What exactly is Lichen Sclerosus?

Lichen Sclerosus can be a chronic inflammatory disorder of the skin usually concerning the genital and anal areas. The disease is most prevalent in females, especially post-menopausal women, then men, and infrequently children. In addition to unbearable itching much like a chronic candidiasis, the disease may cause scarring of the vaginal tissues and thus, narrows the vagina, which ends up in painful intercourse. Many women lose their desire to have intercourse for anxiety about the pain. Less commonly, extra-genital Lichen Sclerosus appears on the chest muscles, breasts, and upper arms. Lichens Sclerosus isn't contagious.

Many doctors are not sure of Lichen Sclerosus and are not able to diagnose the disease correctly. Many people are made to see numerous doctors before a proper diagnosis is made. Lichen Sclerosus, much like a great many other chronic skin diseases, has received limited effective procedures. Generally, doctors advise a strong corticosticosteroid ointment or cream, to provide temporary relief from the itching and discomfort.

The Stem Cell Lift® Procedure

The Stem Cell Lift® can be a noninvasive procedure performed under local anesthesia. To help remedy anxiety as well as for patient comfort, oral sedative and/or intramuscular injections are generally administered. The operation is completed in three stages. First, the region from which you wish the fat to be extracted from is marked and tumescent local anesthesia is slowly injected using a blunt instrument. After having a short wait to enable the anesthetic medication to work, body fat is removed under local anesthesia employing a mini-liposuction method through engineered instruments. Second, the obtained fat is processed to target the stem cells and increase their ratio towards the fat cells being ready for injection. Third, local anesthesia is administered and also the super-charged adult stem cells out of your own body's fat with some fat cells are injected. A bandage is put on the area where the fat was taken. The entire procedure is done all in the same day in about 4 hours. People are capable of walk and resume normal day to day activities right away after the Stem Cell Lift® procedure.
