I found another amazing product on Amazon.com, this folding collander in the photo. I have found them in several kitchen stores, but could not bring myself to spend the money that they wanted for it. The kitchen stores wanted over 20 for them! Amazon was surprisingly less and I did not have to pay for shipping, because I have Prime. It is the same strainer that I found in the stores, only square, which I like better. The ones in the kitchen stores were either round and smaller or had a long handle, like a pot. The nicest part about it is that it folds up and takes up so little room in the cabinet. It pops open simply and closes just as neatly. I am not fearful of it melting either when I wash hot vegtables or pasta. Even a cheap one will not melt. The bendy part is made out of a strong rubber and the white part is Polyethylene Plastic or PP, generally used in cooking gadgets.
