Accessories are an important consideration with any new Motorcycle you get. Oh, don't forget you're going to need to power it; so there are batteries, chargers, adapters, cables, carry cases (leather or plastic?), plus lots more. You'll quickly discover that all those "extras" are not quite the same. Some are better than others, and some are more useful than others. So what's a person to do when evaluating? We spent considerable time checking out all the various Motorcycle extras. And now, we will present our findings to you.

There are a multitude of consumer reviews about these accessories. You can find some great reviews on various internet blog sites that offer the ability for users to give their opinions on a multitude of products. The company reviews will give you a biased view of the product whereas user reviews are more open and honest. These reviews are typically better because they are truthful and come from people who have real experiences with the products and can tell you whether or not the product is worth buying. Reading user reviews from real users will always grant you a more trustworthy response.

As for carrying cases, the Garmin 4.3-Inch seems to be a winner, too. Sales are very brisk at Newegg and Amazon for this one. Accidents happen, and you don't want your nice Motorcycle to get scratches in it or even worse - a dent. Always avoid doing anything that will mechanically shock your Motorcycle unit. Storing them properly is important, and this carrying case gives you a solid level of protection for the system when it is not in use.

Decide which accessories you must have. It will be difficult to resist buying all of the accessories available. This is what happens when you first buy something new and "shiny." What do you really want your Motorcycle to be capable of?, this is a question you should ask yourself BEFORE you buy. The travel adaptors are a must have if you are travelling alot. If you ride bikes you should consider the accessory that helps you gauge your speed. If your unit is portable you might want to consider a good carrying case for your Motorcycle unit. Choosing your accessories just got a whole lot easier because of the research you will do before you buy any one of them.

Anything manufactured for retail will vary between businesses, and that applies to accessories for Motorcycle units as well. The variations will be in construction, quality of material, features, etc. The smartest approach, we've found at least, is to do copious research and decide what you want before you go to a store. Doing that will ensure you will make the best buying decisions and won't fall prey to the pushy sales people.
