I thought about leaving off the parenthetical comment in the title, just to get all your hopes up (or down), but nobody likes clickbait. Anyway, while perusing the excellent team salary database at ShamSports, I noticed that in the wake of losing LeBron, the appear to have a 2016 plan in motion. See for yourself . The Heat page does not include Bosh's five-year max contract at the time of this post, but apart from that, their only guaranteed contract is at $5.8 million. Combined with Bosh's roughly $23.6 million, they'll have only $29.4 million on the books, Cheap Gucci Sale which leaves them plenty of room to sign a max free agent or several sizeable non-max deals. This looming cap space looks very calculated: post-LeBron, the Heat have re-signed , , and to two-year deals, and Udonis Haslem's room-exception contract is at most two years, as well. Their free agent signings, and , are both for two years. These moves leave them with only exceptions to work with next summer, barring major trades, but effectively clear their roster for the summer of 2016. Next question: who's a free agent that summer? There's a nice list on . It's a free agent class full of major Kate Spade Coupon names: and are the biggest names, along with aging former stars , Dwyane Wade, , and David Lee. It's a good crop of centers, featuring , , our very own , , , and . There are a number of other big contracts ending, and the Heat will also have the opportunity to throw money at restricted free agents from the draft class of 2012. The major names from this draft appear to be , , , and Andre Drummond. With all their cap space, the Heat could try signing one of these players to a max offer sheet, one that their original teams may be unable or unwilling to match. This doesn't really seem to impact the all that much, as their next major cap space offseason appears to be the following summer, and Noah is our only free agent. However, I thought it was interesting by comparison with the Bulls' recent offseason work. The Heat appear to be putting into motion a solid plan to redo their roster with major free agents in a couple of years. They've structured their contracts nicely so they all end at the same time, and they've planned their cap space to coincide with perhaps the best free agent class possible. Contrast this with the Bulls, who seem like they have a major contract ending every year, and couldn't muster up the cap space to sign Melo, and ended up signing Gasol, hardly the same caliber of player. The Heat plan does come at a price, as they will probably field a solid Kate Spade Diaper but non-contending team for the next two seasons while they wait for their cap space to come up. But hey, maybe they'll sign in 2016!
