However, officials with the Snohomish County firm said Tuesday that it wasn鈥檛 the primary source of the potentially tainted spinach. It received the products from Coastal Green Vegetable Company LLC of Oxnard, Calif. Coastal Green, which issued its own recall, also supplied frozen spinach to of Petaluma, Calif., which pulled nearly 74,000 cases of products because of the potential contamination. Twin City Tuesday for several frozen spinach products, including Wild Harvest Organic Cut Leaf Spinach in 16-ounce frozen packages sold in Washington state. The items have a UPC code of 1153550170 and a package code: SELL BY 08.DEC.2016. L084WE. Most Read StoriesThe company also recalled 16-ounce packages of Cadia Organic Cut Spinach sold only in California; packages of Wild Harvest spinach sold in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maine and Delaware; packages of Meijer Organics Chopped Spinach sold in Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin; and 12-ounce packages of Wegmans Organic Just Picked Spinach sold in New York and Pennsylvania. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with any of the recalls. Listeria bacteria can cause serious illness in children, the elderly, people with compromised immune systems and pregnant women. Consumers who have the recalled product should contact the retail store where it was purchased.
