How many times have you seen a mainstream news report that begins, 'these days video games are big business!' What? That's still news? And that's where you'll see most games coverage – on the news when you have people queuing for the latest Call of Duty or whatever. We're fortunate because Tabitha Jackson who commissioned this programme doesn't know about games but realised their importance; she told us that what we needed to do was keep harking back to wider culture, to place games in context.
