On Monday crews cleared several feet of mud, rocks and debris that blocked San Bernardino County roads, stranding some 2,500 people in the rural communities of Oak Glen and Forest Falls. A group of campers who spent the night at a community center were headed down from the mountains. Fire Capt. Jeff Britton says up to 8 homes near Forest Falls are "likely lost" and several others sustained minor damage from mud and water.
