I totally agree with Donna M. Myers鈥?recent letter about Gov. Rick Perry. His arrogance and his Louboutin Black Pumps feeling exempt from the law are an embarrassment to this state. After all, he now has fame, fortune and power. It appears that he鈥檚 deeply infected with narcissism, particularly with his new designer glasses, almost as if he were Clark Kent.

I am stunned and saddened after reading the recent article about the city鈥檚 requesting $2 million to fund the local animal clinic. First of all, improving the care of animals is a noble endeavor. But please do that with private donations, not my tax dollars.

If $2 million is raised, I request that it be used for such wonderful endeavors as Cheap True Religion Jeans Mission Waco, Caritas, Family Abuse Center, Grace House and other facilities and services that help homeless, impoverished and abused people. Animals are nice to have and we should be kind to them, but people are much more important to feed and care for and house. And $2 million would go a long way toward helping people who are really struggling.
