On October 23, 2013 Panama’s public work department (Ministerio de Obras Publicas de Panama) awarded Conalvias Construction Company legal contract for a project really worth just about 185 million dollars.

The most recent contract culminates the research, design, construction, funding and maintenance of the recovery plus growth work on the panamerican road. The project calls for an extension of 39.79 km throughout San Juan - La Pita over the following 3 year execution period from December 2013 to December 2016. “It’s an authentic achievement for Conalvias to continue participating in an excellent infrastructure works in Panama that improves the mobility of a fundamental artery of such scale as the panamerican road; it also provides the community and the country commercial advantages by reducing the cost of commercial traveling among regions,” said Andres Jaramillo Lopez, Conalvias CEO.

Additionally, the Panamá Canal Authority (Autoridad del Canal de Panamá) presented Conalvias Construction with a $16 million agreement for erosion control in the Mamei curve in Gatun Lake, located in the Panamá province. The erosion project includes the construction of an intransitive coated with a protective rockfill.
