I totally agree with Donna M. Myers鈥?recent letter about Gov. Rick Perry. His arrogance and his <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Cheap-Gucci-Handbags-Watch-Sale-Eye-Frames-Tops.html>Gucci Watch Sale</a>  feeling exempt from the law are an embarrassment to this state. After all, he now has fame, fortune and power. It appears that he鈥檚 deeply infected with narcissism, particularly with his new designer glasses, almost as if he were Clark Kent.
If Perry makes another run for president of the United States, let鈥檚 see if his high-paid attorneys, fame, money and eyeglasses provide him with Supermanlike strength to fly past all barriers and land in the White House.

Wrong priority
I am stunned and saddened after reading the recent article about the city鈥檚 requesting $2 million to fund the local animal clinic. First of all, improving the care of animals is a noble endeavor. But please do that with private donations, not my tax dollars.
If $2 million is raised, I request that it be used for such wonderful endeavors as <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Sale-Online-Watches-Women-Sneakers-Mens-Wallet.html>Women Gucci Sneakers</a>  Mission Waco, Caritas, Family Abuse Center, Grace House and other facilities and services that help homeless, impoverished and abused people. Animals are nice to have and we should be kind to them, but people are much more important to feed and care for and house. And $2 million would go a long way toward helping people who are really struggling.
And, incidentally, I am a pet parent myself.

EDITOR鈥橲 NOTE: The city鈥檚 animal shelter seeks $2 million in funding for renovation as well as a new adoption center to increase the number of animals that find homes. The city, responsible for rounding up stray animals, has committed $500,000 <a href=http://www.aec-ist.com/css/Gucci-Belts-Sale-Cosmetic-Bag-Boston-Handbag-Leather-Handbags.html>Gucci Boston Handbag</a>  in city funds to the project, but the rest will come from private donations. The facility is more than 50 years old and needs the work.
Recharge time
During a recent kindergarten substitute teaching assignment, I discovered that 5-year-old children had no nap time allocated for their seven-hour aggressive and active school day. How has the leadership of education gotten away with depriving little developing bodies a basic requirement?
