  Easyjet last week revealed that the Air France pilots strike has boosted its profits by around 5 million. The budget carrier claims the lengthy industrial action at Air France has resulted in passengers switching to Easyjet. As a result, it has lifted its profit forecast as its shares have risen in value.

Artistes present such as Omawumi, TemiDollFace, Niyola, Brymo, Nikki Laoye, expressed delight with their nomination for the iconic award which seeks to celebrate the cultural uniqueness of Africa as well as celebrating the talents.

The event was held in partnership with Africa s number one luxury nightclub, Quilox and the CEO, Quilox, Shina Peller was also in attendance to present nomination certificates to the artistes.<br>

The main award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 9 in Lagos. It will be preceded by the AFRIMA Music Village between November 4 and 7.<br>

Nigeria-based nominees for the 2014 edition of Africa Music Awards AFRIMA) have been presented with certificates of nomination at Quilox Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Representing the International Committee of AFRIMA were Co-Producer/Country Director, Nigeria, Kingsley James; Chairman, International Media Committee, Steve Ayorinde, and Member, International Media Committee, Biodun Kupoluyi. Other attendees included African music industry personalities, artiste managers, on-air-personalities (OAPs) and music industry stakeholders.
