Lakes CLEAR (Pierce) : Folks looking for a change from trolling, can try anchoring in water about 45 feet deep. Look for fish 25-30 feet Christian Louboutin Shoes Sale down. Use a small orange still-fishing spinner tipped with a maggot and a red egg. HARTS: A few crappie are being caught. Try using a red- or yellow-and-white crappie jig. People are catching yellow perch using a worm fished under a bobber. The catfish action has been slowed by warm water, but should pick up soon. LEECH: The trout action has been good to very good. Brook and rainbow trout are hitting scud, Carey Special, mayfly emerger, bloodworm and caddis patterns. The best surface action has been midday. MINERAL: The trout action has improved. Most people are still fishing off the bottom. Use a combination of a worm, marshmallow and a Power Egg on a 4-foot leader. RATTLESNAKE: The fishing has improved as the cool nights have lowered the water temperature. Try fishing black or maroon leeches in the deep portions of the lake. WASHINGTON: The fishing has been good in the waters of Magnuson Park in Seattle. People are catching lots of yellow perch and rock bass, and the smallmouth bass action has been very good as well.Rivers COWLITZ: The action has been fair, based on state creel sampling. Anglers are landing a mix of chinook, coho and steelhead, but the numbers of fish have not been great. GREEN: This has been one of the best rivers right now for consistent catches of nice, bright coho. Anglers are having success fishing in the morning with eggs. PUYALLUP: Some fish Christian Louboutin Sale are being caught, but the action is far from red hot. SNOHOMISH: People making the drive north had some success over the weekend. Most people are drifting jigs under a bobber, while others are using spoons. YAKIMA: The fly action has been very good in recent days. Look for the trout holding in seams and pools in the middle of the river, now that flows are low. There have been hatches of caddis, yellow mayflies and crane flies. Terrestrial patterns like grasshoppers, ants and beetles also are effective.Salt water FLY FISHING: The beach action is starting to pick up as the coho are returning, especially along the eastside of Puget Sound at spots like Browns Point and Dash Point. Some fish also are being caught in the Tacoma Narrows. Try using bright, sparse flies 3-4 inches long, such as a stinger Clouser. SEKIU: The coho fishing has been good since the weekend. NORTH SOUND: Daniel Lejnieks won the Edmonds Coho Derby s $5,000 first prize with an 11.15-pound fish. There were 331 fish weighed in during Saturday s derby. SOUTH SOUND: People are catching far more coho than chinook in Christian Louboutin Sale the Tacoma area, just not in great numbers according to state creel sampling. The salmon fishing in the Olympia area has been slow. WESTPORT: The action since the weekend has been mostly for coho. Charter boats are running north about 15 miles from the harbor mouth, then heading west about 8 miles in water about 150 feet deep. The tuna action has slowed as the fish have moved south and far offshore for now.
