TROY, MO.聽鈥?The championship game of the eighth annual Troy Lead-off Tournament Saturday was a game of momentum swings.Good thing for the host Trojans that they had the last big shift in earning a 11-7 win over Fort Zumwalt North in the title contest.鈥淲e're just an overall positive team and we try to keep each other up,鈥?Troy senior outfielder Bri Livingston said. 鈥淲e have seven seniors on the team and that senior leadership is important.鈥滱fter jumping out to a six-run Christian Louboutin Shoes lead and then giving it all back, Troy (7-1, No. 6 in the STLhighschoolsports.com large-school softball rankings) scored five of the game's final six runs to earn the win.The difference-making inning was the sixth in which Troy sent eight hitters to the plate and scored four times. The biggest hits were a pair of RBI doubles from Livingston and Alyssa Rivera to help put the game out of reach.鈥淚t's just good to know that I have my teammates behind me, supporting me and not putting too much pressure on me鈥?said Livingston, who was 4-for-4 with two doubles Christian Louboutin Boots and two RBI. 鈥淪o, I'm just up there very relaxed.鈥滲oth Troy and Zumwalt North (7-2, No. 4 LS) scored single tallies between the bottom of the sixth (North) and top of the seventh (Troy) to close out the scoring.Prior to that, the sides took turns ripping off six successive runs.Troy scored four runs in the first, with Rivera providing a two-run single to account for the heavy lifting and the Trojans added two more in the third on Zumwalt North errors.鈥淲e know we can hit anybody,鈥?Troy coach Lance Richardson said. 鈥淲e go out there and we bend, but we just don't break.鈥漐umwalt North answered with six runs of its own as the Panthers tallied four in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth. In the fourth, seven North hitters came to the plate and the Panthers got a bases-loaded double to right center from Niki Swafford.鈥淲e made a lot of mistakes today that we don't usually make,鈥?Zumwalt North coach Steve Siebert said. 鈥淢entally, coming back and fighting, that's what these girls have done all season. I'm proud of them for that.鈥滺aley Rotert earned the win in relief for Troy. Shelby Clark suffered the loss for North.Clark said that the Trojans not recording a 1-2-3 inning until the seventh was something less than desirable.鈥淚t was frustrating,鈥?Rotert said. 鈥淭hat's how it turns out sometimes, I guess. It (the win) was the thing we wanted, though. We got it.鈥滾ivingston added that the championship, which included wins Gucci Outlet Store over Winfield, Warrenton and Highland, Mo., was big.鈥淲e won this for four years before finishing third last year,鈥?Livingston said. 鈥淚t was important to us to get this title back and we did it.鈥滻n the third place game, Lafayette downed Highland, Mo., 8-5."We had a lot of great things today," Lafayette coach Scott DeNoyer said. "We moved people around and put people in different situations. Overall, I'm very pleased with how things went."
