I have never ever truly liked phone cases if Im honest! I mean, the phone is designed to fit perfectly in your hand right? Why would you tinker with that? That used to be my argument anyhow. In spite of my recurring smashed handsets I sang to this tune through each and every single iPhone upgrade until now. I have had each one! I was also the guy who was happy with my iPhone 5 screen size and possibly even mocked the Samsung supersizers! Needless to say both views have now changed drastically. Not only have I jumped to the impressively sized iPhone 6 Plus but I have also become one proud case owner! But WHY you ask? Well first of all the iPhone 6 Plus was just unbelievable to behold. Absolutely beautiful. I travel a lot and I thought this would be the best travel partner for battery life and to enjoy films on the aeroplane. When it arrived it truly was a massive event. Not just because I was thrilled but this thing is literally halfway to an iPad Mini! I soon understood though that this pricey investment was fretting me under such constant use. Certainly the epic parting of cash was something I had to safeguard and not repeat but just holding this thing at times, even worse with a somewhat greasy paw here and there, was frightening! I guess this is the downside to the iPhone 6 Plus being such a smooth, curvy and large device, specifically considering it needs to run as an actual phone held in one hand! So I took the plunge last month to get a case for the first time and thought the look of the new Boom SHOCK2 cases on Amazon. I typically like purchasing most things from Amazon as they are quite sharp with their deliveries as well as returns if ever required. I certainly was not disappointed! This case is actually rather special. First of all I was looking to safeguard the iPhone 6 Plus with some proper life proof protection. Check! This unique case combines a soft, rubberised TPU material case with a hard outer frame clipped in over the top. These combine for awesome protection but still in keeping with a slim design. Secondly I needed to get some kung-fu grip to not drop it in the first place! Double Check! Really good to hold the tyre-like pattern on the back and the somewhat textured sides makes this feel extremely safe in my hands compared with the phone on its own. Not only does it look freaking awesome it includes a media stand built in without being bulky. I have had 2 rather long business trips in the last 8 weeks and settling back at every chance on the train, at the airport and on the plane to watch video on the iPhone 6 Plus with the stand propping it up nicely has been a pleasure!
