is actually a very novel idea -- by retaining classic watch mechanics, it ensures the wearer will always have at least basic functionality from the wearable, giving it a form of battery life that no other smart wearable on the market can manage. Lonshine technologies says it's looking for partners in the US to help market and distribute the watch, but couldn't say when it will launch. When it does arrive, however, it <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Belts-Sale-Mens-Www-Com-Shoes-Shoes-Men.html>Www Gucci Com Shoes</a> should be somewhere in the $300 price range.

59.58.157.79: Take the time out of homemade beef ragu and pasta

@@@
A true ragu takes time, and time is something in short supply at the start of the new school year.
So I decided to come up with a version that takes the time out of this family-friendly classic, but leaves Christian Louboutin Sale all the deep, rich flavors we want from a sauce as we head into fall. The trick is to start with a tender cut of beef 鈥?in this case sirloin tips 鈥?and finely chop it. It then gets only a quick sear and is added to an already rich tomato-based sauce.
The whole thing comes together in about 40 minutes. I like to serve it over cheese tortellini, but any pasta would be great. Just don t forget the gobs of Parmesan on top.
WEEKNIGHT BEEF RAGU WITH PASTA
Start to finish: 40 minutes

Servings: 6
2 pounds sirloin beef tips, cut into 1-inch chunks

2 tablespoons olive oil, divided

1 tablespoon butter

1 small yellow onion, diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 oil-packed anchovies, mashed with a fork

6-ounce can tomato paste

2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 cup red wine

Salt and ground black pepper

1 pound cooked pasta

Grated Parmesan cheese, to serve
Arrange the sirloin chunks in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large saute pan over medium-high, heat true religion sale 1 tablespoon of the oil and butter. Add the onion, garlic and anchovies and saute until the onions are tender and the anchovies have broken down, about 5 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cook, stirring constantly, until it begins to darken, about another 5 minutes.
Add the cherry tomatoes and vinegar, then stir well and simmer until the tomatoes begin to break down, about 10 minutes.
While the sauce cooks, remove the chilled beef from the freezer. Place it in a food processor, working in batches so as to avoiding overcrowding the bowl, and pulse just until well chopped, but not ground.
In a large skillet over medium-high, heat the remaining tablespoon of Christian Louboutin Shoes UK olive oil. Add the beef and sear, stirring occasionally, just until light browned, about 5 minutes. Add the red wine to the pan to deglaze, stirring to remove any bits from the bottom. Immediately transfer the beef and any liquid in the pan to the saucepan with the tomato sauce. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the sauce over pasta and top with Parmesan.

59.58.157.79: Problem Solved- W.A. Mitchell strengthens ties with furniture retailers

@@@
High-priced, handcrafted furniture wasn t at the top of the must-have list for most consumers when the Great Recession hit in 2008.
The stock market was plummeting, unemployment was rising, banks teetered and credit dried up.
For Dan Maxham, dealing with slumping sales was a new experience. The business, W.A. Mitchell Fine Furniture, had been humming along smoothly since he bought it from founder Arthur Mitchell in 2000. The company s chairs and tables featured clean, Shaker-like lines that were popular with customers and W.A. Mitchell had earned a reputation for quality, backed by a lifetime warranty. Its products appeared in L.L.Bean and Orvis catalogs and in furniture showrooms around New England. A typical dining table and chairs sold for around $5,000.
But furniture sales, high-quality <a href=http://www.symbiose.ca/images/christianlouboutin.gwij.php>Christian Louboutin Sale</a> or otherwise, fell as the recession and financial crisis hit. When it came to putting food on the table, people were more concerned with the food than the quality of the table.
Maxham saw the impact in the showrooms of the furniture retailers he sold to. As sales trickled, large, empty areas of showroom floors grew. <a href=http://www.symbiose.ca/images/christianlouboutin.gwij.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> Store managers were reluctant to buy more inventory that might sit for months before being sold.
Maxham came up with a plan that allowed shoppers to see his products without tying up retailers capital.
We selected about 10 or 11 dealers we felt would survive the recession, he said, and those dealers became preferred dealers.
Preferred meant the retailers were offered furniture on consignment. The retailers didn t have to pay for a piece until it sold; then they paid Maxham and pocketed the markup.
Maxham also made it a practice to help make deliveries to furniture stores in New England, a practice that has continued.
That gets me into the showrooms and I can talk to the salespeople, because they are the ones who really make the sales, he said.
Maxham said the consignment approach ended as sales recovered following the end of the recession, although the preferred dealer designation continues with a list on W.A. Mitchell s website. Now the designation refers to dealers who agree to carry a minimum number of Mitchell pieces.
My sales since then have grown and we ve got some really great relationships, said Maxham, who estimated his annual revenue at less than $1 million. We do a lot of custom work through (the preferred dealers).
Maxham said he added another craftsman in the past year 鈥?he now has eight workers 鈥?<a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php> Christian Louboutin Outlet Online</a> and added a line of outdoor furniture and some bedroom furniture that s been well-received.
Scholl has led the Ball State Cardinals since 2012, during which eight programs have reached the postseason and 13 teams placed either first or second in the Mid-American Conference. Ball State has boasted four All-Americans in each of his two years and the Cardinals placed 54 student-athletes on all-conference teams in 2013-14, a 14.9-percent increase over Scholl鈥檚 first year and a 54.3-percent increase over the year before his arrival.
In his time at Ball State, he also served as chairperson of the Mid-American Conference鈥檚 basketball issues working group and was a member of the conference鈥檚 finance committee. He oversaw a number of on-campus facility upgrades including the renovation of baseball and softball stadiums and the groundbreaking for a new football facility for team meetings and office space.
Under Scholl鈥檚 leadership at Ball State, student-athletes also saw success in <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Handbags-Mens-Clothing-Chain-Bangle-Watch.html>Cheap Gucci Handbags</a> the classroom, with 14 teams scoring better than the national Division I average in the NCAA鈥檚 Academic Progress Report baseline. The men鈥檚 basketball team climbed in its academic standing steadily, posting a 2013 score that is 20 points higher than the national average.
Prior to his term at Ball State, Scholl served 23 years at Notre Dame, where he finished as deputy athletics director. He was responsible for administration of men鈥檚 basketball, football, baseball and men鈥檚 soccer, as well as fundraising and donor relations, budgeting and growing external revenue. Scholl collaborated with the university鈥檚 advancement office to lead the athletics department in an $84 million athletics fundraising initiative for the Spirit of Notre Dame campaign.
Early in his career, Scholl held leadership positions in service-driven organizations. He was the former director of financial <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Outlet-Sunglasses-Cheap-Mens-Wallets-White-Sunglasses.html>Gucci Sunglasses Cheap</a> development for the 1987 International Summer Special Olympic Games. He served in the same position for one year at South Bend鈥檚 Logan Center, which offers services to persons with developmental disabilities. While working for Special Olympics, he raised in excess of $8 million for the 1987 games.
Scholl earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in American studies in 1979 from Notre Dame. He and his wife, Julie, have three children: Michael (a 2009 Notre Dame graduate), Stefanie (a 2012 Ball State graduate) and Kelly (a 2014 Notre Dame graduate).

@@@
ALEXANDRIA, Va. In some ways, Rebecca <a href=http://www.alportico.net/prodotti/christianlouboutin-sale.jkmsw.php>Christian Louboutin Sale</a> Wright doesn't understand all the fuss over her 96-year-old mother's recent marriage. After all, she says, "Anybody who wants to get married must have a little dementia."The courts, though, and some of Wright's other relatives aren't amused. And the future for newlyweds Edith Hill, 96, and Eddie Harrison, 95, is very much uncertain. The two have been companions for more than a decade after a Hollywood-style meet-cute they struck up a conversation while standing in line for lottery tickets, with one of the tickets turning into a $2,500 winner. They married earlier this year, with a 95-year-old church elder presiding over the ceremony, no less."I guess I wanted company," Hill said in an interview, explaining why she married. "I wanted somebody I could help, and they could help me. ... We were both single. My husband was gone. His wife was gone. We became the best of friends."Robin Wright, Hill's granddaughter, said the relationship is more romantic than Hill's explanation allows."You catch them kissing all the time," she said. "They're actually in love. Really in love. ... I know he's part of the reason she gets up every morning."Legally, though, the wedding has been problematic. Hill has been declared legally incapacitated for several years. A judge said at a hearing last month that he believes Wright co-guardian over her mother along with Rebecca Wright's sister who opposed the marriage acted improperly by taking her mother to get married without the court's permission.Cary Cuccinelli, representing the sister who opposed the marriage, Patricia Barber, said at last month's hearing that the wedding occurred without other family members' knowledge, and that it complicated the matter of how to eventually distribute Hill's estate, which includes property on the edge of Old Town Alexandria, worth about $475,000, according to real estate assessments."Legally, Mr. Harrison now has a right to a portion of Ms. Hill's estate," she told the judge, saying it also complicates decisions over who will care for Hill, and where she will live. While the judge, James Clark, found the marriage to have been improper, he also worried that breaking up the couple could "create a circumstance in Ms. Hill's life that she doesn't deserve."Clark ended up removing Wright and Barber as Hill's guardians, and appointing a lawyer, Jessica Niesen, instead. The judge instructed Niesen "to investigate the marriage and take all actions appropriate and reasonable to protect the best interests of Edith Hill."Niesen, in a phone interview, said she is still gathering facts and has an upcoming appointment to meet Hill and Harrison. While there are numerous issues to be sorted out, including questions about inheritance and where the couple will live, she would just as soon let the marriage continue."I see no reason to break this couple up, if there is no harm," she <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php> cheap gucci</a> said. One solution might be a postnuptial agreement preventing Harrison from inheriting Hill's estate.Niesen said that if she finds that the marriage is not in Hill's best interest, she has the authority to pursue a divorce or possibly an annulment on Hill's behalf.Wright said she remained concerned authorities would try to break up the marriage. She also opposes a postnuptial agreement, saying the marriage should be respected just as any other. The interracial aspect of their marriage is unique as well. She is black and he is white. In fact, the longtime Virginians would not have been allowed to marry if they had met in their 20s or 30s or 40s, given Virginia's law banning interracial marriages at the time.Wright says she has concluded after doing some research through Guinness Book of World Records that the two are likely the nation's oldest interracial newlyweds.Edith Hill, for her part, doesn't give the interracial aspect of her marriage too much thought, despite the fact that for half of her life it would have been illegal.Asked about the old laws barring interracial marriage, she said, "That's done away with, isn't it?"For now, the two live together in Annandale, with Rebecca and Robin Wright helping care for them. Rebecca Wright said the two do a good job taking care of each other his hearing is not great, and her vision is <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php>gucci outlet</a> not great. They dance, listen to music and take walks, which has improved their health. And Rebecca Wright said the companionship two people of the same age provide each other can't be underestimated."They can talk about things that nobody else knows about," she said.Eddie Harrison said he and Hill never fight, and they both understood what getting married would mean."The first time I married I didn't know what I was doing," he said. "I was 18. She was 26. Two weeks later I wanted a divorce."

59.58.157.79: Rebels sold Steven Sotloff’s location to ISIS for thousands, family rep says

@@@
Steven Sotloff
(CNN) The family of slain American hostage Steven Sotloff believes ISIS paid as much as $50,000 to rebels who alerted the militant group that the journalist had entered Syria, a spokesman told CNN.
The family had learned from sources on the ground that a member of a moderate rebel group reached out to ISIS, Barak Barfitold told CNN s Anderson Cooper 360 on Monday.
Somebody at the border crossing made a phone call to ISIS, and they set up a fake checkpoint with many people, Barfi said. Steve and his people that he went in with could not escape.
Barfi said the tipster was one of the so-called moderate rebels that people want our administration to support.
So how much was the tip worth?
Sotloff s whereabouts were sold for something between $25- and $50,000, Barfi said.
False accusations
Sotloff, a 31-year-old freelance journalist, disappeared during a reporting trip to Syria in August 2013. Barfi said last saw his friend off the morning he disappeared.
Minutes before he was kidnapped, he called me from inside Syria to tell me that he was in, Barfi said.
Sotloff was supposedly turned over because his name was on a list of people responsible for a hospital bombing, his friend said.
This was false. Activists spread his name around, Barfi told Cooper.
In fact, Steve <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Belts-Sale-Book-Bags-Wallet-Sukey-Tote.html>Gucci Belts Sale</a> loved the Arab and Islamic world, and he wanted to bring their suffering to the world stage, Barfi said. He believed that everybody was created equal, and the people in the Arab and Islamic world weren t terrorists, they were just people like you and me.
Was the beheading preventable?
The gruesome video of an ISIS militant decapitating Sotloff spurred international outrage at ISIS, the Islamist terror group that refers to itself as the Islamic State. The group is trying to establish strict Islamist rule over swaths of Syria and Iraq and has captured cities in <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Sale-Online-Watches-Men-Sport-T-Shirt.html>Gucci Watches Men</a> both countries.
But that video wasn t the first time Sotloff was featured in an ISIS message.
Sotloff appeared in the earlier decapitation video of James Foley, another American journalist who was beheaded by an ISIS militant. In that video, a militant said Sotloff s life depended on what President Barack Obama did next.
Once Steve appeared in that video, the Sotloff family made one simple request of the administration and they were rebuffed on that, Barfi told CNN. He declined to elaborate on the request, citing the safety of those who are still being held hostage.
He said the relationship between the Sotloff family and the White House was very strained.
We do not believe they gave us the cooperation (the family needed), he said.
National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden said the administration is still committed to the cases of Sotloff and Foley.
We understand the very real pain the Sotloff family is feeling at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they grieve Steven s loss, Hayden said.
We condemn the murders of Steven and Jim Foley and we remain committed to bringing the perpetrators of these crimes to justice.
But Barfi also lamented the release of information about an unsuccessful U.S. commando raid this summer that attempted to free Foley, Sotloff and others.
We know that the intelligence community and the White House are enmeshed in a larger game of bureaucratic infighting, and Jim and Steve are pawns in that game. And that s not fair, Barfi said.
If there continues to be leaks, the Sotloff family will have to speak out to set the record straight.
Up to $10 million reward
A group of bipartisan senators introduced a bill Monday that would authorize up to $10 million for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in the Foley <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Sale-San-Francisco-Las-Vegas-Chicago.html>Cheap Gucci Sale</a> and Sotloff abductions and beheadings.
James Foley and Steven Sotloff nobly risked their lives in the pursuit of truth, and the United States will not stand idly by after two of its own were brutally murdered at the hands of fundamentally evil and freedom-hating extremists, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, said in a statement.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-New Hampshire, echoed that sentiment.
James and Steven contributed greatly to the world through their reporting, and we must vigorously pursue those responsible for their murders.

59.58.157.79: Time to bring kidnapped American aid worker Warren Weinstein home

(Photo via BringWarrenHome.com)Related PostsOn Wednesday, August 13,聽the President will probably wake up and go for a run on the beach in Martha鈥檚 Vineyard.
On the same day, somewhere in the hilly region between Pakistan鈥檚 cities and the Afghan border, Warren Weinstein will wake up and wait for his captors to tell him when he can go to the bathroom, what he can eat for breakfast, or whether he will live through the day.
Warren is a development worker 鈥斅爊ot a US government employee or a member of the military. He is one of the thousands of people who decided that their life would be more fulfilling if they <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Louboutin-Pumps-Black>Christian Louboutin Discount</a> dedicated it to helping others. He has spent over 40 years working in places in Africa and South Asia that desperately need people like him.
He hasn鈥檛 asked for comfort or for a big salary. Instead, he and his wife Elaine have raised their two daughters while enduring long periods of time when Warren was overseas, often in less than stable places. They compensated for the distance with postcards that Warren would send and by the daily phone call 鈥斅爏ometimes more than once a day 鈥斅爓hen Warren would talk about something, anything, just to let them hear his voice and know that he was alright.
That all changed on August 13, 2011, when gunmen burst into his home in Lahore, Pakistan, and abducted him. He had been in Pakistan for seven years working on economic development projects. His goal was to work with local partners to give them the resources, skills and training to do better for their families and their community.
He was just four days away from his return to the US. But in just a few days, Warren will have been missing for three years. His family has had to forgo holidays, birthdays and anniversaries 鈥斅爀ven his precious postcards and phone calls. They have only seen him in videos that his captors have produced to show he is still alive, and because of his asthma and heart issues, he does not look good. The family believes he is in North Waziristan 鈥斅爊ear where the Pakistan Army is conducting a major offensive 鈥斅燽ut they don鈥檛 know for sure.
Instead of spending time with their parents as they transitioned into retirement 鈥斅燱arren turned 73 last month 鈥斅燱arren鈥檚 two daughters, along with his wife, have had to learn about Washington <a href=http://www.radiorcs.com/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Logan-Glitter>Jimmy Choo Logan Glitter</a> the hard way. These are not connected people with money or powerful friendships.
This is a development worker鈥檚 family 鈥斅爋rdinary people, the kind of people who need a government that knows how to help them when they are most in need. They have had to figure out how one connects with the parts of government that are supposed to help in such circumstances and realized that it does not work the way one might hope. They have had to learn about the geopolitics of the US-Pakistan bilateral relationship, when all they want is their father back.
They have had to find the right ways to speak directly to the American people and to the people of Pakistan. But still, another anniversary is coming up, and Warren is not home. They have had to learn about how to appear in the media, how to walk the halls of Congress, and how to know when a meeting is just a meeting or when it is an opportunity <a href=http://www.radiorcs.com/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Red-Wallet>Kate Spade Red Wallet</a> to help their father.
One saving grace has been the support they have gotten from Maryland鈥檚 U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Barbara Mikulski and from their congressman, Representative John Delaney. All three have voiced their concern to the Administration, and all three have co-sponsored resolutions in their respective houses of Congress calling on the Administration and the Government of Pakistan to do more. But what is really needed is a cooperative effort between the US and Pakistan to bring this nightmare to an end for the Weinstein family.
When announced that he was authorizing US military air strikes against the terrorist group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), he said: 鈥淲hen the lives of American citizens are at risk, we will take action. That is my responsibility as Commander-in-Chief.鈥?As Warren Weinstein prepares for his third year in captivity, we, like him, Mr. President, are holding you to your word.

It鈥檚 time to home.

Judges can keep relatives on their payrollsEthics committee finding benefits two Northampton County jurists <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Michael-Kors-Belts-For-Women>Michael Kors Belts For Women</a> who employ family members.Emil Giordano (Left), Michael Koury (Right) (CONTRIBUTED )April 19, 2014|By Riley Yates, Of The Morning CallCome July, Pennsylvania judges can no longer hire relatives under heralded new rules that bring the state in line with the rest of the nation.Though nepotism is being barred from the courts, don't expect to see judges' family members taken off the payroll. While Pennsylvania's new judicial canons mandate that judges "shall avoid nepotism," current employees can continue to hold their posts, according to the state Judicial Ethics Committee, a panel of jurists that advises colleagues on ethical questions. In confidential opinions to judges with relatives working for them, the committee found that the anti-nepotism provision isn't retroactive a conclusion that spares judges like Northampton County's Emil Giordano and Michael Koury Jr. from having to tell their family members that they no longer have a job.Giordano's mother-in-law, Anna Goldfeder, and Koury's uncle, Anthony Koury, work for them as court officers, a position with part-time hours and full-time benefits that paid each more than $20,000 last year.A review by The Morning Call in September found Giordano and Koury were among three judges in the six-county area with family members working for them, with Montgomery County Judge Gary Silow employing his wife, Mary, as his secretary, a $53,775-a-year position. The ethics committee's interpretation, provided anonymously to The Morning Call, is being criticized by court-reform activists as a step backward for a court system trying to rebuild its battered reputation. The committee's finding was welcomed by Giordano and Koury, who have defended their relatives as qualified, reliable and trustworthy."It shows that the hiring of that employee was legal and appropriate, her employment was legal and appropriate and her continued employment is legal and appropriate," said Giordano, who sought the panel's advice in January, eight days after the new rules were unveiled by the state Supreme Court.Goldfeder "does her job very well," Giordano said last week. "I have numerous letters from numerous jurors over the years complimenting how well my courtroom is run."By finding that the rules do not apply retroactively to such hires, the committee's conclusion slows what could prove to be a sea change in the way the judiciary does business. Employing family members <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Christian-Louboutin-Shoe>Christian Louboutin Shoe</a> is by no means unheard of in the courts, unlike in some other public sectors, and critics say it is a throwback to a best-forgotten era when family connections meant more than merit.Tim Potts, a good-government activist well known at the Capitol in Harrisburg, said "it's about time" the courts banned nepotism, but allowing judges' relatives to stay on indefinitely guts the new rules."That doesn't solve the problem that the policy is intending to solve," said Potts, a co-founder of the reform group Democracy Rising PA. "There's no point in having a no-nepotism policy if you're going to allow nepotism to exist."Last year, disgraced former state Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie Melvin was sentenced to house arrest, as was her sister and former secretary, Janine Orie, after being convicted of using state-paid staff to run her campaigns for office in 2003 <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Michael-Kors-Watch-White>Michael Kors Watch White</a> and 2009.Another justice, Seamus McCaffery, came under criticism for the referral fees that his wife his top judicial aide received from law firms she connected clients to, including one for $821,000.The new rules, which take effect July 1, mandate that administrative appointments be based on merit, with judges now required to "avoid nepotism," along with favoritism and unnecessary appointments. The language brings the state on par with courts across the country, with only Pennsylvania, Michigan and Oregon having judicial canons that were silent on nepotism, according to The Morning Call's September review. The change was part of an overhaul of Pennsylvania's outdated canons, the code that governs judges' behavior. In announcing the new requirements, the Supreme Court didn't address whether the ban would affect current employees, with Chief Justice Ronald Castille at the time saying that required "further discussing.""That's going to have to work itself out," said Castille, whose wife is his top aide, though he has noted that she worked for the court before they were married and that he didn't hire her.The ethics committee's findings are nonbinding but carry significant weight. Judges who have received advisory opinions can point to that advice if they later are accused of wrongdoing, to show that they acted with the committee's blessing. The nepotism provision was considered by the entire committee at its February meeting, according to the opinion given to Giordano and obtained by The Morning Call. The panel found that the ban on hiring family members addresses only "future action" and not "appointments and decisions already made."1 | | Featured ArticlesMore:

@@@
LIMA, Peru (AP) -- Peruvian police investigators and a deputy minister met Tuesday with widows of four slain indigenous leaders who had resisted a steady onslaught by illegal loggers in their remote Amazon jungle homeland. The Ashaninka community's slain leader, Edwin Chota, had for years led efforts to obtain titles to its traditional lands near Brazil's border. He constantly confronted the loggers who strip the region's river basins of prized hardwoods, especially mahogany and cedar.Tribal authorities say they suspected illegal loggers in the killings, and described an intensified climate of fear.Pervasive corruption lets the illegal loggers operate unhindered in the region, and environmentalists said they only hope the death of Chota and the three others will be a catalyst for reform."We'll see what we can do to change this horrible tragedy into hopefully a small victory for indigenous rights and environmental justice," said David Salisbury, a professor at the University of Richmond who was advising Chota on the title quest and had known him for a decade.Peru's deputy minister of intercultural affairs, Patricia Balbuena, told The Associated Press from Pucallpa, the <a href=http://www.alportico.net/gosoc.php> true religion sale</a> Ucayali state regional capital, after meeting with the widows that she was organizing helicopter transport to the region on Wednesday so police could investigate and retrieve the bodies. The four men were killed Sept. 1 after leaving Saweto, their village on the Upper Tamaya river, to hike to the sister Brazilian Ashaninka community of Apiwtxa, said the village schoolteacher, Maria Elena Paredes. When the men did not show at Apiwtxa, worried comrades who had traveled ahead of them returned and found the bodies <a href=http://www.alportico.net/prodotti/christianlouboutin-sale.jkmsw.php>Cheap Christian Louboutin</a> -- apparently killed by shotgun blasts -- near some shacks on the Putaya river, Paredes said. She said by phone that vultures had begun to feed on the bodies, which were found a six-hour walk from the 45-inhabitant village.Paredes said no villagers had seen the killers.Chota's campaigning for title to his community territory had emboldened other settlements along the Tamaya to similar seek legal claim to traditional lands, said Reyder Sebastian, a regional Ashaninka leader. Now, he said, people in those settlements fear for their lives."The community has always and continues to be threatened by the big loggers," said Paredes, who arrived in Pucallpa on Monday night with the widows and children of the slain men after a three-day boat journey."When you see your strongest leaders murdered I can only imagine the feeling of impotence," said Julia Urrunaga, country director for the nonprofit Environmental Investigations Agency, which has researched Peru's troubled forest concession system.Balbuena said she would propose putting a police post in the region. Communities in Peru's vast jungles are essentially lawless, the nearest police stationed often days away. After receiving death threats, Chota would sometimes flee to Apiwtxa for refuge. The country's main indigenous federation, AIDESEP, issued a statement Monday expressing outrage at police and the judiciary for "doing absolutely nothing despite repeated complaints" to protect the slain men -- who it said had joined "the long list of martyrs who fell in defense of their ancestral lands."The Ashaninkas are Peru's leading Amazon ethnic group and Sebastian said violence against them has risen since they began agitating for titles to their territories.Chota, who was in his early 50s, had written more than 100 letters to state institutions about illegal logging and titling efforts in Ucayali, said Salisbury, "and he was an incredibly dynamic and charismatic leader who gave hope to not just his community but many others by his courage and convictions."The wood from a single old-growth mahogany tree can fetch more than $11,000 on the U.S. lumber market, the Environmental Investigation Agency said in a <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/guccioutlet.onlinesalecc.php>Gucci Shoes</a> 2012 report.___Frank Bajak on Twitter: Copyright The Associated Press. Aircraft maker <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/wdluk.php>Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale</a> Boeing announced today it plans to do something that seems to have baffled the industry for decades:聽Make overhead luggage bins that fit standard carry-on bags on their sides.
The revamped overhead bins 鈥?dubbed Space Bins 鈥?will be an option for orders of new 鈥淣ext-Generation 737s and 737 MAX airplanes鈥?starting in 2015. The back of the bin will be tall enough to accommodate a bag 22-inches tall and 14-inches wide on its side. Most standard luggage bins on full-size planes are about 15-inches tall but are shorter at the back.聽Each of the larger Space Bins will stow six bags (22 X 14 X 9 inches), instead of the four that fit when set on their backs in the current 鈥減ivot bins.鈥?
Alaska Airlines said it will begin installing Space Bins on all new deliveries as soon as the larger bins become available in late 2015.
鈥淎laska聽is committed to making flying a hassle-free and comfortable experience,鈥?said聽Mark Eliasen, Alaska Airlines treasurer and vice president of finance, in a published statement released by Boeing. 鈥淭he additional storage space will allow our customers to keep their <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/guccioutlet.onlinesalecc.php>Gucci Outlet</a> personal items with them in the cabin, which we think they will enjoy.鈥?
Boeing says the Space Bins will hold a total of 194 bags, compared to the 132 bags that fit in the pivot bins.聽The six bags per bin, however, is based on standard luggage that is 9-inches deep. While the great majority of carry-on luggage in the United States is manufactured to that size, passengers tend to overpack bags that have flexibility, as well as pack the outside pockets, making those bags closer to 12-15 inches 鈥斅爏omething we鈥檝e <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php>gucci outlet</a> covered extensively in recent weeks with the .

59.58.157.79: ‘Girlfriend Intervention’ is a terrible show

(Photo via Lifetime)Related PostsLifetime channel premiered its latest show, Girlfriend Intervention last night, and it lived up to all the side-eyes people were already giving it. The show takes a white woman who feels downtrodden about her look and her life and connects her to four fairy black girlfriends.
The four are Nikki Chu (interior designer), Tracy Balan (hairstylist and makeup artist), Tiffiny Young (stylist) and Tanisha Thomas (soul coach).
The show鈥檚 tagline is Trapped inside of every white girl is a strong black woman ready to bust out.
Let me find out that our souls have been kidnapped by unaware white women. Let me find out!
Girlfriend Intervention doesn鈥檛 even try to act like it鈥檚 not a show that places the womanhood of Black and white women on some <a href=http://www.alportico.net/page.php?sale=Gucci-Bag-Outlet>Gucci Bag Outlet</a> sort of scale. That in itself is insulting to every聽woman because it鈥檚 defining our behavior by our skin color.
The show鈥檚 message is that every white woman needs a black girlfriend (or 4) to set her straight. Also: white women need paid guidance counselors. Oh and Black women are confident robots who put style above everything else.
One of the biggest problems with the show is Tanisha, and that鈥檚 because she鈥檚 created a reputation for herself for being every bad about Black women. The woman of Bad Girls Club infamy is in no position to be anyone鈥檚 Iyanla Vanzant.
On the show, she epitomizes every bit of the loud, neck-swerving, sassy black woman, and she takes her 鈥渏ob鈥?very seriously. She鈥檚 also the expert in the Black woman experience, apparently.
In the first 10 minutes of the show, the following lines are uttered by Tanisha:
Joanie is married to a FINE Black man. A Black woman would never let herself go with a man like that.
With Caucasian women, everyone is really afraid to say how they really feel.
There is not a sister on this earth who ll miss a red carpet event because she feels fat. That s a white girl problem.
The other women weren鈥檛 much better in what they were saying. Tanisha was just the loudest. The girl lacks an inside voice, but it also makes her words more noticeable. One of them (Tiffiny) even mentioned how white women aren鈥檛 happy unless they鈥檙e a size 2.
Holy sweeping statement, Batman! The show was full of it.
It was also full of tired and <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Michael-Kors-T-Shirts>Michael Kors Outlet</a> outdated phrases like YOU GO, GIRL! GET YOUR GROOVE BACK, SISTER!!! YES, GIRLFRIEND! I wanted to slide out my chair onto the carpet because it took itself so seriously but was so comedic that it seemed like satire.
I was sure Ashton Kutcher was going to jump out and be like 鈥淵ou鈥檝e been Punk鈥檇! This isn鈥檛 a real show but a skit on .鈥?
But nay. Joanie was given a terrible makeover where the hairstylist just weaved her up, her home was decorated like an IKEA store threw up and she wore her own clothes mostly. Her 鈥渟oul鈥?was fixed by going to a salsa class (she used to be a dancer. Yes, to them this made sense). And at the end, the ladies assured her that she now had 4 sisters, and 鈥測ou know what they say once you go Black, you can t go back.
I wish I was making this stuff up. Girlfriend Intervention had to be produced by clueless white producers who didn鈥檛 have a person of color to tell them to have a seat because this show is offensive for many reasons.
One of those is that they have 4 Black women who are trying to fix someone鈥檚 life and none of them can fix their own hair to look right. Chile, BYE.
Lifetime didn鈥檛 just jump the shark. They somersaulted off the cliff into the shark鈥檚 mouth. I didn t watch BAPS, and I heard that was bad, but Girlfriend Interventions is definitely a mess too. It is not worth watching, and I predict that it won鈥檛 be on air for long.

@@@
An outbreak of a rare respiratory virus continues to sicken children in the St. Louis area, causing heavy traffic in emergency rooms and intensive care units.Nearly 800 kids have tested positive for a respiratory rhinovirus or enterovirus at St. Louis Children鈥檚 Hospital this year, most since cheap gucci the beginning of August. The hospital lab鈥檚 more detailed testing on a sampling of specimens turned up the specific strain enterovirus 68, a rare virus that can cause severe symptoms in children, including coughing, wheezing and fever.Hospitals with similar outbreaks in Kansas City and Chicago last month sent specimens to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which determined that most of the illnesses there were also caused by enterovirus 68. More than half of the sickened children had a history of asthma or wheezing. So far, hospitals in 12 Midwestern states, including Missouri and Illinois, have reached out to the CDC for help in identifying the virus.鈥淚t isn鈥檛 a new virus but it is fairly uncommon, and we don鈥檛 know as much about it,鈥?said Dr. Anne Schuchat, director of the CDC鈥檚 national center for immunization and respiratory diseases, in a conference call Monday with reporters. 鈥淚t鈥檚 too early to say how long it will go, how widespread it will be.鈥滵isease investigators at the CDC said the situation is evolving, and they don鈥檛 know how many people have been infected. State health departments in Missouri and Illinois have issued health alerts to warn doctors of potential illnesses. The number of cases declined in the first week of September at St. Louis Children鈥檚, which had 154 positive tests of rhinoviruses and enteroviruses last week, compared to more than 180 in the last week of August. There were about 70 cases in early September last year.Dr. Gary Albers, co-director of the asthma center at Cardinal Glennon Children鈥檚 Medical Center, said the hospital has stayed very busy, with a 50 percent increase in emergency room volume compared to the average for this time of year.鈥淭he day-to-day admissions have been a little more variable but overall the numbers seem to be staying up,鈥?Albers said. 鈥淲e have no pattern right now to suggest that we鈥檙e past the peak.鈥漈here are hundreds of types of enteroviruses and rhinoviruses, including the common cold. The illnesses can cause fever and rash as Christian Louboutin Outlet Online well as respiratory symptoms. Most adults have mild or no symptoms, but the illness can be more serious in infants, children and michael kors outlet teenagers. In rare cases of enteroviruses, neurological complications including meningitis and paralysis can develop. There have been no deaths reported in the latest outbreak.Disease experts believe enterovirus 68 is spread through contact with saliva and mucus from an infected person. There is no vaccine or specific treatment for the virus. Some of the children who have been hospitalized have required ventilators to help them breathe, while others have been successfully treated with oxygen and asthma medications. The virus does not seem to be infecting adults, and the country has not seen an overall uptick in health care visits for flu-related symptoms. Health officials recommend good hand-washing habits and coughing or sneezing into the elbow as preventive measures. Children with asthma should continue taking their medications. There are other less serious respiratory viruses circulating in the area, but if a child has trouble breathing, parents should seek medical attention.鈥淭his can be a scary thing to hear about for parents, (but) most of the runny noses out there are not going to be turning into this,鈥?said Schuchat of the CDC.

The Golden State Warriors have been active in pursuing free agents this offseason, acquiring Brandon Rush and Shaun Livingston to add major pieces to their bench. The Warriors trend continued this week when they signed聽free agents Aaron Craft, James Michael McAdoo, and Mitchell Watt, all of whom played for the Warriors Vegas Summer League team. A recent report also revealed that the Warriors have agreed to a deal <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Michael-Kors-Jackets-Men>Cheap Michael Kors Online</a> with free agent Leandro Barbosa, a former Sixth Man of the Year. Here s a look at what each of them can bring to the team:
Aaron Craft
聽Craft went undrafted in this year s draft, but demonstrated a high level of maturity and defensive acumen during his four years as point guard at Ohio State. As a member of the Warriors Summer League team, Craft was praised by the coaching staff for many of his intangibles, including his attitude. While Craft has yet to develop an outside shot and struggles offensively, he s an excellent defensive point guard and could make for an interesting option off the bench for the Warriors.
James Michael McAdoo
聽McAdoo, like Craft, went undrafted this year after playing three years at UNC. During this year s Vegas Summer League, McAdoo averaged nine points, five rebounds, and a block per game. In McAdoo, the Warriors will have an athletic forward who s lightning quick and thrives in transition. <a href=http://www.radiorcs.com/page.php?sale=Discount-Kate-Spade-Bags>Discount Kate Spade Bags</a> McAdoo will need to improve his mid-range game, however, if he hopes to be a real threat in the NBA and earn some playing time from聽the Warriors current聽forwards.
Mitchell Watt
Unlike McAdoo and Craft, Watt has professional basketball experience, having spent the last two years playing in Isreal after going undrafted in 2012. At 6-foot-9, Watt can play minutes at forward positions, as well as the occasional <a href=http://www.alportico.net/page.php?sale=True-Religion-Jogging-Suits>True Religion Jogging Suits</a> stint at center. He s fairly versatile offensively, with a decent shooting touch and the ability to score with his back to the basket. However, Watt was a late bloomer and played against relatively weak competition during college. The Warriors veteran coaching staff should help him in his adjustment to the NBA.
Leandro Barbosa
A former Sixth Man of the Year on the Nash-led Phoenix聽Suns, Barbosa is a proven commodity in the NBA. He s a career 39 percent three-point shooter and will add depth to the Warriors at the guard positions. Because聽Barbosa split his time between Brazil and the NBA last season, he was used sparingly on the Suns.聽

@@@
The BAA鈥檚 board of directors Saturday approved making the offer to Baylor, though the group鈥檚 president, Keith Starr, declined to discuss the terms of the proposed settlement.
Starr said the announcement is meant to signal to BAA members and Baylor that the group still is actively working toward achieving a harmonious relationship with the university.
鈥淲e鈥檙e going to take one last chance at peace, that鈥檚 what we鈥檙e doing,鈥?Starr said.
Starr, who is not related to Baylor President Ken Starr, said the terms are different from conditions discussed by the BAA and regents this summer as the two sides sought a resolution to avoid going to court.
Baylor sued the alumni association in June to stop the group from using the university鈥檚 name and registered marks and is seeking to bar the group from continuing its alumni outreach activities.
Baylor moved to terminate its licensing rights with the BAA last fall after an attempt to merge the group鈥檚 operations with Baylor鈥檚 own alumni network activities failed to gain sufficient support from BAA members.
After those negotiations this summer failed to <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Belts-Sale-Leather-Bag-Handbag-Sale-Outlet.html>Handbag Gucci</a> produce a resolution, the BAA filed a counterclaim last month seeking a judgment ordering Baylor to continue upholding its obligations under the official recognition agreement that established the association as the university鈥檚 official alumni organization.
The BAA also wants a ruling preventing the university from continuing with its Baylor Alumni Network, which BAA leaders have said was created in 2002 to thwart the alumni association鈥檚 activities.
Starr said the BAA鈥檚 attorneys have not yet sent the settlement terms to Baylor leaders, though he expects that will happen later this week. He did not know the deadline for Baylor to respond to the offer.
Starr said <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Outlet-Online-Money-Clip-Mens-Jacket-Mens-Jeans.html>Gucci Mens Jacket</a> if the regents approve the settlement as written, it will be sent to the BAA鈥檚 full membership for a vote to go into effect. If the regents reject the offer, Starr said the BAA is prepared to continue with the litigation.
Baylor spokeswoman Lori Fogleman said in a statement that the university was not aware of any terms of the proposed settlement.
鈥淭here is no question that Baylor is firing on every cylinder, and alumni worldwide are coming alongside the university in record numbers and in a multitude of ways to help fuel the upward trajectory of their alma mater,鈥?Fogleman said. 鈥淲e look forward to receiving the proposal, and we hope that it reflects the sentiment of the majority of Baylor alumni who are actively partnering with the university in this period of unparalleled progress.鈥?

The Love for Wiggins trade should be finalized tomorrow, and even though it hasn't happened yet, I am over it already. When were engaged with Flip on a potential Taj-and-stuff for Kevin deal I wept and prayed, but now that the crisis is passed I can be my objective self again.
I am not a Love hater, he has had some solid seasons with the Wolves, but c'mon already. He has not been able to get to the playoffs for 6 years, what is that about? Haberstroh wrote about how it's NO LOVE'S FAULT, that he just didn't have good enough teammates. Nobody but Kevin has gone through the last six years without a teammate with at least a 7.0 WARP for Chrissake! Not even Jo, who had Jimmy with a 7.1 (and according to Haberstroh if Jimmy can get a 7.1 you know that is bottom of the barrel <a href=http://www.alportico.net/page.php?sale=Gucci-Headband>Gucci Headband</a> in WARP ratings, that's for sure),
So now I am thinking that Haberstroh must be right. Poor Kevin, NOBODY can be expected to win with those sub-7.0 D-leaguers he's been stuck with, right? I mean, how many teams could make the playoffs without two guys with at least 7.0 WARPs?
The answer is 5. There were 5 teams last year that made the playoffs without 2 guys with plus 7 WARPs. AND the only had one player over 7 WARP, and THEY finished better than the Wolves. Here is the list:
: Williams 5.4, Pierce 5.2, Johnson 4.9
: Jefferson 7.8, McRoberts 6.5, Walker 5.1
: Milsap 6.7, Korver 5.9, Carroll 5.8
: Conley 8.2, Randolph 6.4, Gasol 5.6
Mavs: Nowitski 10.9, Calderon 6.3, Wright 5.1 (Yes, was their 3rd best WARP!)
Suns: Dragic 10.3, , 6.4, Tucker/Green 6.1
Wolves: Love 14.3, Rubio 5.9, Pekovic 5.9
So apparently it's not that hard. If Al Jefferson can lead the Hornets to the playoffs with as his wingman, can you really feel sorry for ? (But Love is in the WEST, not the East, you say. Well Dirk made the playoffs with Calderon and Brandon Fucking Wright, didn't he? Would you really rather have those two than Rubio and Pek? Didn't think so.)
Still that's just 1 year and those 5 teams may be flukes. If you look at QUALITY players over the history of the league, surely there are some who <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Designer-Tory-Burch>Designer Tory Burch</a> have been as inept as Love at getting their team to the playoffs, right?
The answer to that is YES, If you look at the (you can look at more than that if you want but 50 is a lot) there are a few who rival Love in terms of not making the playoffs. Dave Bing missed 5 of his first 6 playoffs, before making 4 in a row, Dave DeBusschere missed 4 of his first 5 before making 8 in a row, and Pete Maravich made his first 3, then missed 6 in a row before finishing his career with a playoff appearance. So these three players are the most similar to Love. I guess if I was Love I would want to be Pistol Pete over the two Daves, he could shoot the daylights out of the ball. Probably the better comps though are Bing and DeBusschere. I would enjoy a good debate on who is better, Love or DeBusschere.
(The only other guys in the top 50 that missed the playoffs at least 4 years in a row were Walt Frazier (5), Moses Malone (4), Bill Walton (4) and Lenny Wilkens (7). All but Walton finished their careers with their non-playoff strings, as they faded out. Most of Wilkens' string was as a player-coach. Walton's 4 years were in the middle of his career when he was <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Flat-Shoes>Tory Burch Flat Shoes</a> hobbled.)
Anyway, to summarize:
1. If I am going to spend 2 hours looking up stats on basketball-reference, at least I an going to post them,
2. Tom Haberstroh is an ass,
3. Anybody who plays with LeBron will make the playoffs, but so what.

59.58.157.79: ALEXANDRIA, Va.- Marriage of newlyweds, ages 96 and 95, questioned_0

@@@
ALEXANDRIA, Va. In some ways, Rebecca Wright doesn't understand all the fuss over her 96-year-old mother's recent marriage. They married earlier this year, <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors sale</a> with a 95-year-old church elder presiding over the ceremony, no less."I guess I wanted company," Hill said in an interview, explaining why she married. The judge instructed Niesen "to investigate <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php> Christian Louboutin Outlet Online</a> the marriage and take all actions appropriate and reasonable to protect the best interests of Edith Hill."Niesen, in a phone interview, said she is still gathering facts and has an upcoming appointment to meet Hill and Harrison. While there are numerous issues to be sorted out, including questions about inheritance and where the couple will live, she would just as soon let the marriage continue."I see no reason to break this couple up, if there is no harm," she said. Rebecca Wright said the two do a good job taking care of each other his hearing is not great, and her vision is not great. They dance, listen to music and take walks, which has improved their health. And Rebecca Wright said the companionship two people of the same age provide each other can't be underestimated."They can talk about things that nobody else knows about," she said.Eddie Harrison said he and Hill <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors bags</a> never fight, and they both understood what getting married would mean."The first time I married I didn't know what I was doing," he said. "I was 18. She was 26. Two weeks later I wanted a divorce."

President Barack Obama <a href=http://www.alportico.net/prodotti/christianlouboutin-sale.jkmsw.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> on Wednesday promised to take the fight to the terrorist organization that beheaded two American journalists and degrade and destroy it. Yet Obama has not approved U.S. airstrikes against Islamic State forces in Syria and remains opposed to the redeployment of U.S. combat troops in Iraq (although he has ordered airstrikes in that country and has increased the number of troops guarding U.S. facilities there). Is there a mismatch between the president s words and deeds? Not if you read the fine print of what he has been saying about Islamic State. For example, in a news conference last week Obama said the organization poses an immediate threat to the people of Iraq and to people throughout the region. But he went on to outline a broader, comprehensive strategy that included regional partnerships and efforts to press Iraq to form an inclusive government that would reach out to disaffected Sunnis who have embraced Islamic State. And while he acknowledged that the Pentagon was preparing a range of options presumably including airstrikes in Syria Obama indicated that he was still weighing which, if any, to embrace.Given the gravity of direct U.S. involvement in Syria s many-sided civil war, such careful deliberation is responsible. Unfortunately, Obama expressed himself inartfully, saying, We don t have a strategy yet. He was actually referring to specific tactical decisions that lie in the future, but <a href=http://www.symbiose.ca/images/christianlouboutin.gwij.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> it sounded as if he hadn t given any thought to the threat posed by Islamic State. The soundbite was a gift to his critics. But if the line about lacking a strategy created one misimpression, Obama s comments Wednesday in response to the beheading of freelance reporter Steven Sotloff could foster another: that the U.S. is about to wage total war on the organization. The beheadings of Sotloff and fellow journalist James Foley were barbaric acts that have rightly made wanted men of the perpetrators. But there is a difference between avenging their deaths or using air power to rescue trapped refugees, as the U.S. did last month and undertaking a military <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/wdluk.php>Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale</a> operation to degrade and destroy a group that might be neutralized without such a commitment.Obama outlined a broader, comprehensive strategy' on Syria that included regional partnershipsIs there a mismatch between the president s words and deeds on Syria? Not really.
DeBelle, business manager.A reader contest was involved in the naming of the newspaper when, in late 1894, the company said that a school boy or girl in Lehigh County would receive $5 in gold if he or she could guess the publication's new name. The identity of the lucky winner is <a href=http://www.radiorcs.com/page.php?sale=Kate-Spade-Green-Wallet>Kate Spade Outlet Online</a> lost to history, but on Jan. 1, 1895, Allentown City Treasurer A.L. Miller and his brother Samuel Miller were able to purchase their first shares of The Morning Call. It was the start of a series of stock buyouts that would leave the newspaper entirely in the hands of the Miller brothers by 1904. In that nine-year period, the Miller brothers worked to gather subscribers. In one case, David A. Miller even attended a corn husking party and had every family there signed up by the time he left. By 1920,&nbsp;World War I&nbsp;and the work of the Millers had raised circulation to 20,000. A series of newspaper mergers that year, funded by Gen.&nbsp;Harry Clay Trexler, led to the Millers' sale of The Morning Call to the Trexler interests. <a href=http://www.alportico.net/page.php?sale=True-Religion-For-Kids-On-Sale>True Religion For Kids On Sale</a> It was only after Trexler's death in 1933, and at the urging of David A. In 1935 The Morning Call acquired the sole remaining Allentown newspaper, The Chronicle and News, and renamed it the Evening Chronicle. In 1938 the Sunday Call-Chronicle was first published.

59.58.157.79: Dolphin inspires reluctant 7

@@@
PHOENIX, AZ () Inspiration can come in all forms, even in the body of a little dolphin with a special tail.
Fernanda Rubio, who is only 7, walks and even runs in her pink prosthetics she calls stubbies.
I can walk, she said as she made her way down the aisles of a Valley library.
But it wasn t long ago that even the thought of putting on prosthetics would bring about tears.
She was with them for a year, she kept crying, Fernanda s mother, Edith Rubio, said. She didn t want them. She kept crying.
Fernanda s original prosthetics were tall and made it hard for her to balance.
I was scared, she said in a quiet voice.
But one day she and her parents watched the movie Dolphin Tale, a storyabout a dolphin named Winter who needed a prosthetic tale to get around.

He has a prosthetic leg, like me, Fernanda said as she wiggled the tale of a stuffed Winter.
She <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/anel.php>Cheap Christian Louboutin Shoes</a> was very excited that there was a dolphin just like her that was using a prosthetic leg, her father, Julio Rubio, said. So that encouraged her to use her prosthetics.
In fact, the Rubios contacted the same company that made Winter s prosthetic tail, and that company developed Fernanda s shorter, more stylish legs.
They even arranged for Fernanda to go to a <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php>gucci outlet</a> special camp in Florida called No Limits, where she got to hang out with other kids like her.
She even got to meet and touch her inspiration, the real Winter.
And I touched his tail, she said through a wide grin. I gave him a high five.
The story would be amazing enough if it ended there, but the day Fernanda was with Winter, the film crew for Dolphin Tale 2 was there, as well, and now Fernanda is going to have a guest spot in the movie.
She didn t even notice the cameras in there, nothing, her mother said. She was just focusing on Winter and all her friends were there so she was so happy to do that.
Yeah, she thinks she s a movie star, Julio Rubio said.
One thing is for sure, Fernanda is more confident around her classmates, her parents said.
That was evident as she celebrated her birthday with her class and joined in on the fun.
Fernanda, you know, she has gone through a lot, but she is a very brave little girl, Julio Rubio said. Today, she turns 7, and it s her birthday, and she s just a really happy person, a very happy little girl.
A day of celebration it was. And, of course, there were the traditional items.
I m getting presents, Fernanda said.
So proud of her, Edith Rubio said. Because we waited so long, it was two years after she d been sick, we thought she <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php> cheap gucci</a> was not going to walk. Now seeing her with new prosthetics and balancing and trying to walk, it was so exciting for us.
Dolphin Tale 2 opens Friday, and the whole Rubio family will be front and center for her starring scene.
And camp No Limits is coming to Arizona in March.

Related PostsThe Ice Bucket Challenge has taken over the Internet the last聽several聽weeks.
It鈥檚 to raise awareness about the debilitating Lou Gehrig鈥檚 disease (aka amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS) and raise money for the ALS Foundation.
You either dump icy water on yourself or you donate $100 to the ALS Association, and you tag friends to do the challenge. The viral challenge has raised over $25 million for the charity, which is great. Celebrities like Oprah, , Will Smith and other A-listers have all done it.
Some people, however, don鈥檛 feel like caring about the Ice Bucket Challenge when there鈥檚 a warzone happening in Ferguson, Missouri.
After Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen, was gunned down in broad daylight by <a href=http://www.radiorcs.com/page.php?sale=Jimmy-Choo-Shoes-For-Women>Jimmy Choo Shoes For Women</a> a cop who felt threatened, people have taken to the streets to protest. Ferguson police have handled this by using tear gas on protesters, people with rubber bullets and arresting media for documenting what is happening.
Thankfully, it seems a relative sense of calm is returning the past few nights. It was certainly chaos before Wednesday.
So I do understand why some people are not here for the challenge, even though it is still a valuable cause. Actor Orlando Jones decided to do a challenge of his own, called the 鈥淏ullet Bucket Challenge.鈥?He wants to raise awareness about 鈥渁 very serious disease.鈥?
In the , he takes a bucket, turns it upside down and bullets fall on his head.
Orlando acknowledges the value of the Ice Bucket Challenge and says he鈥檒l donate to the cause. However, he wants to highlight the issue of gun violence and calls out the problem of militarizing police forces. What is happening in Ferguson is racism at <a href=http://www.alportico.net/page.php?sale=Black-Gucci-Backpack>Black Gucci Backpack</a> its worst, and it鈥檚 a human rights issue.
He calls it the Bullet Bucket Challenge but it鈥檚 not really a challenge as much as it鈥檚 a statement. I think it鈥檚 a powerful one too, especially since he鈥檚 a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Could he have gone further? Yes, but the video does what it needs to, and that is to speak up.
As far too many celebrities and people of influence remain silent about the continued devaluation of Black lives, it鈥檚 a breath of fresh air to see someone speak truth to power. So salute to Orlando Jones. And Jesse Williams. And Talib Kweli. And Lauryn Hill. .
About the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? Well I鈥檓 not participating in it for my own reasons, and that doesn鈥檛 mean I don鈥檛 think <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Michael-Kors-Home>Michael Kors Discount</a> it鈥檚 worthwhile. However, like Samantha Irby asks 鈥淲hat can we dump on our heads to save Black people?鈥?I wish I knew, but it鈥檚 not ice.
The state hasn鈥檛 received any notification from the administrators whether they would file for a bankruptcy extension to keep the facility open, Gale said.
Occupational hazard, I suppose, but I often get accused of anthropomorphism. That being said, Martha was of a species whose nesting grounds were so massive that one colony covered an expanse of land almost 40 times the size of Manhattan. It occurs to <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/anel.php> Christian Louboutin Shoes UK</a> me, admittedly a few days late, that the 100 year anniversary of the death of this lone, last survivor should not go unnoticed.
Passenger pigeons went from a population of billions to <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/gucciusaonlineoutlet.php> cheap gucci</a> zero in a matter of decades. They were hunted out of existence for their meat, their feathers, and just for the sheer joy of shooting lead into the sky to produce a corpse.

59.58.157.79: Nest Learning Thermostat gets refreshed with a slimmer design, improved scheduling features

@@@
All told, Nest says the second-gen thermostat is 20 percent thinner than the original. Take a look at our hands-on photos and you'll notice some more subtle changes: the band is now made entirely of stainless steel, with no plastic bits. And whereas there used to be a grille on the front face, the sensors are now hidden under transparent plastic, making for an even less cluttered design. The back plate, <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Discount-Authentic-Outlet-Wear-Old-Watches.html>Gucci Discount</a> meanwhile, has been updated so that it now supports second-stage cooling systems, three-stage heating, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and emergency heat through heat pumps. According to Nest, that extra support should make the thermostat compatible with 95 percent of heating and cooling systems, up from 75 percent on last year's model. Keep in mind, though, that that figure only applies to low-voltage systems in the US. (The Nest is only available in the United States and Canada.) On the software side, the most impressive new feature might be System Match, which learns not just your schedule, but the idiosyncrasies of your home. For example, if you live in an old Victorian with a decades-old heating system, Nest will learn that it takes your house longer to warm up than, say, a new construction. So, once <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Belts-Sale-Men-Shirts-Clogs-Loafer.html>Gucci Clogs</a> it knows how long it takes your heating system to reach a given set point, it can turn up the heat further in advance so that you don't wake up to a chilly house. Other new features include Auto-Away, which uses your scheduling patterns to predict when there won't be anybody at home. So, instead of just relying on proximity sensors to determine that everyone has left the house, it can automatically lower the temperature at certain times of day when people usually aren't around. Additionally, the auto scheduling feature has been improved such that the Nest can now learn when it's <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Belts-Online-Cheap-Boots-Bookbag-Women-Shoes.html>Gucci Bookbag</a> set to Heat / Cool mode. Finally, the mobile apps have been updated so that you can see who changed the set point, and when. (As if you didn't already know you and your spouse were engaged in a passive-aggressive tug-of-war over the temperature.) All those updates should be live in their respective app stores by tonight, so check back if you don't see them just yet.

59.58.157.79: TMZ- Elevator video shows NFL star Ray Rice punch out girlfriend (GRAPHIC)

@@@
WARNING: VIDEO CONTAINS IMAGES GRAPHIC IN NATURE. NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL AUDIENCES.
ATLANTIC CIY, N.J. A new video has surfaced showing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee inside an elevator at a hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in February.
TMZ Sports posted the video Monday showing Rice and Janay Palmer, who is now his wife, entering an elevator. Inside the elevator, Rice punches Palmer. Palmer lunges after Rice, and then Rice hits her back and she falls to the floor.
Previously, TMZ Sports had released hotel surveillance video of Rice dragging an unconscious Palmer out <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/images/guccioutlet.onlinesalecc.php>Gucci Shoes</a> of the elevator. This is the first time video has been released that shows Rice punching her.
A few months after the incident, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Rice without pay for the first two games of the regular season and fined him an additional game check for conduct detrimental to the NFL. However, no one in the NFL offices, including Goodell, had seen the newly released footage of the incident until Monday, the league told CNN.
We requested from law enforcement <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/anel.php> Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale</a> any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator, NFL senior vice president of communications Greg Aiello said. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today.
The NFL has previously said that Rice entered a pretrial intervention program in May. Under the program, he won t be prosecuted, and the charges will be expunged after one year.
In a press conference in July, Rice said his actions were inexcusable and that he and his wife are in counseling.
We re taking the necessary steps to move forward, he said. My job is to lead my family. My job is to lead my wife. My job is to lead in whatever I do. And If I m not being the example, then my family crumbles.
Goodell has already been scrutinized for suspending Rice for just two games, months after the first video aired. Many felt the suspension wasn t enough.
Some NFL fans have questioned why Ravens head coach John Harbaugh would call Rice one heck of a guy, and why the Ravens would tweet out Janay Rice says she deeply <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/michaelkorssonline.php> michael kors outlet</a> regrets the role that she played the night of the incident.
They have also questioned why Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon would be suspended for a year after testing positive for marijuana when Rice was suspended for just two games.
On August 28, Goodell released a letter to NFL team owners saying the league will institute a six-game unpaid suspension for personnel who violate the league s personal conduct policy when it relates to domestic violence. A second domestic violence incident would be punished by a lifetime ban from the league.

59.58.157.79: Will Romo bounce back- What the data says.

@@@
A couple notes: the cut-off for a QBR drop that I considered significant was a drop of around 20 points. Some QBs barely missed the <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Sale-Guilty-By-Perfume-Guilty-For-Sale.html>Gucci Perfume Guilty</a> cut-offs (see Roethlisberger), but I decided to include them anyways. Also, Rodgers obviously didn't have a "bad" game week 1, but he did drop his QBR by ~30 points, so I decided to include him as well.
Let's Take a Closer Look.
The average change in yearly QBR for these QBs is -11.68
This is actually the most disheartening statistic. What this really means is that Romo will probably have a significantly worse season this year, judging by his performance in the first game. None of the QBs who had a significant drop in their first game was able to even get close to their previous year's performance (at least in terms of QBR).
No QB had a drop as drastic as Romo did
This kind of builds on the previous point, but Romo had a drop of -35.9 points. In our group of QBs only Rodgers gets close to that, and he was playing with a completely ridiculous 122.5 QBR the previous year. What this means is that the Romo we know and love could be a lot worse than we had hoped this year, maybe one of the worst years yet. This does not bode well for the team. However...
Out of all the teams with QBs that we able to stay above 80 QBR, only the and had a losing record
Okay, now we're talking blue kool-aid. Yeah, yeah I know correlation, causation whatever, but the fact remains there's some knowledge to be gained here. This is actually the main reason why <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Outlet-Online-Brand-Horsebit-Hobo-Bag.html>Gucci Horsebit Hobo</a> I think the might not be so bad this year. Looking at the teams that ended badly: Redskins are always a shaky team, especially in these past few years with RG3's knee and all. The Saints in 2012 had a horrible defense that gave up the most yards and second most points. I really doubt Romo's supporting cast this year could be as bad as those two teams. So there's still a little bit of hope for our Cowboys, especially since the 2013 won their division 12-4. Bad news is, none of the teams who had QBs below 80 QBR made it to playoffs.
Good QBs...stay good
Again going off the previous point, all 3 of the "elite" (ugh) Quarterbacks who laid an egg their first game still managed a pretty good QBR at the end of the year. Brady, Brees, and Rodgers each were above 87 QBR that year, and also still created a situation for their team to at least have a shot at a winning record. (Though <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Discount-Skull-Cap-Discount-Wallets-Dress-Shirts.html>Gucci Skull Cap</a> we already discussed why Brees's 2012 team did not make it) I chose to think Romo is closer to Brees and Brady than he is to RGIII and Michael Vick, so there is reason to think Romo will bounce back better than expected.
Conclusion
Okay, so the prognosis isn't too great. Romo is all but certain to decline this year, and very few teams with a QB that has declined make it to playoffs. There is still a little bit of hope, as evidenced by both Rodgers and Brady, if Romo can at least maintain a respectable QBR and the defense maintains its performance from week 1, we could end up with a team that is at least vying for a wildcard spot. If not, however, we could be in for a pretty rough year.

59.58.157.79: Fisher- No conspiracy; Hill was hurt - Sports

@@@
Apparently no fan of conspiracy theories, Jeff Fisher called speculation that Shaun Hill was benched and wasn鈥檛 really injured 鈥渁bsurd鈥?during his Monday media session.鈥淭o clarify things once again, Shaun Hill strained a quad in the second quarter, and that was the <a href=http://capstone.edu.sg/clreplicashoes.php>Christian Louboutin Outlet</a> reason he did not return,鈥?Fisher said.Fisher said Hill鈥檚 status is day-to-day this week but if healthy, he will start this Sunday at Tampa Bay.鈥淭here鈥檚 no issue there,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淪haun鈥檚 our quarterback, so if he鈥檚 healthy he starts. And that鈥檒l be the case throughout the season.鈥漇everal factors made the halftime quarterback change seem curious in the Rams鈥?34-6, season-opening loss to Minnesota. For one, Davis was already in for a few plays at the start of the second half before it was announced that Hill had a quad 鈥?or thigh 鈥?injury.鈥?RAMS CHAT: For another, there was no definitive play where Hill appeared to get injured, at least to the naked eye.鈥淭ypically, quad strains are the result of running,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淚t was not a contusion. It was not impact. It started to get sore earlier in the game as he was escaping pressure.鈥滷isher said he made the decision to go with Davis with input from Hill.鈥淲e discussed it in the locker room at halftime,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淲e discussed it after we came out on the field. He wanted to play, but he felt 鈥?he was in agreement with me 鈥?that the best thing for the immediate future here next week or the week to follow would be that he didn鈥檛 make it any worse.鈥淏ecause if you make it any worse, then you鈥檙e looking at a significant amount of (missed) play time.鈥滷isher said Hill wasn鈥檛 upset about the quarterback change. 鈥淗e totally understood,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淵ou know, he actually tried to throw that ball away.鈥滷isher was referring to Hill鈥檚 costly interception near the end of the first half.鈥淗e wasn鈥檛 trying to throw it to Cookie (tight end Jared Cook),鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淗e lacked the lower-body strength to make the throw. That was a concern of his.鈥漇crambling right to evade the Minnesota pass rush, Hill threw off his back foot into double coverage near the Rams鈥?sideline. Nickel back Josh Robinson made a leaping interception at the St. Louis 35, and the Vikings converted the takeaway into a touchdown right before the half to take a 13-0 lead.Hill didn鈥檛 appear to be limping when he came out in the second half and was still in uniform with no ice on the leg or any kind of wrap to be seen.鈥淗e felt like he could take a shotgun snap and throw the ball if we had <a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/wdluk.php>Cheap Christian Louboutin</a> an issue with Austin,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淪o therefore, we kept him dressed and kept him on the sideline.鈥漀o. 3 quarterback Case Keenum was on the pregame inactive list.Hill declined to answer questions from reporters about the injury after the game, referring all queries to Fisher. He even declined to say how the injury occurred. That only fueled speculation that something was amiss. When Fisher met with reporters early Monday evening, he said he was unaware of any conspiracy theory rumblings about Hill being benched, not injured.鈥淚鈥檓 telling you the truth,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淚鈥檝e never, never messed around with the quarterback situation my entire career. I鈥檓 speaking truthfully. He had a quad strain, and I took him out of the game, period.鈥淥n the depth chart, he鈥檚 clearly ahead of Austin Davis. It鈥檚 not a negative commentary on Austin, but (Hill) gives us the best chance to win. If he can鈥檛 go, then Austin steps up and then he gives us the best chance to win.鈥滲ut as for conspiracy theories?鈥淭hat鈥檚 absurd,鈥?Fisher said.As he spoke Monday, Fisher wasn鈥檛 sure if Hill would be able to practice Wednesday, when the team returns to practice. The plan is to give Davis more work this week with the starters, just in case.Making his first start since 2010, Hill started the game by completing his first five passes but completed only three of his final eight to end the half. The misses in order:鈥?Running back Zac Stacy dropped a screen pass that could鈥檝e gone for good yardage on the Rams鈥?second possession.鈥?Flushed out of the pocket and under pressure, he threw away a pass on a play in which Kenny Britt was the nearest receiver early in the second quarter.鈥?Referee Ed Hochuli picked up a flag on what appeared to be an illegal contact or pass interference penalty on a deep ball to Brian Quick on the Rams鈥?fourth series.鈥?<a href=http://www.museosangennaro.com/Public/anel.php> Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale</a> Two plays later, on a miscommunication between Britt and Hill, Hill threw deep and Britt cut his route off short. The ball hit the turf well beyond anyone on the field.鈥?And then came the interception. So you could make the case that the only truly bad throw by Hill in the first half was the interception.鈥淪haun was effective,鈥?Fisher said. 鈥淗e made plays. They pressured him; we expected them to pressure him as anybody would a backup quarterback.鈥淏ut I thought he was effective. You saw the throws he made. The timing throws that he made. He was under pressure. We had a protection issue. ... But I thought had he stayed in game we would鈥檝e had a chance.鈥淩ealistically speaking, we鈥檙e two plays away from going into the locker room at halftime 6-3. Make a field goal, throw that (interception) away. Punt it away. Even with 2 minutes left to go in the third quarter, we鈥檙e down 10. You normally think you鈥檇 have a shot with the veteran quarterback.鈥滻t was 6-0 and not 6-3 before the Hill interception and the resulting Minnesota TD because Greg Zuerlein barely missed a 50-yard field goal, wide left, on the Rams鈥?second possession.

59.58.157.79: Derrick Rose Team USA- Don&#x27;t worry about knee soreness

The optimism surrounding Rose has been sky high since the start of Team USA's training camp, but that momentum came to a halt when the point guard sat out two consecutive practices to rest his knees. While Coach K said Monday聽 that the rest was planned, Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com set off some alarm bells by reporting Rose聽.
Sheridan's report was confirmed by both聽 and聽:
A source familiar with Rose's condition told ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell that Rose has been bothered by knee soreness since his return to the floor Saturday night in an exhibition victory over Brazil in Chicago and requested the extra time to recover. But Team USA officials, to this point, have downplayed concerns about Rose's status.
Pessimists may want to push the panic button here, but there's little reason to do such a thing. Throughout these last <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Tory-Burch-Verona-Mini-Bag>Tory Burch Outlet</a> few years, we've heard how knee soreness is simply a part of the recovery process after major knee surgery. When you've played such little basketball in a game setting at a high intensity level over a long period of time, it's only natural to feel that soreness when you return.
Rose himself isn't worried about it, and Tom Thibodeau said they anticipated soreness,聽:
"Saturday night was the first time for all the players to play again, so we were anticipating soreness the next day," said Thibodeau, an assistant on USA Basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski's staff. "For Derrick, he had not played since November. We knew there'd be more for him. We just gave him a day or two (off), let him get his legs under him and we'll see where he is tomorrow."
This is just a reminder <a href=http://www.avanttravel.com/page.php?sale=Michael-Kors-Puffer-Jacket>Michael Kors Puffer Jacket</a> that it's going to be a process for Rose to return to playing at an elite level. It's not something that's going to happen overnight. It's easy to get caught up in all of the hype when people are talking about how he has "no restrictions" and how he looks so great in practice, but Sheridan says some of the optimism <a href=http://www.alportico.net/page.php?sale=True-Religion-For-Kids-On-Sale>True Religion For Kids On Sale</a> may have been overstated. Aggrey Sam even has a source saying there's still a chance Rose ends up withdrawing from the FIBA Basketball World Cup because of the burden he may have to carry, which would certainly be a bummer, but not the absolute worst thing in the world.
Rose likely won't start in Team USA's exhibition against the Dominican Republic on Wednesday due to the team's policy of having to practice the day before a game in order to start. However, he's still expected to suit up and play, although perhaps he doesn't see as much floor time as he did against Brazil.

The researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say from 2000 to 2009, the rate for all childhood cancers combined, 171 cases per million children, remained stable, although there were slight increases in blacks and adolescents.
During that period there were about 120,000 new cancer diagnoses among infants and children ages 1 through 19.
Researchers say for thyroid cancer, the rate of diagnosis climbed from nearly <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Handbags-Envy-Thong-Sandals-Watches.html>Gucci Thong Sandals</a> six cases per million children to eight per million children in 2009, and for kidney cancer, the rate climbed from 0.5 cases per million to 0.7 cases per million.
