Making Signboards - A plotter can be a vector graphics printer's that connects to some computer. Pen plotters print by moving a pen over the the surface of paper. Which means plotters are limited to line art, rather than raster graphics just like other printers. As the letters are cut, the backing stays properly aligned within the moving rollers. This won't work when cutting a floppy material without any backing, like normal fabric textiles or leather. Cutting a hole or slit can cause the unsupported material to droop and fallout of cutting alignment.
