Bill Hader brought back Stefon, one of his most popular characters from his time on the show, while hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. Stefon visited Weekend Update, as usual, giving viewers advice on going out in New York City, and revealed a pretty big surprise at the end.聽 Stefon wasn't the only former "SNL" character to make a return to the late-night show. Although Kristen Wiig wasn't hosting, she impersonated Kathie Lee Gifford during a sketch skewering NBC's "Hollywood Game Night" hosted by Kate McKinnon's Jane Lynch. Wiig's Kathie Lee was joined by Jay Pharoah's Morgan Freeman, Hader's Al Pacino and a water cooler full of wine. Wiig's first surprise appearance of the night, however, came right at the beginning of the show, when she sang with her "Skeleton Twins" co-star in his monologue.聽
"That was really really bad," Wiig said of Hader's voice. "I love you, but don't do that to television." The episode also featured a touching tribute to former cast member , who at the age of 57. Introduced by Hader and Wiig, the tribute featured one of Hooks' "SNL" pre-recorded video sketches with Phil Hartman, "Love is a Dream." The sweet video, a departure into more serious roles for the comedians, is even more poignant now that both former cast members are gone.
SNL announced during Saturday night's show that Jim Carrey will host "SNL" on Oct. 25, with musical guest Iggy Azaelia.
