Melissa Rivers and her 13-year-old grandson, Cooper, who lived with her in Malibu, Calif., rushed to her bedside.

This looming cap space looks very calculated: post-LeBron, the Heat have re-signed , , and to two-year deals, and Udonis Haslem's room-exception contract is at most two years, as well. Their free agent signings, and , are both for two years. These moves leave them with only exceptions to work with next summer, barring major trades, but effectively clear their roster for the summer of 2016. Next question: who's a free agent that summer?

Raspy-voiced and brassy, Rivers was always self-deprecating, foul-mouthed and politically incorrect. A master of reinvention, she endured in show business because of her tenacious work ethic 鈥?which she credited to her immigrant mentality.

Comedians typically push the envelope, but Rivers proved time and again that she didn t even see the envelope. To her fans, she was as shocking as she was endearing.

There are a number of other big contracts ending, and the Heat will also have the opportunity to throw money at restricted free agents from the draft class of 2012. The major names from this draft appear to be , , , and Andre Drummond. With all their cap space, the Heat could try signing one of these players to a max offer sheet, one that their original teams may be unable or unwilling to match.

The way she is Kate Spade Polarized Sunglasses funny, she tells the truth according to herself, the late film critic in 2010. She hates some people. She has political opinions. Her observations are so merciless and her timing so precise that even if you like that person, you laugh. She is a sadist of comedy, unafraid to be cruel 鈥?even too cruel.

This doesn't really seem to impact the all that much, as their next major cap space offseason appears to be the following summer, and Noah is our only free agent. However, I thought it was interesting by comparison with the Bulls' recent offseason work. The Heat appear to be putting into motion a solid plan to redo their roster with major free agents in a couple of years. They've structured their contracts nicely so they all end at the same time, and they've planned their cap space to coincide with perhaps the best free agent class possible. Contrast this with the Bulls, who seem like they have a major contract ending every year, and couldn't muster up the cap space to sign Melo, and ended up signing Gasol, hardly the same caliber of player. The Heat plan does come at a price, as they will probably field a solid Brown Tory Burch Flats but non-contending team for the next two seasons while they wait for their cap space to come up.
