Artistes present such as Omawumi, TemiDollFace, Niyola, Brymo, Nikki Laoye, expressed delight with their nomination for the iconic award which seeks to celebrate the cultural uniqueness of Africa as well as celebrating the talents.

Omawumi stated, I m so glad that the music industry is changing. We have women who are strong in character and their music is equally beautiful that you cannot help but enjoy their music. I am grateful to AFRIMA for nominating me in this 2014 edition .<br>

The event was held in partnership with Africa s number one luxury nightclub, Quilox and the CEO, Quilox, Shina Peller was also in attendance to present nomination certificates to the artistes.<br>

The main award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 9 in Lagos. It will be preceded by the AFRIMA Music Village between November 4 and 7.<br>
