Korean Movies

Here are some 10 Korean movies of history a few years which i enjoyed. These range from the comic for the tragic, and involve both action movies and historical dramas. Three of them are extracted from events in Korea in the last Forty years or so.

My Sassy Girl - Based on a real life story that the man posted on the web, My Sassy Girl became extremely popular in East Asia back in 2001, if this was popular in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. This triggered a forgettable direct-to-disc American remake in 2008, starring Elisha Cuthbert (who's unforgettable). My Sassy Girl is about a university guy who meets a drunk girl - known only because the "Girl" - about the subway, and all the odd adventures they get into while falling for each other. You may never believe in which the plot goes into this.

Joint Security Area (JSA) - The Joint Security Area may be the DMZ between North Korea and Columbia, and also this movie tells the storyline of your double-shooting within the JSA. There's just too many essential parts they would need to change for American audiences. Oldboy was great, though.

Sympathy For Lady Vengeance - Like Oldboy, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance was directed by Park Chan-wook, and that is considered section of his "vengeance trilogy" (together with Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance). Whenever a woman leaves prison, after serving a sentence for a crime she didn't commit, you're ready to mete out revenge up against the real culprits.
