Mr Britt will provide part-time strategic advice to Nine until 2016.
Before his time at Nine, Mr Britt was general manager of Microsoft s consumer and online business in Asia Pacific.
Former managing director of ninemsn Alex Parsons will rejoin the company as managing director of Nine Digital, after a near two-year stint as chief executive of financial comparison website RateCity.
Last year, Nine bought the half of Mi9 it did not already own from former partner Microsoft and Mr Britt played a key role integrating Ceinture Louis Vuitton the business into the broader Nine group.
The deal has given Nine complete control over its online video content and allowed it to establish new joint ventures, such as news service the Daily Mail Australia with the Daily Mail General Trust, and data play Tipstone with Roy Morgan Research.
Mi9 still sells advertising across Microsoft s digital products in Australia Anagramme ceinture and New Zealand such as Skype, Xbox, Bing and Outlook.com
The management restructure at Mi9 comes just months after Ed Harrison took the helm of rival Seven West Media s digital joint venture Yahoo7.
