Aliyu, in an excerpt from his remarks at the Base University鈥檚 first convocation ceremony on Sunday, in Abuja, called on private investors to augment government owned universities in the region.

The governor added that the number of out of school children in the country has reached alarming proportion, adding that over 10,000 children were out of school.

Governor Aliyu said no nation can achieve maximum development without quality labour force, adding that education sector must be properly managed for quality service and accessibility.
