Do you know each other? http://www.highhouseproductionpark.co.uk/contact-us cost topamax Goerner’s ability to turn sounds into coiled expressive gestures was revealed time and again in Chopin’s 24 Preludes. Sometimes it was too much, as in the G major Prelude, where gesture swallowed up the music entirely. In the final D minor Prelude it was a marvel, turning a small piece into a mighty expression of steely tragedy. In these little masterworks something only glimpsed before really stood out: Goerner’s ability to set a melody in relief by slightly anticipating the beat. It was a wonderful evening in many ways, but it would be good to see how Goerner handles music that relies less on colour and gesture. At his next Wigmore Hall date (on September 11) we’ll have a chance to find out.
