Here s how it works: Commuters waiting for, or riding, the T solve the puzzles and submit their answers (which must be three syllables) via text message. When an answer is submitted, the user receives a text with a link to the mobile . There, commuters can solve the other 19 puzzles. Once all 20 are complete, players are assigned a rank (for bragging rights, of course).

As of Sept. 27, Vortexx (The CW), the last remaining Saturday cartoon block, aired for the final time. The cartoon block was replaced with a series of live-action educational shows called One Magnificent Morning. The move away from networks broadcasting cartoons began in the 90鈥瞫 that were dealing with FCC regulations, decreasing viewership, and competition from cable programming.

One of the great things about Saturday morning cartoons was that they aired on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, FOX and the CW (formerly WB) networks which didn鈥檛 require cable and made them accessible to kids everywhere.

I fondly remember the anxiety of having to decide which show to watch when two cartoons were airing at the same time or trying to tape them on a VHS cassette. Those days are over. Between Hulu Plus, Netflix, Youtube and other media streaming websites, I can catch up on classic cartoons.

Still, the end of an era that brought countless animated shows to the foreground will take some getting used to. Unfortunately, we won鈥檛 be right back after these messages.
