Superstar voting, answer duration, along with the suitable responses

I've been noticing some tendencies about answers on Quora about the final 5-6 months, and i believed I would share them in the publish briefly, and in no individual get, listed here are my observations:

Voting up a star remedy w/o pursuing the issue and without reading through other responses submitted just after the movie star writes her or his reply is perhaps reckless. Alright, reckless is really a strong word, but severely, it won't support ensure the very best respond to or, in a few situations, the best answer, gets near the best. For example, a 2-3 individuals (bravely, I would add) submitted solutions into a question that Larry Summers additional. On this particular thread, Summers respond to the concern most effective, but -- imagine if, imagine if -- a person or some people additional responses that were better, but under no circumstances obtained discovered as a consequence of a hit-and-run superstar vote?
The longest respond to isn't constantly the most effective (or suitable reply). I've found that there are some actually, seriously lengthy solutions to inquiries which are interesting but use 3-4x level of words and phrases to acquire towards the same issue. Nonetheless, there seems to be some sort of psychological desire for lengthier responses that provide additional detail (and quite often added view) once the query posed will not seriously warrant it. The person inquiring the problem may just want the answer, not excess solutions sprinkled with too quite a few thoughts.
On queries that have unique proper solutions, I consider to not only vote (when i do vote), but to touch upon the solution at the same time, stating with my name clearly that this will be the suitable answer. I figured this out on the entirely insignificant problem which includes just one apparent response, but seen that 7-8 men and women wrote each one of these theories about how to answer the problem. They all had random votes, but ended up evidently incorrect. I voted up the right respond to (which didn't make it towards the major), and afterwards commented on the solution, "This will be the suitable solution." Now, for this a person, I understand I am proper, and i wouldn't do this typically, but this kind of approach may possibly assistance on specified queries. Most likely in the future, PeopleRank will help the votes be weighted the right way celebrity voting.
