Superheroes battle monsters and room invaders in fast steps games. Players take on the role these superheroes in epic fights. In other games players race cars boats motorcycles helicopters along with planes against villains and in many cases less evil opponents in order to win high stakes races.

Parents teachers preachers and politicians have criticized and in some cases even banned electronic games. Electronic games are already blamed for poor grades poor conduct and even illness. People have been trying to play childish games on computers almost since the times of the very first computer. The first actual electronic game titles as a consumer product were built as coin operated arcade games in the first 1970s. In 1971 Nolan Bushnell Ted Dabney and Jordlag Alcorn formed the first activity company Atari. This was the first company to build a business of developing and selling electronic games program.

In a short time a spate of game companies sprang right up trying to develop software for your infant electronic game market. The result was a glut involving poorly conceived games hitting the market. Consumers turned aside in droves and the house electronic game industry soft hit the skids.

Through the early 1980s electronic game titles were being developed for notebooks. Color graphics flexible memory space and general purpose cpus made games much easier to play on personal computers. The game console business was all but dead.

In the late 1980s two Japanese companies introduced a new generation associated with game consoles that were technologically capable of handling the new electronic video game titles being produced.
