The preeminent show of the 1990's decade, Seinfeld grew from a concept of "a show about nothing" into a holy pop culture icon - not that there is such a thing wrong with that... The show follows the life span of comedian Jerry Seinfeld and the uses of his small, quirky, bald guy companion, George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Jerrys neurotic neighbor Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), and Jerrys ex-girlfriend Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Over time, theyre joined by a loveable cast of characters that includes Newman, Uncle Leo, the Soup Nazi, Frank and Estelle Costanza, the Bubble Boy, and numerous others

The Seinfeld DVD (Seasons 1 & 2) supplies the initial glance into the world Jerry, you start with The Pilot (event 1) that has been originally entitled The Seinfeld Chronicles. The first scene requires Jerry commenting to George in regards to a button on his shirt (the same dialogue later occurs in the last scene of the series finale). These beginning attacks give insight into the growth of the shows four main characters with discussions that vary from Georges preliminary admission that hed like to be an architect (episode 2) to Kramers trend for get rich quick schemes like a pizzeria (episode 4). From day one, Seinfeld established itself as must see TV, producing such memorable periods as The Pony Remark, The Stock Tip, The Offer, and The Chinese Restaurant.

Apparently, in the pilot episode of Seinfeld, Elaines character doesn't yet exist, and Kramers character (not yet called Kramer, but Feldman) is more of an unemployed, slow, shut-in neighbor compared to a quirky and dynamic Cosmo. Playing the role of the female in George and Jerrys life is a wisecracking waiter named Claire (Lee Garlington) who never appears in later attacks.

Nonetheless, this initial episode displays the flashes of brilliance that made Seinfeld a cultural phenomenon. The show is basically about nothing. Jerry and George do some laundry Jerry and his friend watch some TELEVISION George and Jerry have some coffee During that time, the dominant subject of discussion is just a woman that Jerry met while getting his comedy act on the road. Shes visiting stay at his place, but he doesnt know whether he should grab a mattress for her or not. Feldman (Kramer), George, and Jerry debate the topic endlessly before woman arrives and Jerry learns that its all unnecessary since shes engaged
