New Hope for Treating Lichen Sclerosus: Stem Cell Therapy

what is lichen sclerosis - Revolutionary advancements in stem cell therapy are transforming the practice of medicine and providing a range of new, effective and safe treatments for many disease conditions, for example Lichen Sclerosus. This new field of drugs is being termed Regenerative Medicine; since it utilizes the natural regenerative and reparative powers of stem cells to target tissues and restore them to health. Over the last decade, I have innovated The Stem Cell Lift®, a procedure that harnesses the effectiveness of your own personal body’s stem cells for use in reconstructive and cosmetic purposes. Today, we view remarkable results using the Stem Cell Lift® process of reconstruction of post-cancer scarred defects, for painful or damaged joints, ligaments and muscles, for wound healing and then for Lichen Sclerosus.

What is Lichen Sclerosus?

Lichen Sclerosus is really a chronic inflammatory disorder of your skin usually relating to the genital and anal areas. The illness is most prevalent in women, especially post-menopausal women, accompanied by men, and rarely children. Along with unbearable itching such as a chronic yeast infection, the condition might cause scarring from the vaginal tissues and therefore, narrows the vagina, which ends up in painful intercourse. Many women lose their desire to have intercourse for anxiety about the pain. Less commonly, extra-genital Lichen Sclerosus appears around the torso, breasts, and upper arms. Lichens Sclerosus just isn't contagious.

Many doctors are not sure of Lichen Sclerosus and aren't able to diagnose the illness correctly. Many people are forced to see numerous doctors before an accurate diagnosis is created. Lichen Sclerosus, much like many other chronic skin diseases, has had limited effective procedures. Typically, doctors advise a strong corticosticosteroid ointment or cream, to offer temporary relief with the itching and discomfort.

The Stem Cell Lift® Procedure

The Stem Cell Lift® can be a noninvasive procedure performed under local anesthesia. To alleviate anxiety as well as for patient comfort, oral sedative and/or intramuscular injections are generally administered. The operation is done in three stages. First, the area where you want the fat to be taken from is marked and tumescent local anesthesia is slowly injected utilizing a blunt instrument. Following a short wait to enable the anesthetic medication to work, fat deposits is slowly removed under local anesthesia using a mini-liposuction method through specially designed instruments. Second, the obtained fat is processed to target the stem cells and increase their ratio to the fat cells being ready for injection. Third, local anesthesia is given as well as the super-charged adult stem cells out of your own body's fat along with some fat cells are injected. A bandage is put about the area in which the fat was taken. The complete procedure is performed all within the 24 hour in about 4 hours. People are capable of walk and resume normal day to day activities right away following the Stem Cell Lift® procedure.
