If you鈥檙e planning to go to Great America in Santa Clara, better check the 49ers鈥?schedule.

Seemingly since the day arrived in the big leagues, the San Francisco Giants have been bombarded with questions as to when they d move him out 75% Off True Religion Oulet Online from behind the plate and to a less physically demanding position. And there s never been a good answer, since Posey is so valuable as a catcher.
In exchange for $12.5 million from the team, the amusement park鈥檚 owners have agreed to close the park on game days 鈥?both this season and in the future 鈥?and turn over Louboutin Shoes their 6,500 parking spots to fans at the parking-challenged, $1.3 billion Levi鈥檚 Stadium.
+
Given that Santa Clara receives a portion of Great America鈥檚 revenue, some locals are asking what the city will get out of the parking deal.
+
But the calls to switch Posey s position will only get louder this offseason. Not only is Posey showing that he s a better hitter when he s not wearing the catching gear on a daily basis, but the Giants may finally have a viable replacement for him: .
鈥淭hat鈥檚 a question I鈥檝e asked,鈥?said Councilwoman Lisa Gillmor.
+
The short answer is zilch.
+
As a catcher this year, Posey is hitting .292/.342/.477, a very respectable stat line that ranks him as one of the game s best behind the plate. But consider Posey s stat line as a first baseman this year: .394/.439/.586 in 30 games. For his career, Posey s batting average is 68 points higher as a first baseman, while is OPS is over 160 points higher. Those numbers are hard to ignore.
Assistant City Manager Alan Kurotori said the city collects about Christian Louboutin Replica $5.3 million a year in rent from Great America, plus a percentage when the park鈥檚 revenue exceeds certain levels. Levels, we might add, that will be that much tougher to reach every time Great America shuts down for a game.
+
Unfortunately for Santa Clara, Kurotori said, that financial arrangement does not extend to the parking lot 鈥?which amusement park owner Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. leases separately from the city. So when Cedar Fair shops out its lot to the Niners, the city will get nothing extra.
+
The argument against moving Posey has always been that his bat is too valuable as a catcher, and replacing him with anyone else would be an offensive downgrade. That was true when the Giants had the likes of , , and even behind him. But that doesn t appear to be the case anymore: Susac is proving he can hit at the major league level, and hit well. He s managed a .286/.322/.536 line in 22 games this year and has shown good power as well. He s not a finished product defensively, but he certainly hasn t embarrassed himself behind the plate. He s a legitimate every day catcher and shouldn t be on the bench next year.
That was news to Gillmor, who joined her council colleagues two years ago in backing the team鈥檚 parking arrangement with Great America.
+
鈥淚t should trickle down to us, as far as I鈥檓 concerned,鈥?Gillmor said.
+
So what should the Giants do? Moving Posey to first base would complicate things with , who seemed to be coming into his own in 2014 before injuries and bad luck derailed him. The Giants could try moving Belt to left field, where they ll have an opening if doesn t re-sign, but it d be asking a lot of Belt to learn a new position next spring while still expecting him to be consistent at the plate. They could try the radical idea of moving True Religion Jeans Cheap Posey to left field, which may not be as crazy as it sounds considering how athletic Posey is; granted he isn t very fast, but it s not like the Giants have had swift left fielders over the past few years.
Mayor Jamie Matthews said that, in a roundabout way, it may: If Niners money boosts Cedar Fair鈥檚 overall revenue by enough, the city will get its cut Christian Louboutin Sale that way.
+
By the way, lest you be frustrated by an ever-shifting amusement park schedule, Great America spokesman Roger Ross says the theme park keeps customers informed of closures 鈥渨ith as little confusion as possible鈥?鈥?via e-mail, social media and on the electronic sign outside.
+
The Giants could also find themselves with a few intriguing trade chips this offseason, namely Belt and Sanchez. If they re set on moving Posey to first and don t want to try Belt in the outfield, Belt would likely fetch a useful player or two on the market should the Giants go that way. The downside is they d be selling low, and it s hard to give up on a player who s shown the kind of flashes that Belt has. As for Sanchez, there s always a need for quality catchers in the majors. Sanchez would likely start for more than a few teams and could also get the Giants something useful in return.

It s becoming increasingly clear that the Giants will have a better lineup next year if both Posey and Susac are in it every day. For now, how that happens is anyone s Gucci Suit guess.
