The annual UACN Property Development Company (UPDC) sponsored tennis grand slam at the Ikoyi Club ended in style over the weekend with the company sparing no expense to make the tournament a memorable one.

Guests were treated to an exciting, fast-paced match between legendary Ikoyi Club tennis section team and Pineville Estate. The match which began with high expectations ended 33 -12.
in favour of Pineville Estate.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the tennis section of Ikoyi Club 1938, Mr Ede Osemwengie, commended UPDC for the sponsorship of the tournament and also for contributions to the development of the game in the country.
He lauded the participants for their sportsmanship and dedication throughout the competition.
Osemwengie said the section has had a good relationship with UPDC in the last four years of its sponsorship, just as he said the sponsorship has help build a cordial relationship between members of the club and executives of UPDC.
In his address, Managing Director of UACN Property Development Company, Mr Hakeem Ogunniran, expressed the company s continued joy at supporting the annual event and promised to make the tournament bigger and better in the years to come.
Winning team, Pineville and runners carted away various prizes.
Offering gratitude to the teams and tournament organisers for their hard-work during the tournament, Ikoyi club 1938 Chairman, Mr Adewale Doherty, described the tournament as one with lot of promises in the years to come.
