Poor old Santa Claus. Sometimes he gets a negative rap. People say he doesnt represent Christmas well. People say he doesnt set an example for Christians celebrating December 25. And people saygasp!that he doesnt even exist. Plus, there are some people out there who are trying to confuse only who Santa is. Is he really Saint Nicolas? Or is he some imposter, some large elf from the North Pole who would like to get credit for anything that Saint Nick did and stands for.
Scary material, right? Well, if you're getting too upset by these anti-Santa ideas, perhaps you should stop reading this article today. It only gets worse the further you obtain into these anti-Santa theories.

To start, these anti-Santa people acknowledge that Santa has some really great qualities. Hes always cheerful and happy. You see, they say that Santa, with all his goodness, is just for children and not for grownups.
Even worse, they say that Santa is only around these days to create money for massive Eastern shopping syndicates. Hes just here to make others a buck. All that stuff about Santa offering presents, and spreading good cheer, is all made up, they say. The true reason for the man with the white beard and the red cap is to get us to consume, to spend money, to offer gifts the same as Santa does.
This really is horrible anti-Santa stuff, right? Well, believe it or not, it gets worse. These anti-Santa individuals carry on to express that Santa cant be assumed when he travels around the globe in a sleigh. Obviously, the anti-Santa folks have no faith in Rudolph. And speaking of religion, the anti-Santa individuals also say that Santa removes from the real intent behind Xmas, which can be to enjoy Baby Jesus.
You see, these anti-Santa persons say the true Saint Nicolas surpasses Santa. He was an actual person, they say, who believed and practiced goodwill to any or all men, women, and kiddies. He was kind and generous, and was a devout believer in Baby Jesus. And Santa isnt real, they say?
Had enough? Me too. Heres how you can understand that these anti-Santa individuals are way off base. What these anti-Santa folks dont understand is that Santa and Saint Nick are one and exactly the same. So you cant say that Saint Nick is better than Santa, or that Santa is copying Saint Nicks style. St Nick is Santa! Together, as one, they represent all that is great about Christmas, and all that we ought to practice each day, not merely December 25.
Therefore, please, anti-Santa bashers, please keep the big man alone. Hes never done any such thing but provide holiday cheer, love for mankind, and tons of fun.
