@@@ One man died and another was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after being swept off the rocks while fishing in Marin County. The men were fishing at the southern end of Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands around noon when the incident occurred, said Alexandra Picavet, spokeswoman for the National Park Service. Rescue crews pulled one man from the rocks offshore and transported him to a Marin County hospital. Crews found the other man in the water and administered CPR, but he was pronounced dead not long after, she said. The men鈥檚 names were not released. Autumn is especially treacherous for sneaker waves and rip currents, she said. 鈥淲e always warn people to be careful,鈥?she said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 not unusual this time of year to have waves and currents sneak up on you like this.鈥?
