Unfortunately she adds, sometimes the process ends with the referral. âA lot of our ladies referred for additional screening do not follow through on that because they donât have insurance,â Raney said. âSo if they get a mammogram result that says we need additional screens, they are uncomfortable doing that because it can be very costly. But we are in what is called Ohio Healthâs continuum of Care, which means if they say a woman needs additional screening they will not refuse service. So they will continue to follow her from the time they provide a mammogram for her here, if she is diagnosed, through the diagnostic testing and all the way to survivorship. I always encourage women to make sure they know that, because a lot of women will not go because they donât know how they will pay for it.â
