Jan Lebenstein studied painting at Warsaw's Academy of Fine Arts (1948-54) under Artur Nacht-Samborski. He debuted in the period that preceded the post-1956 "thaw", during the "Against War, Against Fascism" Polish National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts at Warsaw's Arsenal (1955), showing a series of modest, nostalgic landscapes depicting the lackluster suburbs of Warsaw

Jan Lebenstein Before 1981 the artist had only one exhibition in Poland (1977), subsequent to which he donated a large selection of works to the National Museum in Wroclaw. During Martial Law his works were presented at exhibitions organized under the independent cultural movement, primarily with the support of the Catholic Church. In 1976 Lebenstein was granted an award by the New York-based Alfred Jurzykowski Foundation, and in 1987 he received the independent Jan Cybis Prize.

Rafal Olbinski was born in the city of Kielce in Poland. He graduated from the Architectural Department of Warsaw Politechnical School. In 1982, he emigrated to the US, where he soon established himself as a prominent painter, illustrator and designer. Since 1985, he's been a professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York. In 2002, Olbinski designed stage settings for The Philadelphia Opera Company's production of Don Giovanni.

Jerzy Duda-Gracz (20 March 1941 in Częstochowa - 5 November 2004 in Łagów) was a Polish painter. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 1968. His work was exhibited in over 180 national and international exhibitions and can be seen at the Polish National Museum in Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk and Wrocław. Polish art

Jaroslaw Kukowski In the early stage of his artistic career the climate of his works, regarded as symbolic ones, is filled with drama and sadness. Full of pain, deformed human figures along with mystic creatures are depicted against the background of surrealistic landscapes. This series of works was defined as Udreams by its author.
