So usually we get caught up in what I get in touch with the if onlys. If only my husband were nicer to me. If only I had a much better job. If only the young children had been grown and out of the home. The list can go on and on.

Happiness is something that so several folks strive for every day and however many instances it eludes them. Frequently, they feel that happiness can be theirs if only their situations had been different. Have you ever felt like that?

So often we get caught up in what I call the if onlys. If only my husband had been nicer to me. If only I had a much better job. If only the children were grown and out of the property. The list can go on and on.

We can waste so much of our valuable time dreaming of the if onlys. So numerous individuals fall into this trap and end up miserable most of their lives.

The issue is that they are searching for happiness to come to them somehow. As if it had been some thing that could be possessed. When happiness does come about to come it appears so fleeting that it quickly passes away.

Folks erroneously feel that happiness is just a feeling like some passing fancy. I am here to inform you that happiness is not a feeling, it can be a way of life. Happiness can be yours on a daily basis if you will only adhere to some fundamental principles.

Initial, you need to reside in the NOW. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised to us so you want to be present in the now.

Secondly, you have to manage your pondering and the thoughts that pass through your thoughts. Happiness can be named a state of mind and the way to happiness is bringing your mind into its suitable state.

If I live in Texas and I want to be in California I need to alter states. In order for me to be in that State I require to make some adjustments. In this analogy we will determine to take a train. The train need to be going in the suitable direction and we will arrive at our location. We should know which train we are on, or we could end up exactly where we dont want to be.

Consider of this train as your thoughts. Thats proper, your train of thought. If you dont want to stay in Texas you have to get on the correct train. If you let any train of believed into your thoughts then you will be taken to and fro and in no way arrive at the destination you want.

The question then is how do we get on the correct train?

The ticket to obtaining on the appropriate train is known as gratitude. Gratitude is an attitude and as we look to all that we have to be thankful for rather of dwelling on what our difficulties are we will find that we as well can be whisked away to the state that we wish to be in.
