If you are a dedicated gardener like me, then knowing that February is the shortest month of the year doesn't make it seem like anything but the longest one. By the middle of the month, I have seen enough snow and I'm tired of layering up against those frigid temperatures. And, after a winter season like we've just had, even March is not looking much better. One helpful use that I find for this time however is to prepare my list of necessary supplies for the approaching gardening season. This year, I am already happy to have found something I haven't seen in a long time - good quality leather garden gloves for dealing with pickers and thorns. These gloves are by Fir Tree, and they really fit the bill. They have super long sleeves made of cowhide which protect my arms right to my elbows. The rest of the glove is soft goatskin which I prefer over any synthetic material I've ever tried because it just does a better job of keeping my hands safe from the pickers. I can't wait to try them out in my raspberry patch. If you are like me and you want to be prepared when gardening weather finally arrives, then check these gloves out. If you click on the link below, it'll take you right to Amazon where they are on sale at a great price - check them out Oh, and here's to the end of snow shoveling.
