The Cowboys on Thursday talked a lot about the concept of rebuilding. Mike Gundy: 鈥淓ach year we find out where we鈥檙e at. This is the most difficult year we鈥檝e had in terms of returning players. Only 29, 28 guys that have factored in that we know have played at this level. We have good, young players in the program. Just not every experienced.鈥? Joe Randle played better than we ever thought as a true freshman. TV didn鈥檛 bother, crowds didn鈥檛 bother him, heat didn鈥檛 bother him. He had a high tolerance of pain.鈥? Kevin Peterson: 鈥淚 feel like there鈥檚 not really a rebuilding. It would only be rebuilding if you lost all your guys and everybody鈥檚 a freshman and nobody鈥檚 played before. (Walsh), Ryan Simmons, Jimmy Bean, James Castleman. We have guys that have been able to play. I don鈥檛 think it鈥檚 rebuilding. We just have to go about our business, know this is what we have, this is what we have to work with. Regardless of what happens with any other team, we have to do our job, do whatever it takes for us to win games.鈥? But the way we鈥檝e been pushing our young guys, helping them attack, push forward through all this stuff, it shows their work ethic is just as high as the veterans and just as high as the people who have been here. It shows they鈥檙e willing to do what they have to do to help out the team.鈥?
