The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 2011 determined that Cooke erred in giving Padilla credit for the brig years and also failed to properly account for his heightened risk of dangerousness due to Christian Louboutin Outlet training at an al-Qaida camp in Afghanistan. In addition, the appeals judges ruled that Padilla 鈥?a former Chicago Latin Kings gang member 鈥?deserved a longer sentence because of his numerous previous arrests.

The Love for Wiggins trade should be finalized tomorrow, and even though it hasn't happened yet, I am over it already. When were engaged with Flip on a potential Taj-and-stuff for Kevin deal I wept and prayed, but now that the crisis is passed I can be my objective self again.
He is far more sophisticated than an individual convicted of an ordinary street crime, the appeals court concluded.

I am not a Love hater, he has had some solid seasons with the Wolves, but c'mon already. He has not been able to get to the playoffs for 6 years, what is that about? Haberstroh wrote about how it's NO LOVE'S FAULT, that he just didn't have good enough teammates. Nobody but Kevin has gone through the last six years without a teammate with at least a 7.0 WARP for Chrissake! Not even Jo, who had Jimmy with a 7.1 (and according to Haberstroh if Jimmy can get a 7.1 you know that is bottom of the barrel Cheap True Religion Jeans in WARP ratings, that's for sure),
Padilla s attorneys had asked for 21 years. Prosecutors wanted 30.

So now I am thinking that Haberstroh must be right. Poor Kevin, NOBODY can be expected to win with those sub-7.0 D-leaguers he's been stuck with, right? I mean, how many teams could make the playoffs without two guys with at least 7.0 WARPs?
Padilla, 43, was arrested in 2002 at Chicago s O Hare International Airport during the tense months after the 9/11 attacks. At the time, authorities said Padilla was on an al-Qaida mission to detonate a radioactive dirty bomb in a major U.S. city. It later emerged that the mission was only a sketchy idea. The allegations against Padilla were dropped before he was added in 2005 to an existing South Florida terrorism case.

The answer is 5. There were 5 teams last year that made the playoffs without 2 guys with plus 7 WARPs. AND the only had one player over 7 WARP, and THEY finished better than the Wolves. Here is the list:
Before his indictment, Padilla s attorneys challenged the right of then-President George W. Bush s administration to continue Gucci Outlet Store holding a U.S. citizen like him as a combatant without charge. Because he was finally charged criminally, the U.S. Supreme Court never got a chance to rule on the question. Cooke was appointed by George W. Bush.

Trial testimony showed that Padilla had begun frequenting a Florida mosque where his co-defendant, Adham Hassoun, was recruiting fighters for Muslim jihad overseas. Padilla eventually traveled to Egypt and on to Afghanistan. A key piece of evidence against him was his name on an al-Qaida form listing attendees at the al-Farook terrorism training camp.

Hassoun and a third defendant, Islamist propagandist Kifah Jayyousi, michael kors outlet where also convicted in the case. Hassoun is serving 15 years and Jayyousi 12 years.

Padilla s lawyers tried before trial to get the case thrown out by claiming his treatment at the brig amounted to torture, which U.S. officials have repeatedly denied. His attorneys say he was forced to stand in painful stress positions, given LSD or other drugs as truth serum, deprived of sleep and subjected to loud noises, extreme heat and cold and noxious odors.

: Conley 8.2, Randolph 6.4, Gasol 5.6
Our government has subjected Jose to extraordinarily harsh conditions of solitary confinement and isolation, Padilla s lawyer wrote in court papers.

Mavs: Nowitski 10.9, Calderon 6.3, Wright 5.1 (Yes, was their 3rd best WARP!)

Suns: Dragic 10.3, , 6.4, Tucker/Green 6.1

Wolves: Love 14.3, Rubio 5.9, Pekovic 5.9

So apparently it's not that hard. If Al Jefferson can lead the Hornets to the playoffs with as his wingman, can you really feel sorry for ? (But Love is in the WEST, not the East, you say. Well Dirk made the playoffs with Calderon and Brandon Fucking Wright, didn't he? Would you really rather have those two than Rubio and Pek? Didn't think so.)
+
Still that's just 1 year and those 5 teams may be flukes. If you look at QUALITY players over the history of the league, surely there are some who True Religion Sammy have been as inept as Love at getting their team to the playoffs, right?

The answer to that is YES, If you look at the (you can look at more than that if you want but 50 is a lot) there are a few who rival Love in terms of not making the playoffs. Dave Bing missed 5 of his first 6 playoffs, before making 4 in a row, Dave DeBusschere missed 4 of his first 5 before making 8 in a row, and Pete Maravich made his first 3, then missed 6 in a row before finishing his career with a playoff appearance. So these three players are the most similar to Love. I guess if I was Love I would want to be Pistol Pete over the two Daves, he could shoot the daylights out of the ball. Probably the better comps though are Bing and DeBusschere. I would enjoy a good debate on who is better, Love or DeBusschere.
+
(The only other guys in the top 50 that missed the playoffs at least 4 years in a row were Walt Frazier (5), Moses Malone (4), Bill Walton (4) and Lenny Wilkens (7). All but Walton finished their careers with their non-playoff strings, as they faded out. Most of Wilkens' string was as a player-coach. Walton's 4 years were in the middle of his career when he was Discount Michael Kors Bags hobbled.)

Anyway, to summarize:
+
1. If I am going to spend 2 hours looking up stats on basketball-reference, at least I an going to post them,

2. Tom Haberstroh is an ass,

3. Anybody who plays with LeBron will make the playoffs, but so what.

The Love for Wiggins trade should be finalized tomorrow, and even though it hasn't happened yet, I am over it already. When were engaged with Flip on a potential Taj-and-stuff for Kevin deal I wept and prayed, but now that the crisis is passed I can be my objective self again.
