Most people aren't aware that everyday books, maybe even books you've in your house right now, are really worth plenty of money! Not all books are important, but how would you know the huge difference? So far, there was no easy method to tell.
I will give you the 'inside' story on the best way to setup your personal business buying and attempting to sell certain used books that could make you more now than you ever thought you could a home based job!
Because I was very small I have been an junkie, avid guide reader and lover of books. Many years ago I discovered that particular books are highly valued by collectors global and that you can earn an income, even $100,000 or maybe more every year buying and attempting to sell...used books! I could not believe it, until I discovered this 'hidden marketplace' for used books within my local library.
I was in my own local, public library 1 day looking for any information that I might use to produce some funds. I ran across a called, "Collected Books, Helpful Information To Values."
Since books were loved by me I was what it was all about and curious about this book. I started reading it and picked it up.
The book was almost dropped by me on a lawn, when I read a certain book, within my collection, was worth almost $3,500 and I NEVER knew it!
I decided to obtain a copy of this Guide and when I started using it I had my entire collection of books to see if some of my other books were 'valuable.'...
It took me several days, but had a Mine on my hands when I was done I realized. I'd 22 books that were valued at $200 or more, and the total value of my 'collection' was $6,275!
The frightening part was used to do not discover how useful a few of the books in my own collection was. Well, let me declare that another way- I didn't have a 'collection' at the very least I didn't think they certainly were a 'collection.' Because I loved them.. books were bought by me. I did so not know they may be VALUABLE. I'd NUMBER CLUE.
On the next almost a year I read around I can about used and rare books. I also picked the brains' every well-known and respected book dealer within my place that I could get to speak. I tried talking everyone and anyone in e-commerce, but many weren't willing to stop trying any of their secrets... except one old-time seller.
Probably he was ready to retire, or he only wanted to help me get going in this business. I actually do not know. But he told me enough to have me were only available in this business and also make a great deal of money.
Which was over 10 years ago...
Industry for rare and applied publications is HUGE and annually growing today. The Internet has made it so easier to buy and sell books. The marketplace is huge and the majority are building a small fortune in this nice "gentleman's" business.
It is also an ENJOYABLE business to stay, particularly if you love books! I think it is one of the best businesses to start out, one of the most rewarding and one of the most pleasant.
