On October twenty three, 2013 Panama’s public work department (Ministerio de Obras Publicas de Panama) awarded Conalvias Construction Company a contract for a project valued at somewhere around 185 million dollars.

The newest contract culminates the research, design, construction, funding and maintenance of the recovery as well as growth work on the panamerican road. The project calls for an extension of 39.79 km all the way through San Juan - La Pita within the next three year execution period from December 2013 to December 2016.

“It’s an actual achievement for Conalvias to keep going participating in an excellent infrastructure works in Panama that improves the mobility of a fundamental artery of such scale as the panamerican road; it also offers to the community and the country commercial advantages by reducing the cost of commercial traveling among regions,” said Andres Jaramillo Lopez, Conalvias CEO.

Additionally, the Panamá Canal Authority (Autoridad del Canal de Panamá) awarded Conalvias Construction with a $16 million agreement for erosion control in the Mamei curve in Gatun Lake, located in the Panamá province. The erosion project includes the construction of an intransitive coated with a protective rockfill.
