@@@ Nick Punto (hamstring) came off the DL today, but he鈥檚 not really 100 percent, according to manager Bob Melvin. Melvin was out of infielders in extra innings last night, rosters have expanded 鈥?so why not activate Punto? He鈥檚 probably not going to do any pinch running with a hamstring that isn鈥檛 totally healed, but he could play in the field if needed. Here鈥檚 another reason he isn鈥檛 in the lineup Christian Louboutin Replica tonight: Punto is 4 for 26 against White Sox starter John Danks, while Alberto Callaspo is 5 for 9 with a walk against Danks. Now, when you put Callaspo at second, you鈥檙e sacrificing some defense. One scout who hadn鈥檛 seen Callaspo for a while was at a recent Oakland series and he was shocked by Callaspo鈥檚 lack of range. I asked Melvin about balancing the potential for offense, with Callaspo (though he is 3 for his past 34 overall), vs. a dropoff in defense, and Melvin said. 鈥淎 lot of times there is a balance to it, depending on how certain guys are playing,鈥?Melvin said. 鈥?Callaspo) does have some numbers and with the lefty (Jon Lester) on the mound, there鈥檚 not as much going on at second base. And here鈥檚 a guy who鈥檚 been playing third base for quite a while and now he鈥檚 playing Christian Louboutin Sale second so we don鈥檛 expect him to have the best range in the world. But he catches the balls that are hit to him and he鈥檚 done a nice job acclimating to that position for the first time in a while. But a lot of times with him it鈥檚 about the offense as much as anything else.鈥? And maybe seeing a starter he鈥檚 comfortable hitting against could get Callaspo鈥檚 bat going. Melvin noted that Callaspo is 鈥渘ot the lone ranger as far as struggling some offensively. We have several guys going through that right now, too.鈥? Sean Doolittle will throw to hitters tomorrow, in the batting cage if expected rain drives the teams indoors. He could come off the DL on Thursday or Friday. Here鈥檚 the lineup vs. Danks, a lefty: Crisp DH, Gentry CF, Donaldson 3B, Gomes LF, Norris C, Lowrie SS, Freiman 1B, Callaspo 2B, Fuld RF. Some broadcast notes: ESPN dumped plans to air the Cheap Christian Louboutin Shoes Sept. 17 game vs. Texas (they鈥檒l show the Angels vs. the Mariners instead, ouch), so CSN California has picked it up. The MLB Network will air Thursday鈥檚 day game here, so all the remaining A鈥檚 games will be broadcast.
