What's Lichen Sclerosus?

Lichen Sclerosus is a chronic inflammatory disorder on the skin usually concerning the genital and anal areas. The condition is at their most effective in females, especially post-menopausal women, accompanied by men, and barely children. In addition to unbearable itching much like a chronic yeast infection, the condition may cause scarring from the vaginal tissues and consequently, narrows the vagina, which results in painful intercourse. Many women lose their desire to have intercourse for fear of the anguish. Less commonly, extra-genital Lichen Sclerosus appears on the chest muscles, breasts, and upper arms. Lichens Sclerosus is not contagious.

Many doctors do not know Lichen Sclerosus and aren't in a position to diagnose the disease correctly. Many patients are instructed to see numerous doctors before a proper diagnosis is created. Lichen Sclerosus, as with many other chronic skin diseases, has had limited effective treatments. Generally, doctors suggest a strong corticosticosteroid ointment or cream, to supply temporary relief from the itching and discomfort.

The Stem Cell Lift® Procedure

The Stem Cell Lift® is a minimally invasive procedure performed under local anesthesia. To help remedy anxiety and for patient comfort, oral sedative and/or intramuscular injections are generally administered. The procedure is carried out in three stages. First, the location from which you want body fat to become obtained from is marked and tumescent local anesthesia is slowly injected using a blunt instrument. Following a short wait to match the anesthetic medication to operate, body fat is slowly removed under local anesthesia utilizing a mini-liposuction method through specially engineered instruments. Second, the obtained fat is processed to concentrate the stem cells and increase their ratio towards the fat cells being ready for injection.
