I run a report directory on my site, and I am seeing an increasing quantity of articles being published, only for the backlink provided in the Resource Box. Visiting alternative to linklicious maybe provides tips you might use with your cousin. This is probably due to the increasing amount of PLR articles and material that is becoming available. Now, there's certainly not anything wrong with this, I just believe that authors who are doing this are missing out on potential traffic and/or consumers. Such reference boxes is only going to benefit their site rankings in any internet search engine that values incoming links. Is this a bad thing? No. Where they are losing out can be as follows. Much of the traffic to my report service comes from search engines, by people trying to find information on a specific topic. Now, this user types within their key-words, clicks o-n the search box, and is given a listing of related sites. They chose one, and are taken up to the author's article. They browse the article about, say, snowboarding, believe 'This is interesting' and go to the author's reference field at the end of the article to see what else they've to say on this issue. There, they locate a link to some site promotion cellular ringtones. May be the audience going to be impressed, or thinking about this? Not very likely. They wish to learn about snowboarding, not personalize their phone. I really believe among three things can happen then The reader leaves the entire site in disgust. Yes, put a link in to your website in the resource package, but most article sites let many links, therefore for goodness sake put a link in that' ;s associated with the article subject also, and preferably put it in first, before you lose the consumer. 'But my site does not have such a thing to do with that subject about it' Then add a thing that does. Increase a report directory, and have the reference field saying 'To learn more articles on this subject, go here.' Add a web service, and have the written text say 'To see links to web sites on this issue, click the link.' Or just visit ClickBank, try to find related projects, and have a link to them, together with the link saying something like 'If you prefer to learn more on this subject, obtain this product.' Ultimately, not a direct url to the merchandise, but a cloaked or redirected one. By doing this, you still get that connect to your site that you were after actually, but, also, you have the opportunity to make money from the audience in a fresh way. A win-win situation. Plus, you don't seem like someone simply distributing purchased material on any subject only for the benefit of the backlink it'll give you. A more professional look. Isn't it worth taking the time to make greater use of one's resource package?.
