The has reported that a network called "Black Asphalt" is used by police officers as a (possibly illegal) aid in seizing drugs and cash during roadside stops. The site was created by a counterterrorism firm called Desert Snow, and has been tapped Cheap Gucci Handbags by as many as 25,000 police officers, DEA officials, customs agents and others to share information. Some of that data includes reports about US drivers never charged with a crime, including personal data like Social Security numbers. It is also frequently used to share "Be On the Lookout" or BOLO reports, which often target drivers based only on a cop's hunch. Officers using the site and various Desert Snow training methods reportedly seized $427 million in five years, drastically increasing the take in the Justice Department's contentious "" fund. To drive home the point, the site encouraged members to post pictures of seized cash and contraband. It even hosted a contest to crown the "Royal Knight," an officer who managed to seize the most cash and property for the year. Though run with no Gucci Outlet Online government oversight, Black Asphalt was used and even funded by federal agencies like the DEA, which once housed the site on its own computers. A spokesman said agents "would go in there to grab information," but added that it no longer uses the site over concerns that cases may be thrown out of court. Others have warned that use of the site may violate civil rights and jeopardize cases, but several officers told the Post that when they used it, they didn't bother telling prosecutors anyway.

Seemingly since the day arrived in the big leagues, the San Francisco Giants have been bombarded with questions as to when they d move him out Christian Louboutin Eugenie from behind the plate and to a less physically demanding position. And there s never been a good answer, since Posey is so valuable as a catcher.
The site is no longer being run by Desert Snow and is now in the hands of an Illinois Sherrif's office, to avoid the perception of a conflict of interest. Ironically, the point of contact there is a deputy who ghost-wrote a called In Roads: A Working Solution to America's War on Drugs -- which happens Www Gucci Com to be Desert Snow's handbook of asset seizure techniques. To take a deeper dive, check the full, fascinating story on .

But the calls to switch Posey s position will only get louder this offseason. Not only is Posey showing that he s a better hitter when he s not wearing the catching gear on a daily basis, but the Giants may finally have a viable replacement for him: .

As a catcher this year, Posey is hitting .292/.342/.477, a very respectable stat line that ranks him as one of the game s best behind the plate. But consider Posey s stat line as a first baseman this year: .394/.439/.586 in 30 games. For his career, Posey s batting average is 68 points higher as a first baseman, while is OPS is over 160 points higher. Those numbers are hard to ignore.

The argument against moving Posey has always been that his bat is too valuable as a catcher, and replacing him with anyone else would be an offensive downgrade. That was true when the Giants had the likes of , , and even behind him. But that doesn t appear to be the case anymore: Susac is proving he can hit at the major league level, and hit well. He s managed a .286/.322/.536 line in 22 games this year and has shown good power as well. He s not a finished product defensively, but he certainly hasn t embarrassed himself behind the plate. He s a legitimate every day catcher and shouldn t be on the bench next year.

So what should the Giants do? Moving Posey to first base would complicate things with , who seemed to be coming into his own in 2014 before injuries and bad luck derailed him. The Giants could try moving Belt to left field, where they ll have an opening if doesn t re-sign, but it d be asking a lot of Belt to learn a new position next spring while still expecting him to be consistent at the plate. They could try the radical idea of moving Tory Burch On Sale Posey to left field, which may not be as crazy as it sounds considering how athletic Posey is; granted he isn t very fast, but it s not like the Giants have had swift left fielders over the past few years.

The Giants could also find themselves with a few intriguing trade chips this offseason, namely Belt and Sanchez. If they re set on moving Posey to first and don t want to try Belt in the outfield, Belt would likely fetch a useful player or two on the market should the Giants go that way. The downside is they d be selling low, and it s hard to give up on a player who s shown the kind of flashes that Belt has. As for Sanchez, there s always a need for quality catchers in the majors. Sanchez would likely start for more than a few teams and could also get the Giants something useful in return.

It s becoming increasingly clear that the Giants will have a better lineup next year if both Posey and Susac are in it every day. For now, how that happens is anyone s Gucci Tote guess.
