The most recent fatal shooting occurred Sunday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

A 14-year-old boy was in the 1100 block of North Leclaire at 2:52 p.m. when two males approached him, police said. One of the males was armed and fired shots at the boy, striking him in the back. The two then got in to a dark Infiniti and drove off, police said.

Marcus McCarty, who lived a block south of the shooting, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead an hour later, the Cook County medical examiner鈥檚 office said.

Several hours earlier, another teen was shot to death in Little Village early Sunday.

A 39-year-old was shot in the buttocks and also taken to Christ, where his condition had stabilized. A 32-year-old was shot in the chest and taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. A 41-year-old was shot in the left ankle and taken to Little Company of Mary.

Earlier Sunday, three men were shot 鈥?one fatally 鈥?at a party in the West Side Austin neighborhood, authorities said.

The three were at a backyard party in the 5000 block of West Potomac about 2 a.m. when someone came out of an alley and fired multiple shots, police said.

Andre Byrd, 33, was shot in the torso and pronounced dead at the scene at 2:15 a.m., according to police and the medical examiner鈥檚 office. Byrd lived in the 200 block of North Kolin, authorities said.

A 35-year-old man was shot in the elbow, torso and hip and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition had stabilized. A 36-year-old man was shot in the back and was in serious condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

At least 36 other people have been shot across the city since 4:30 p.m. Friday. Additionally, two males were fatally shot by Chicago Police during separate incidents Sunday night in the Chatham and East Garfield Park neighborhoods.
